If you are searching for that extra special wine this is the shop to find it! Lovely wine shop with a vast variety of options! I was impressed with the selection and the owners knowledge of wines. Will definitely be back for my holiday beverages!
This is a great little wine shop! The owner is very knowledgeable -- I've never been steered wrong. You can find affordable (but still very good!) wines if you're on a budget, or some pricier bottles if you're looking to impress guests! And if you're looking for women-owned wineries or biodynamic wines, you can find that, too! It's a great place, and for those (like me) who don't live in Highland Park, parking is easy, and it's also an easy walk to the Metra. I recommend the shop, and the wine club -- it's been fun to try out new wines that I might not ordinarily grab off the shelf. Check it out!
Friendly service, nice shop and great recommendations!

Vin Chicago is a wonderful wine / spirits / craft beer retailer, where a wide variety of wines can be found at great prices. The associates that I've interacted with are very helpful and friendly. You often find customers buying in bulk, and I can assume it's because they know a good thing when they see it. While I mentioned craft beer and spirits, those are very limited in scope, but their variety of wine is impressive and I'm sure they can get you something if it's not in stock.

I really like this place. Cheese boards were excellent, wine selections were very good. Service was very good. The no tip policy (any tips go to a local charity) is also a nice concept. One thing i would love to see as I have at some wine bars in the city is some seating that has more of that "home" feel, a few softer, plusher seating. Not redo the entire place but maybe just add 2 or 4 of the more comfy seating for couples who want to sit back and relax.

I view them as my personal wine cellar. This is a well curated retailer. Their ratings and descriptions are superb. Always interesting features via e mail, great selection, great end cap deals. Not a dud bottle in the place. Staff knows their business. I won’t buy Champaign any where else.

My new "go to" place for wine. Fantastic selection for the Oenophile and the "amateur". There are many well rated wines between $10-$15. I always order online and they have several weekly specials. There are also highly rated expensive wines for the unlimited budget.

Do not let the out of the way location and size deter you. They have a great selection of wines and the staff is quite knowledgeable. The prices are competitive as well.

Love the wide selection and value of the wines here. One of my favorite trips here is to pick a region (France, Spain, Italy, etc.), a couple of styles/grapes (any white or not Chardonnay or Sav Blanc or any reds but Cab Sav.) and a price range ($10 or under $20 or whatever) and then pick a variety of wines to fill a case. Almost never get a bad bottle! Service is friendly but not stifling. Prices are better than Binnys, usually, comparing bottle to bottle. But this is not a "full-service" store that will have everything in stock all the time. Grab the good stuff when you see it because it might be gone the next time you go.

Great selection of wines from around the world and the United States. Knowledgeable staff. Sign up for their email notifications. They also scan the wines you purchase to give you notifications of similar wines coming in. They also have wine tastings. A hidden treasure.

Walked in for the first time, and was looking for specific wine varietals. I ask the lady behind the counter if they carried any and she literally laughed in my face, I couldn't believe it. But I came in for a good wine at a good price so I wasn't going to be deterred just because of one rude employee. I picked up a Gewurztraminer and asked another employee if they were familiar with this bottle and they confidently told me that it was a semi-dry wine. Perfect. I Bought it, took it home, and opened it. It was pretty good for only $15, but it wasn't semi-dry at all, it was very sweet.

2/5 stars because although they have a good selection at fair prices, the 2 employees I had interactions with sucked.
