It was such a great experience at Eataly, fresh homemade pasta was served in our table. The service was also amazing, the waiter was really friendly and took the time to explain everything on the menu which I appreciate a lot because we were able to choose the best option for us. We really enjoyed our date and the atmosphere is awesome. Also there are many options at the building where you can buy Italian supplies to cook your own pasta at home!
I highly recommend pistachio dessert, it was incredibly tasty!

The only good thing about this place is the vibe. Went in with a group of 5 people and all lf us had a bad experience. I had a $10 mini dessert that was the quality of something you can get at Jewel Osco. A friend got a coffee that they made incorrectly, then when they got the coffee correct it tasted absolutely terrible. Another friend got a large coffee, they charged him for a large, and made it in a medium. He had to bring up that the coffee was a medium and their excuse was "they ran out of large cups" and didn't even tell him.... I have no idea how a place can have this many flops in the span of 10 minutes.

Overall, enjoy a very mid experience at extremely high premium prices.

Beautiful store and well organized. Although the service wasn’t bad, it could improve. At this place, you can have a little taste of Italian cuisine, coffee, and bakery. It is a little pricy for what you get, but you are in a touristy area.

This is not a very good Whole Foods overall, at least in the section of prepared foods. Mid-day, the shelves are often bare... no salads, no sandwiches. No pizza. The meat/fish/produce areas are good. In the milk section, though, it is often that milk and cream has expiration dates close to day of purchase, which is very different from my experience at WF in Providence.

Had a great Pana bread… fresh and authentic Italy. Tiramisu was like hmmmm not really tasteful. Espresso was good after some explanations how to do….;—) but great location. Love it

BOTTOMLINE: Great Italian food paired with sophisticated red and white wines at a high price and poor service.

PROS: Huge variety of pizzas, pastas, seafood, quality beer and wine, all in one market inspiring place. Multiple paid parking options with validation discounts for Eataly guests. If you prefer, access by foot, bike or public transportation is easy.

CONS: Service is friendly but inconsistent. You may need to chase a waiter or not get service, period. Prices are too high for the service level. You can find similar quality places within a block, offering premium customer service. Parking is expensive, despite the validation.

Attended a wine tasting here recently. The wine was delicious. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. Would definitely return.

Nice location. Upstairs seating is clean and comfortable. Food situation is sometimes rough though because they often run out of things.

I was absolutely blown away by this amazing store, it looks tiny from outside but when you get inside it is cavernous and packed with the most wonderful fresh foods.

Abundant fruit, vegetables and even a hot and cold buffet style area where I picked up some soup and a full mixture of food… not to mention all the normal supermarket stuff!

When the location at One Chicago opened, it was great. The second floor eating area used to be much nicer and had lots of cozy places to sit. They took out the sofas years ago. The hot bar was better but it’s no longer very very exciting. The items are mediocre at best. Today I stopped in and they don’t even have the water dispenser working at the bar. I was told that while juggling the hot bar items I just bought and a cart, I had to walk all the way back to the bathroom and use the dispenser there. There’s not even place to put my hot bar items down while trying to fill a cup of water. I expect more from Whole Foods like better tasting hot bar options, a water dispenser in a convenient location and more of there more popular options at the deli counter.

WF should be ashamed of their fresh lettuce selection. Consistently awful, bruised, dried out.

A ploy to get us to spend $5+ on their extensive aisle of lettuce wrapped in single-use disposable plastic?

Love coming here religiously, if that’s for a bottle of wine or some ingredients for dinner even dessert.. I always find something I like. Having a glass of wine and enjoying the restaurant as well is never disappointing would recommend it always.

I love this small Whole Foods! It's the perfect size for my neighborhood, and it has everything I need for my weekly grocery shopping. The produce is always fresh and delicious, and the meat and seafood counter is top-notch. I also love the selection of prepared foods, which is perfect for busy weeknights.

The staff at this Whole Foods are always friendly and helpful. They're always happy to answer my questions and make recommendations. I also appreciate that they're always willing to go the extra mile to help me find what I'm looking for.

A Disheartening Experience at Green Grocer: Poor Treatment and Harassment

I recently had the unfortunate experience of visiting Green Grocer, and it was nothing short of disappointing. From the moment I stepped into the store, I sensed an unfriendly atmosphere that left me feeling unwelcome and uncomfortable.

The poor treatment began at the checkout counter, where the cashier was rudely interrupted by seemingly a manager or owner? It seemed like I was just another inconvenience rather than a valued customer. I attempted to engage in polite conversation, but my efforts were met with curt responses and an overall lack of interest in providing any semblance of customer service. Later I found that this individual went by the name of Dileep something. I thought this was a woman-owned business? Women's Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC) provides certification for women-owned businesses. Does Green Grocer certify for this or not? Why is it labeled women-owned?

As I left the store, I couldn't shake off the feeling of dissatisfaction, so I decided to voice my concerns to the store management. I believed that sharing my experience might help them improve their customer service and create a more welcoming environment for others. However, little did I know that my attempt to provide constructive feedback would lead to an even worse situation.

Upon raising my concerns, I was met with hostility and defensiveness from the store management. Instead of acknowledging the issue, they tried to shift the blame onto me, making me feel as though my concerns were unwarranted and irrelevant. The harassment continued as they attempted to discredit my experience and even insinuated that I was trying to cause trouble for the store.

It was clear that Green Grocer had no intention of addressing their shortcomings or making amends with disgruntled customers. Instead, they chose to sweep their poor treatment under the rug and target me for daring to speak up. This kind of behavior is not only unprofessional but deeply troubling for any establishment that claims to value its customers.

In my opinion, a business like Green Grocer, which disregards customer feedback and engages in harassment, does not deserve the patronage of the community. Customers should feel respected and appreciated when they choose to spend their hard-earned money at any store, but my experience at Green Grocer was far from that.

I sincerely hope that my review serves as a cautionary tale for potential customers considering shopping at Green Grocer. Until the store management demonstrates a genuine commitment to improving their customer service and addressing concerns with sincerity and respect, I cannot recommend this establishment to anyone.

All this on top of a rude “owner” who seems to take pride in harassing customers who offer constructive criticism on a neighborhood grocery store. On behalf of the entire neighborhood please just be better!!! Our small slice of the city deserves better.

Don’t shop here try a different grocery store in the area! This old foods sales spoiled food. I bought English muffins and when I got home I pulled it out of the bag and it was molded as well as the raspberry had green mold spot on them, that I had just bought! I was debating on saving some of them but threw the whole thing away. If I felt like walking 3 blocks back to the store I would have told them. But they should really check things on the shelf!!! I would have that Ken a pic of the English muffins but forgot. After reading other reviews it seems I’m not the only one that had mold in their products.

EDIT: Owner continues to harass people at their workplace. It's very strange that such an accomplished clarinet player would waste his time on petty vendettas rather than admit fault and change course. I would say life is too short, but it would appear the owner here would not. La dolce vita.

Good place to buy fresh food and it was good within walking distance from my hotel. Very tidy and most staff inside market were kind but the staff at self counter was very exhausted and didn't help customers well. she looked like she doesn't want to do anything.

Great shop and tremendous asset to the neighborhood. You can always find something interesting and unique here. Prices are on the higher end, but you have to pay for this type of selection

Always a delicious 😋 experience at Whole Foods. I gotta the white fish with capers and olives, General Tsao Tofu and Cauliflower, macaroni and cheese, mixed veggies, and a kale and tortellini soup. I was so pleased with the taste of the food and the freshness. Chicago Whole Foods is a win!!!

Love this new whole foods location. Salad bar and hot bar are great. Breakfast bar disappoints. It is expensive - we managed to get two salads from the bar and a drink for $60. Like their pastry, muffin and pie selection as well as all the fresh produce. Sushi rolls are pretty good too. I could come here every other day. Wallet says no though 😄

Whole Foods is my go-to store here in West Loop. The store is clean and spacious and they have various selection of every single product. Clean and fresh produce available, sometimes things are not stocked so it can be a hit or miss. I visit Whole Foods once a week and it’s always clean compared to the other grocery stores in the neighborhood. Price is decent given the quality. Employees are friendly and helpful. Also, there is an Amazon return drop box available, so really convenient location.

Love whole foods, another location with a great hot and salad bar selection, just as expensive as all the other ones, but super delicious. Although I would love them to restock hot bar items during prime dinner time and not go on break when trays are empty.

Really sad their breakfast bar does not really exist anymore, they used to have the best grab and go breakfast. Still, their hot bar selection is pretty decent for lunch and dinner and the pastries are yummy. It is quite expensive though, 12$ per pound for the combined hot bar and salad bar is really overpriced, given there is also lots of items like mashed potatoes or salad greens that should definitely not cost 12$ per pound….

The prices are good for a convenience store and the staff are always really friendly! They do have a $3 card minimum but don’t charge any additional fees for using a card so I understand. Super convenient to stop in and grab whatever I need!

I had the best time at Garden Gourmet Market. the wine selection was amazing and all the craft beers were delicious. The staff were so friendly and accommodating. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for an awesome spot to grab a wine or beer.

A stunning Sunday brunch at this Spanish-inspired neighborhood restaurant located in the heart of Lincoln Park.

The restaurant has been rated as one of the top restaurants in 2022 by Bon Appetit, and it's easy to see why.

The brunch menu is simple yet interesting, and the dishes are carefully thought out and beautifully presented. The intricate plating is colorful and pleasing to the eye, and each component adds unique flavors to the overall dish.

The ambiance is perfect for a neighborhood restaurant, with silverware, plates, and some all furniture from CB2. The restaurant is a good size and not too crowded, but reservations are always recommended.

With drinks and dessert, our total came to about $40 per person, which we found to be a fair and reasonable price for a high-quality brunch in Chicago. We thoroughly enjoyed our Sunday brunch here and would highly recommend it to others. In fact, it's one of the best brunches I’ve had in 2022, and i dined at many places in different cities. Highly recommended this place!

For my trip home to Chicago for the holidays, I made a reservation for Bocadillo Market after seeing it on Bon Appetit’s 2022 Best New Restaurants list. I came for their 10am-3pm Sunday brunch with three other family members. It’s a cute, cozy space with a wall of artisanal kitchen goods for sale. Favorite brunch food items were the serrano ham, egg & cheese bocadillo and smoked hake & mussels (interesting and delicious herby, garlicky salsa verde broth). The sandwich transported us to a Spanish street market – simple yet delicious. The duck confit waffle was a good salty/sweet dish, but I felt that the duck was a bit overcooked. There is limited seating in the restaurant, so unfortunately we were seated near the door, which was quite chilly on a Chicago winter day, even with a space heater next to us. Overall though, Bocadillo Market served up flavorful and unique brunch food, and is a nice addition to the neighborhood!

This store might be small, but it has quality products, and each item is well stocked and organized. Also, I think most of the items that can be found in other stores can also be found here. You will be surprised to know that the prices of their products are the same as those in other stores. They have tons of craft beers and wines to choose from. They have a coffee section that is nice and cozy. They offer a lot of organic and locally produced items. Everything they have is fresh, including the meat station, bread, snacks, and all the other foods you can find inside. It is great to know that they also offer vegan products. The customer service is great, and I can tell that the people here are very knowledgeable about their products. I highly recommend this store.

I've been shopping at Garden Gourmet for many years now and I can't say enough good things about the place. The produce is always fresh and the prices are fair. In addition, they have a fantastic craft beer and wine selection that can't be beat in this town. The staff is always helpful too.

Almost everything that you can find here at the Green Grocer Chicago is entirely local, organic, and sustainable. They have a wide variety of beers and wines to choose from, which you do not usually find in any other stores. They also have vegetarian products, and they also offer gluten-free products. The ambiance is clean, and the items are all organized. They have a lot of stock for each of their products. They also have great customer service, and I am so glad I found this store. The prices of the products are almost the same as in other stores, so you should definitely consider visiting here because you would not have to worry whether an item is available or out of stock. They also have chocolates, meats, and fresh baked goods. This store is almost like a small supermarket; I highly recommend it.

When Bon-appetite Magazine gave this place a Top-10 rating nationally we had to come check it out.

We started with Sangria (well I did) then came the Roasted Beet salad, followed by the Grilled Squash Blossoms, then the Artichoke-Mushroom-Gnocchi, a glass of wine , then the Roasted Iberico Pork with grilled corn and scallions. Then a slow two mile walk (waddle?) home.

It was wonderful! Next I want to try the Paella. I heard the new preparation method is amazing.

For the brazilians people, they have many good options of food like beans, rice, salad, chicken and meat. It’s a self service and the bowl is $12 per 1lbs.

This store is very nice and, at the same time, very convenient. I do not live in or near this area, and how I wish I did. This small grocery store is amazing because it has a lot of wonderful products.
First of all, the store is clean and bright. It may be small, but it was very clean inside. It also has a well-organized shelf. The layout here is so nice and everything is accessible. They also have a well-stocked selection of products. Even though it is small, it also has a variety of products, especially in their wines, produce, and other products.
Second, their products, anything of a kind, are of good quality. When it comes to their produce, they offer a lot of organic products. Produce is also fresh, as is the meat, bread, and any other products that I have found inside. They also have different kinds of snacks, which, surprise, also have healthy options. They actually have a lot of healthy options on most of their products, which is really nice.
Lastly, their prices are fair and reasonable, and their customer service is great. The staff are friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable about the products. As for the prices, they are mostly very reasonable, but there are also some that are quite pricey, including the fine wines and other kinds of liquor they have.

Whole Foods is my go-to store here in West Loop previously and so far, based from experience I must say that it is a good grocery store. Everything is always easy as a pie. The store is clean and spacious and they have various selection of every single product. Their produce is always fresh and in a good quality that goes same as well to their seafood and meat section. The quality of their products makes them special to me although other grocery stores also have a good quality product but this location of Whole Foods is the better one for me. Prices are average and the truth is other grocery stores have lower prices. They also have sales but it is only limited to selected products. The store has a convenient location which is near to where I am staying. Staffs in here is friendly and they are very nice too. If there is anything that I want to recommend, it is definitely their produce, seafood and meat section.

I just want to share my good experience on this store. It was my first time visiting the store and I really like specialty products and all and my good friend recommended this store. I was expecting like a wide grocery store but it is the opposite, this is a cute grocery store and it is just literally a small spot but it has a lot of wonderful products inside including the specialty products my friend is talking about and surprisingly, they have a small liquor selections and they even have organic wines and few liquors that is hard to find and some are those that cannot be found in any other grocery stores i know. This is a really nice store. It is also clean and well-organized and the staff inside is accommodating. The only thing is that the prices of their products are expensive, I noticed it on their prices but they do really have a wonderful selection of essentials and specialty products and the likes.

I am genuinely surprised I haven’t reviewed them before. I shop almost exclusively at their city location. They do have four or five locations in addition to the city location. I love their reviews and their great buys on $10-$30 bottles of wine for everyday use. Additionally I love buying futures and wines that are scheduled to be delivered later. I have started building out my cellar. Additionally I love going to there wine tastings and the once a month introduction to all the new inventory they brought in. I’ve been shopping there now for 25 years. They’re brilliant.

What an incredible find! We were looking for places to try this weekend, and stumbled upon an open reservation here. Come to find out, the restaurant recently opened.

The food is top notch. For a dinner of two, we ordered an appetizer, split three small plates, and split two large plates. We finished it off with an ice cream sandwich. The meal was one of the best I've had in some time.

Make sure to get the artichoke shared plate. It was incredible.

One note: a few reviews mentioned it is BYOB. The restaurant's liquor license just went through, so they do serve drinks.

Amazing store with amazing and very kind employees like Arianna she’s always so kind to me and my family and the owner is a great person. They have the best lasagna I’ve ever had and the gunner bears that come in the plastic container are always so good and fresh 10/10 would recommend it’s an overall amazing store that cares about the customers and the products they have. I love that they had revolution brewery beers if you haven’t tried them yet I would recommend fist city it’s my top favorite. Overall the store employees and owner are all very respectful and friendly. Foods is always fresh and tasty! Come here for your best experience they have a little of everything!

Very charming little spot that has an extremely extensive craft beer and cider selection, wine and champagne options are also impressive. They also offer a selection of deli meats and cheeses that are packaged and ready to go. I also love that they have a San Francisco Sourdough bread among their specialty breads. The wall behind the counter holds a high end liquor selection that's impressive and rare for a smaller grocery store. And the bookstore like decor is really cool! Prices are very reasonable, the employees are really nice and I love love love, that they are open until 9pm every day of the week. Even Sunday! All covid precautions are observed, posted and enforced and the store is always clean. I've never had a bad experience there and continue to return!

Huge selection of wines, a solid shelf or two of premium booze and a small citation of craft beers. They’re eager to help offer suggestions that don’t necessarily break the bank even though they certainly carry bottles that would. First time coming in, and I will be back.

Its in the basement of the building which makes it difficult to find. The front desk staff/guards are not very friendly. Hope the owners can address this so they get foot traffic!

Owner is an awesome dude. They opened a kitchen a few months ago and now carries subs, soups, salads, chicken, pizza and more. Friends love the pizza and have asked me where I got the pizza from. They have good hours and open until 10:30pm on the weekends. I live in the building and make it a point to buy what I can from them because I support local busines. Dining area is being added also. Highly recommended!

Located right inside the south entrance to the River City condominium building, the River City Convenience Store is a well-stocked shop that carries a large inventory of snacks, cold drinks and an a reasonably impressive craft beer selection. The staff is friendly and always nice. They have recently opened a deli-like counter, where you can get simple, but tasty, sandwiches, pizza and other snack foods.
