Great place to hang out with friends and pick from a huge variety of beers, ciders, and they even have beer and wine on tap! They had this pumpkin beer from Maine! They also have board games and sometimes people come in with dogs and cats. 11/10

Good beer selection but the tiny bartender with the handlebar mustache needs to watch his tone or next time i come in there its going to be a real problem
The prices at this bottle shop are absolutely out of control. I stopped buying my beer here even though I live right across the street.

Positives - the people working at the counter are very nice

Love, love, love! Tons and tons of bottles - beer, cider, seltzer, wine and sake. You name it they have it. A fantastic rotating selection! You can enjoy on premises (and catch the Phils!) or take away. They also have rotating drafts (beer, cider, wine, slushies!) which are great as well. Our go to (non-liquor) alcohol store!
guy literally ID me which isn't the problem it was his attitude towards me. talking about "once I ask, I asked" (I left passport at home and my current ID is expired, I didn't think I would need it since I've been coming here for almost 2 years) not going back there ever again based of the customer service.
I’ve had the pleasure of visiting Mural City Cellars twice, and each experience has been incredibly memorable. The first time was the day after my wedding, with my in-laws, making it our first honeymoon spot. Francesca and the team made it special by sending out glasses of wine, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere that truly marked the occasion.

Most recently, I celebrated my birthday there this past weekend with a large party, and once again, the team went above and beyond. Even when we stayed slightly past closing (so sorry, guys!), they were kind, accommodating, and gracious. Nicholas even helped my dad with his confusion about buying a bottle in-store versus buying one to enjoy in-house. It’s this exceptional service that sets Mural City Cellars apart, making every visit special.

Besides the outstanding service, the wine itself is phenomenal. Every visit starts with one glass and ends with multiple bottles, thanks to their incredible selection. Their vegan-friendly options are also a great find for those seeking such wines.

I can’t thank the team enough for their hospitality and for making each visit unforgettable. I’ll be recommending Mural City Cellars to everyone I know! Thank you guys so so much!
We had an event last week and we had a great time. It is a wonderful place, great interior design and great wines so highly recommended to get a drink there. Wonderful place to chill!
What a great spot! The wines are amazing and the staff is even better. They are so knowledgeable and friendly. We got the best service! I cannot say enough good things!

This place has such a great vibe! Spent a hot summer afternoon in the indoor area and want to come back in cooler temps to enjoy the outdoor garden. Wine is outstanding and snacks are yummy. Service is top notch! I will go back!

I love how inviting this spot is- whether you have dogs, cats, or kids. Their selection is always rotating and even has a variety of non-alcoholic drinks. Paws down, Milkshake's favorite spot

What a gem! My husband and I stumbled upon Mural City Cellars on Mother's Day and had such an amazing experience. We had our 14 month old son with us and this place is amazing to bring your kids while also having great "local" wine. They source all of their wine within 300 miles and they were all very interesting and unique! The owner was there and she also has a young child so she was so sweet and understanding with our son. In fact, there were 4 other families in the bar! The space is gorgeous and just gives you a casual and homey feel, while also feeling like a special occasion. We will absolutely be back, very soon!

Great selection of unique wines. Friendly staff. Has a couple Wine Club options- we’ve been members for a couple years and love the diversity of options and value.
It's Whole Foods so it's really awesome. It's also a place where Amazon returns can be dropped off. Very good service. The staff is professional and friendly.
I highly recommend this store.

Bit crunched and crowded location but still has the same options and quality you expect from Whole Foods.
Fresh meat and seafood, hot bar, salad bar, alcoholic beverage section and more. Just not as nice as the location by the Art Museum.
Pretty unreal to be charged $55 for 1 bottle of wine. The price reflected a service charge? If you sit at the bar you are served. If you don’t then you serve yourself. Doesn’t really make any sense if you go there and don’t sit at the bar. Maybe change the wording/policy? Place was nice and staff was super friendly. Other than that not worth going to.

Not sure why they need to charge an extra $20 to drink a bottle of purchased wine inside. I went to purchase 1 bottle of wine and it came out to $68 which is wild. For a place that’s self seating and self service this is SO EXPENSIVE and unnecessary.

In the city's expanse, one Whole Foods stands,
With bathrooms that prompt wringing of hands.
Two stars, begrudgingly given, for sure,
For at least there's a door to endure.
Yet cleanliness there never commands.

An employee, tasked with keeping it neat,
Scans a ticket, then makes a swift retreat.
No scrub, no mop in sight,
A gross oversight,
And prices high, a less savory feat.

Great little stop while on Passyunk Ave. Good selection of beer to purchase and some great tap selections. They had a Hill Farmstead Citra DIPA while I was there that was fantastic! I will definitely stop in again!
I absolutely love this place! Since I started to eat ( healthier), WHOLE FOODS has been my #1 choice for shopping for my family. The prices are very reasonable and the quality of the products are excellent! I highly recommend WHOLE FOODS to anyone looking to save some money and still enjoy quality!
This was a great little spot to spend an hour before our dinner reservation. There is both a small bar with beers on tap and coolers with a wide variety of beers, both craft and the regular stuff which my husband was very pleased with. You can just grab what you need and chill. I had a really delicious strawberry NA beer suggested by the staff, really the best NA beer I have ever had. Most of all this is just a fun, relaxing easygoing stop. We had tired feet after several hours of sightseeing and this felt perfect.

I hosted my 30th birthday at Jet back in November 2023. The service was extraordinary. From the start, communication with Jet was timely, helpful, and easy. Emily, the manager, was a delight to work with and even made little menus for my guests. The bar packages were extremely reasonable and I was allowed to bring in my own decor and birthday cake. We selected the drink package with a signature drink and the red wine mule was DELICIOUS. The snacks were a hit and everyone really enjoyed the drink options. Adam, our bartender for the night, was so friendly and helpful! I can't say enough about how wonderful Jet is, and I'm so glad we have such a great local spot close-by.

My husband and I are also members of the wine club at Jet and they have such a fun wine selection and newsletter. Jet regularly hosts creative events and are such a benefit to the neighborhood.
I knew right when it happened that Amazon's acquisition of Whole Foods would be the end of an all-time run. One can’t help but draw a parallel to when a 34 year old Kobe Bryant blew out his Achilles. Everyone wanted to believe he would come back the same, but deep down, we all knew. It was over.

To be clear, there is no hate in my heart towards Amazon. I am a prime member and that two day guaranteed shipping has saved me more times than I can count when the Holidays come around. It has been a godsend at times.

However, I knew that their data-driven approach that puts consistency and profit over everything would not mesh with everything I had come to know and love about the Whole Foods culture.

One thing I loved about prime Whole Foods was that every store you went to was different and had a unique feel. It had such a personal touch that I imagine was a reflection of the local community and the team members. When I would travel or be in a new city, I'd do my best to get to the Whole Foods there just to see what the vibe was. You could really get a feel for what the city was like. Different produce, different meats, different niche brands that you couldn't find anywhere else, different food at the hot bar, different local merchants, etc.

I will never forget the Whole Foods in Hillcrest, San Diego and their $5 brussel sprouts happy hour. My college roommate and I were LIVING in there in 2015. We got to know the servers, coffee bar and juice bar workers, employees working the checkout register, etc. I need to shout out Nancy, who was a server at the restaurant in the back. We’d walk in and she’d shoot us a big smile and point at us while saying “brussel sprouts?” She’d ask about our lives and how our classes were going and all that. Damn I wonder what Nancy is up to now lol big shoutout to Nancy.

My roommate got a Whole Foods hat from a friend he made at the juice bar and it was too small for his head so he gave it to me...it was also too small for my head ahahaha but I wore it with so much pride. “Y'all don't have a Whole Foods Hillcrest hat!?!?!?! Couldn't be me!!!!”

We returned in 2019, and I’m sure you can guess. No brussel sprouts happy hour. No restaurant in the back. No familiar faces. No familiar products. No Nancy……….. You get where this is going.

Walking into this Whole Foods on South Street yesterday felt no different than walking into a Ralph's. There is no character, there is no local community feel. Everything is the same as it is at every other Whole Foods. The cool local brands seemed to have disappeared entirely from the shelves. They have seemed to stop the war they were waging on GMOs.

Perhaps this is just anecdotal evidence, but the employees don't seem to enjoy being there like they used to. People used to genuinely enjoy working there, or at least were great at faking it ahahaha. Now, it just feels like any other grocery store with slightly better products but at a much higher cost.

I used to get inspired walking into a Whole Foods, like damn what cool new snacks, produce, drinks, meats, or hot bar items am I gonna find today!? Now, I just get sad. It reminds me of that band or artist that you grew up loving when they are on the come up. They are young and hungry and speak to you and your soul... but then they have that hit album or get that big record deal, and they just aren't relatable anymore. They lost the hunger and the fire. But maybe that's just the way life goes. Every star in the solar system will die at some point. Okay sorry I’m getting a bit dramatic, let me close this up.

The golden age of Whole Foods is something that may never be duplicated. Jordan’s Bulls come to mind. But even the great Michael Jordan ended up playing for the Wizards…

I regularly visit this Whole Foods and find its cleanliness and product variety to be its strongest points. The store is always well-maintained, offering a pleasant shopping atmosphere. The range of products available is impressive, catering to various dietary needs and preferences with ease.

However, I've noticed that the prices tend to be on the higher side, especially when compared to the ACME store across the street, where many similar items are available at more affordable rates. While I appreciate the quality that Whole Foods offers, the price difference occasionally leads me to consider other shopping alternatives. Nonetheless, when I do choose to shop here, I find what I need and enjoy the overall experience.

I planned a surprise party at the Wine Gardens this past May and couldn’t recommend it more. Nicholas & Francesca (and the whole crew) were so incredibly kind and helpful in their correspondence and the day of the event. They helped connect me with other vendors, offered a complementary wine tasting and helped wrangle folks and make sure we had everything we needed.

The wine garden is lovely, the wines are all excellent, and everyone had a blast. The pet-nat rosado and skin contact orange were highlights. Can’t wait to go back next summer.

(Sorry for the late review!)

Upscale and expensive, even for Rittenhouse. Pretty much everything is high-end except for the produce. The big draw is clearly the beer selection, which takes up an entire aisle. Lots of small craft and imported beers. I’m not a beer expert by any means, but I gotta say that just seeing the sheer number of different varieties and options is impressive. Otherwise, it’s not the best place to go to grab a few necessities. Customer service has spanned from very friendly to lots of attitude when I’ve gone.
Clean, well-stocked market with staff who are generally friendly and helpful. It's our go-to grocery for getting vegan baked goods, soups and fresh veggies. They have seasonal plant displays inside and out. We appreciate getting the Amazon discount, and their prices are okay.
Always ask for the check at this place.
I was charged $40 for produce that costs $3… glad I returned and asked to look at the check, because the total number seemed way higher than what I would expect. The guy at the counter was so rude and defensive about it (didn’t even apologize for this mistake, acted like it was me who did something wrong, not them) that now I’m thinking it might not have been a mistake after all

Jet is a delightful wine bar on South Street and a great addition to the area. The interior exudes an early 2000's vibe, and was relaxed and inviting. Staff was very friendly and had a quick turnaround on drinks. The wines were extremely varied and I really liked how wines were grouped together and presented on the menu. Will be back!

A block from my condo. A small grocery store. Service is good but the store is small. They have a good selection of cheeses, snacks, noodles and sausages. They also sell beer and wines.

Food and friends owner chased me down the street and took my lunch bag over a pack of ramen that was not rung up. I had my hands full from shopping and mother died last night and owner proceeded to cuss me out and tell me he was posting my photos because “people like you should be ashamed of yourselves” when I explained I spaced out and was an honest mistake a product was not rung up. He chased me down over $4.79 of ramen. This store is a disgrace and I used to shop here twice a week.

A gem of a place. We sat in the garden and drank affordable, all-night happy hour wine on a summer weeknight. It was lovely. And the hummus and pita was absolutely incredible - and a steal at $4!

Good for beer/wine or food ingredients in a pinch. Not super fresh produce and we did once buy a loaf of bread only to take it home and find it covered in mold. Otherwise they are fairly well stocked with a variety of basics
Popped in for a west African food pop up by Chef Nana Wilmot. The food was delicious per usual and this space is super cute. We’ll definitely swing back to Jet to try their menu and enjoy this little outdoor oasis.

They got rid of some of their best options in the bottle shop and replaced them with IPAs that only an insufferable hipster could love. Those Down Easts, alcohol free Guinness, and Two Locals Nubians were phenomenal.

But no, we apparantly need more $10/12 ounce ipas that taste as if you mowed Clark Park and then tried to infuse the drinks with the grass blades.

The wine selection is sort of okay, except the better wines are around $50 per bottle and the rest being barely worth their price tags.

The best bar on East Passyunk, hands down. I cannot fathom how many beers they have here, both on draught and in the fridges. They also have cheeky shots of liquor. Every worker is remarkably kind, personable, and knowledgeable about the beers they offer. Don’t skip this spot!
Seems to have become more of a natural wine shop than a beer store. Back room of fancy stuff is gone, no Belgians, etc. Which honestly probably means imma spend *more* there ha

I’ve been here 3 or 4 times since I’ve been in the area and it’s been a great local grocery store. Trader Joe’s is closer to me but you can’t get these exotic drinks just anywhere. Alcohol selection at least for beer is stellar. Lots of mix and match options and fresh produce. They do have a lot of vegan cheese options which makes me very happy. Go for the beer, come home with a few extra goodies

My time spent at Jet Wine Bar was thoroughly enjoyed. Nick was a fantastic bartender and was informative on the different types of wines and all the food that was served. I ordered a flight (recommended by Nick) and other wines as well, all were delicious. The popcorn and Mac and cheese were certainly dishes I’d enjoy again. There is a lounge downstairs that you can use on a busy night, or be able to reserve out for events for no fee. There is also a garden available in the summer. Not many places deserve a 5-star review, but this one does.

First visit after a few events on a Saturday night in Center City Philly.

Parking can be a challenge if your driving.

Small 1 room bar area with modern decor, friendly staff.

Kitchen had just closed for the night no food for us.

Fair prices and fine wine, I will return.
In full disclosure, I live only a few short blocks from here, so I'm a local, and I'm a "LOCAL" but what's not to like about this place. Great selection of beer, always changing. Some really special and hard to get selections but a solid selection of the widely available craft beers. The staff loves beer as well, so no slackers here just to earn a paycheck, knowing nothing about beer. Don't be afraid or intimidated to ask about a beer you've never had, they know them all. It's Friday as I type this, you know what rhymes with Friday? ... Beer!
Great selection, great staff. They have turned me on to some great brews just by conversing with me and getting a feel for what type of beer I was looking to try. It's a little pricey at times but not as bad as some beer shops elsewhere in the city. The weekly beer tastings are also a great thing to try out.
