If you are looking for a luxurious stay in Scarborough, look no further than Derwent House Apartments. This hidden gem is truly one of a kind. As someone with family in Scarborough, I’ve experienced a wide range of hotels, guesthouses and apartments over the years—some good, some not so much—but none have been as spectacular as this.

We stayed in the Ganton Suite, which is spread over two floors. It is a spacious two-bedroom, two-bathroom suite complete with a fully equipped kitchen that had everything we could possibly need. The lounge area was equally stunning, featuring a beautifully decorated Christmas tree and a cozy living flame fire that created the perfect festive ambiance.

Every detail was carefully thought out, making the apartment feel warm, welcoming, and indulgent. We couldn’t believe how lucky we were to step into such a beautiful space for the Christmas period. The experience far exceeded our expectations, and we truly felt we had been treated to a slice of luxury.

From the moment you arrive, Claire the owner ensures that you’re made to feel like a cherished guest rather than just another booking. Whether it’s the spacious, beautifully appointed rooms or the attention to detail that elevates every aspect of your stay, this place truly stands out.

It goes without saying that we will absolutely be back. From the bottom of our hearts, we want to extend our deepest thanks to Claire for making our stay so memorable. She is a true credit to this industry and an absolutely wonderful person.

Has bed bugs and cockrochers no sound proofing shared entrance with actual residents noises bar outside with chavs also a gypsy Romanian community all around absalute nightmare AVOID ! AVOID ! AVOID !

We rented a number of the apartments for a birthday and couldn’t recommend them more. Absolutely stunning accommodation, kitted out to the highest standard in a great location in Scarborough. Every single detail had been thought through (including a fantastic bespoke guidebook giving us some great tips on Scarborough and the surrounding area). I can’t recommend this place enough. It was the perfect base for us, and we have already been talking about the idea of booking another week to “work from home” in the apartment! Having stayed in a number of places in Yorkshire, this has to be one of the best there is in terms of quality.
