I failed swim qual four days in a row. On day five, the last day, they just made us tread water for thirty seconds. We all passed.
Great!

The pool is very nice here for my daughter's water polo camp
The guy at the desk was really entertaining and energized. He didn't act rude or inappropriately in any way. The lifeguards introduced themselves to me and helped me get a lane. I liked that the awning covered the south west deck side of the pool & one whole swimming lane in shade. What an appropriate addition for sun protection... that was a nice surprise.

Situated within the vibrant SDSU campus, the Aztec Aquaplex reigns as one of the finest pools in the city. This state-of-the-art facility offers a haven for swimmers and aquatic enthusiasts, providing an unparalleled experience that surpasses expectations.

The Aztec Aquaplex boasts top-notch amenities and a meticulously maintained environment. Immerse yourself in the crystal-clear waters, where every stroke feels effortless and every lap invigorating. The pool's design and layout are tailored to meet the needs of both recreational swimmers and serious athletes, ensuring an enjoyable experience for all skill levels.

Beyond the exceptional swimming facilities, the Aztec Aquaplex provides a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere. Whether you're a student, a faculty member, or a community member, you'll find a warm and friendly environment that encourages a sense of belonging. The staff members are knowledgeable and attentive, always ready to assist and ensure that your visit is as pleasant as can be.
Good pool, just needs a scrubbing to the floor, great temperature and heads up cold showers until TBT. 🫠🫠🫠

The lifeguards can be a bit surly and demanding, and not friendly at all, but they know what they are doing. As long as you follow their instructions and keep quiet, you are good to go. I mean admission is free, so what do you expect. You get what you pay for.

This is a good-sized competition pool. The place is safe and easy to find. It is close to restaurants
I am a runner and not a frequent swimmer, but I do know from swimmer friends the care and maintenance of the pool is superb. I find many of the community residents swimming laps for physical conditioning. I am biased, but as a resident/owner for many years, love our community of Escala for all it provides!

I find it deplorable that this public university pool is not open to the public (it used to be). Public pools have very limited hours, probably due to lack of funding, and private pools are very exclusive. It gets hot in San Diego; show some solidarity and offer more public opportunities for kids to cool off.
I love going here in the late mornings I have the whole gym to myself!

Wow, wasn't expecting that.

Pool was burning my eyes when I was playing a game with my school. And had a weird taste when water went into my mouth

Pool is well maintained.
Hardly busy 9/10 you'll have your own lane
If you happen you available to work on one of the bases like the Navy base Point Loma is like one of the best views you could ever get to San Diego but the only way you can Get on Naval base point Loma is you have to be military or somebody with a cat card or a contractor Otherwise just forget about it
Fantastic.
Nice place to do sightseeing

Great staff that really care about training recruits and Marines. I would suggest everyone attempt their qualification of intermediate swim.
The gym is free for active and retired military. parking is free and it's close to home and not very many people are in there

The staff that worked there were very polite and there hats they were were so cool! Seemed all of them were wearing the same uniform and were tight to thier body. The pool was a bit crowded and showers were a bit cut short due to overflow of customers there.Overall I wouldnt go back there despite the life changing 3 month vacation i took there.
Attended the Robosub event at the Transdec anechoic pool. Great fun. Beautiful weather and views. Ho rah Navy at SPAWAR.
Went at 5:30 a.m. free parking access is free the gym is small and it's close by to the house
Life guard was a bit rude but over all a good experience.

This place is a great affordable way to spend a day with the kids. Staff is nice, pool is warm and it's a very family atmosphere. Wish they had a snack bar but that's not worth knocking it for. This is slowly becoming out family summer tradition.

Great pool. Lots of lanes short course. I was there the 3rd of May and the first time it could be considered crowded. $6 to lap swim and $2 for an hour of parking. Only negative for some is it doesn't open till 1000 during week and winter

Great pool! Separate area for adults with floating loungers and plenty for kids to do too. Saltwater so no icky chlorine. Plenty of shade. Great value!

Pretty nice area :) they have a large number of chairs so they almost never run out. Really pretty pool though I wish it were a bit deeper and warmer. But still very nice :) the hot tub is good as well, but could be larger. Some of the chairs are old and could be replaced. But overall, it's really nice and I usually spend a bit of time here at least every other day.
The water was cold, and the swimming area is a tad bit crowded. A great place to learn how to swim. I witnessed first hand how easy it is for the instructors to resuscitate drowned victims.
