Wonderful experience! We are a family of 5 and this was our first Cruise. We cruised the Carnival Dream to Costa Maya, Belize, and Cozumel. We weren't able to port in Costa Maya because of weather which wasn't Carnivals doing. Embarkation wasn't bad considering they have to receive 3,000 to 4,000 people in a short amount of time with a fairly quick turnaround. Once we got on board we were able to eat and our room was ready about 30 minutes early. Room was as expected and departure was on time. Amazing experience! The staff was so polite and accommodating making you feel right at home. Exploring the ship on the first day was cool. People and staff hide ducks that you can find throughout the cruise which adds some excitement to just walking around the ship. Food is amazing! You can eat as much as you want while each restaurant/food place is open. The buffet is amazing too! The ship was very clean all of the time and the crew seemed to make all the passengers feel calm and welcomed. The karaoke bar is cool too just make sure you secure your position as early as you can because it can fill up quickly. Entertainment on the ship is continuous with the big screen playing in the front portion of deck 10, ping pong tables on deck 11 and adult section (21 and over) on deck 12. The adult section is just a chill section to lounge around on the upper deck of the ship. Each morning I would get up to watch the sun rise and was greeted kindly by a crew member. Coffee and juice is always in abundance. Some things I wish Carnival would work on are:
- More receptacles in the rooms. (with 5 people trying to charge devices) There was only one in the main cabin and one in each bathroom. Some next to the beds would be more accommodating.
- We did not get to port in Costa Maya. Even though this was not a Carnival Cruise issue (due to weather) I wish they would have prepared some sort of compensation for the passengers either in the form of "cruise bucks" or "casino point" or a couple free drinks or something rather than just say "sorry for the inconvenience" and keep moving on.
We will certainly be booking a cruise with Carnival in the near future and look forward to many more adventures at sea. Thank you.

It was my first cruise. I met some great people. The red frog was the best bar. The bartenders were the best. The food was decent. The service all over the boat was great, but apparently, you're supposed to have a room steward that kinda helps guide you and make everything a good experience, I never once met mine. There are lots of activities if you like that sort of thing. There were lots of children that seemed to be having a blast. There seemed to be a little bit of something for everyone. If you don't like people or crowds, it's not for you. But all lines move pretty quickly. It's the worst The very first day because it's several hours before anyone has access to their rooms. The pools and hot tubs stayed pretty packed. All in all, I would go again. We went on a five day. The first few days were confusing, but once you get acclimated, it gets better.
Cruising on Carnival is about the best value vacation in 2024. Being able to see several countries and eat top chef cuisine for the price is a great deal that only gets better in this inflationary environment. Carnival provides an abundance of destination, dining and entertainment options. It's worth getting the drink package to better know the total cost of your vacation upfront. We have sailed Carnival 7 times and see no reason to sail any other cruise line.
Excellent experience. I loved the room, food, experiences, locations and did I mention the food? Just so happy with the trip. The last day was the hardest day of the year
I sailed out of this port in January of 2023 and it is beautiful, well organized and checking in was simple. Allure of the seas owes me nothing. Looking forward to selling again soon!
Great boat. best so far. This staff was amazing and the boat was super super clean. I had no complaints. Over 6,000 people on board and it didn't feel like it
We drove roughly 8 hours to Galveston Port to go Carnival Breeze last week ago. My first time going onto Carnival Breeze. Excellent customer services!
It was my 1st ever cruise. It was enjoyable. I'm still wandering if I'll go on another? Nothing wrong with it, just not sure if it's for me, that's all.

I've been on this cruise line 4 times and it's been an awesome experience Everytime. Planning on next year's cruise for my daughters graduation party. Can't wait.
Great experience! Great service! From the waiters all the way to the people that clean the rooms. They memorize your name. Great food except the Southern Fried Chicken! Everything was exceptional. The only thing that sucked was the ice cream machine was not available the last day! Had a blast! Would highly do this again.

This was the best part of our adventure at Moody Gardens! Those Margaritas were amazing! The paddle boat tour was approx 45 mins long and so relaxing!
I took a group of clients here for the dinner Thanksgiving theme boat cruise since we were visiting for a client getaway trip — and it was one of the highlights of our trip. There were 17 of us and we had a blast with the DJ (because he was playing awesome music), the bar staff was so awesome and accommodating, the Thanksgiving meal was pretty tasty, and we even encored the DJ. If you decide to do this, I can’t promise you that you’ll have a conga line and a dance party — but if you happen to start any of those things, you’ll probably have the best time ever. Thanks for having us!
It's a pretty fun time and a nice trip around the bay. Dinner cruises rotate their meals and entertainment, so it's not always the same. It is great to have the boat on the island and support Moody Gardens.
Delicious food, outstanding staff, full service bar, great music during the entire dinner cruise and a spectacular sunset. We are booking out next dinner cruise!
The ride was a short but very memorable experience. There were other boats on the waterway and a very lovely scenery all round.
My wife and I showed up by 12:15pm and the Boat took off by 1:00pm.

This was a good experience. And one thing I like to see add a prayer room for people who want to get together in a private setting to share their faith. With a time of praise. On a volunteer basis. I think this will be go.

This is a fun 45-minute boat ride. Plenty of seating, an AC room on the lower floor with concessions. The reason I give 3 starts is because the price of a regular water bottle is $5. Unfortunately the gift ship was closed when we went. There's not much to do other than sit and take in the view which is great! But boring for little ones. We did spot a lovely dolphin ❤️
Visited Moody Gardens today and bought the $75 Value Pass to see everything. While the Rainforest Pyramid and the Aquarium Pyramid were AMAZING, the Paddlewheel Boat ride was underwhelming at best. We expected some announcements, or someone telling us what we'd be seeing, or literally ANY interaction with the crew. No crew was visible, unless you count the people selling concessions or trinkets in the gift shop. Five dollars for a bottle of water? No thanks. The boat ride was slow and relaxing, but definitely would not ride it again.
Back 4 LONG YEARS AGO I stayed at the Galveston Inn and I was concerned about parking the vehicle the cost where out of this world but I was happy to find out that I could leave it their for free traveling on the cruise. I went down stairs prayed about a driver or taxi or someone to pick us up for drop off and pick up after the cruise. I ran across MISS MONICA CARD I SAID LORD YOU KNOW I HATE TECHNOLOGY BUT HELP ME AND SHE WAS THE ONLY NAME I KEPT HEARING. I called and she answered in the most clamming pleasant voice and I knew she was the one. Here I am 4 years later going on my second cruise and I WILL ONLY USE HER SERVICES AND FULLY TRUST HER 100%. Give her a call she was truly a blessing.
The two stars is for the food; did the Colonel's BBQ Buffett and the food was just mediocre at best, dry and bland. I will say the beans were pretty decent. I could (and did) go to Fogo De Chao and get food that was 10 times better for less then what it cost for this excursion (and you're not even guaranteed a private table on the boat unless you drop a lot more).
The boat ride itself was entertaining and I give it 4 stars, however with it being a nighttime excursion the gift shop was closed which was disappointing and a missed opportunity by Moody Gardens.

Monica deserted us. We waited two hours for her to pick us up and take back to her parking place. We phoned her about seven times. She answered maybe twice. Maria answered twice and hung up on us. I was finally given a ride to pick up my vehicle to drive back to the pier to pick up family, friends, and luggage. I’m just glad I had to park outside or I might still be waiting. We were driving to Oklahoma and because of her non-service we were two hours late. She isn’t prepared to handle more than a couple with their luggage. She talks a good game but doesn’t perform well. She got one star because there weren’t negative stars. We did not have a walker and the road closures and heavy traffic did not cause any problems from pier to her place of business. She could have sent one vehicle to pick me up but didn’t. The fact is that she is trying to provide a service that she isn’t equipped to do. We did stop and she didn’t say that would be a problem.
Wonderful experience with Monica. When no one else could find a room on my daughter's big 10th birthday Monica came through. She gave Superior Service with a smile and I was able to go on my Disney Cruise in peace. I called literally 20 times in the month of January nobody can find anything until Monica made a way. Thanks for everything!!!
