This place is a tourist trap. Completely overpriced and lacking of quality. I had an rump steak with grilled vegetables. The steak was dry and absolutely not to the standards of what Argentina has to offer. Definitely not recommend, Palermo has great places to eat and experience the real Argentinan quality of food.
We got the meat cuts for two. We tried a few types that we hadn't had before, like kidneys. The meat was cooked well and came out in its own little heated grill. I just wish they had some condiments or at least bread. The best part of the meal was the dessert. The apple pancake was awesome. All said and done about $80 usd.
This is a super spot near the Tango theaters and the Obelisk. Tasty, quality food. John, our server, was patient with us as we are English speakers, and gave us amazing service. The place was full. Enjoy!

There are much better places to eat in BA. Wine was good and super tasty. Food was fine but too low for the Argentinian standard. There were also plenty of areas for improvement in service. Steak Medium/Rare, hasn't rested so when I had a few bites it was well done. Several things we asked the staff only came after asking several times. At the end of our visit it was pointed out that the minimum tip is 10% despite the mediocre service. Fairly anti-social.
We got served a salad with yellowish lettuce and avocado that was covered in black, overripe layer. Waitress had a lot of justifications on why they served these not so fresh looking ingredients. T-bone steak was kinda chewy and the size didn't not reflect the price...

Decent steak place and popular among tourists. We waited over 90 minutes for lunch. Limited space inside the restaurant but there are some outdoor seatings. The steaks we had were above average. A little less than American price. May take 10 minutes to count the pesos if paying in cash.

The reviews and hype were right. A great meal w superb food. Steak was cooked just perfectly, good service. Good value too IMHO especially compared to other similar restaurants around the world.
Highly recommend. Brilliant food, lovely, attentive staff and a wonderful atmosphere. Don't let the location in the busy tourist area fool you (we usually avoid these and use local knowledge) it is 100% worth it if you're new to Argentina.

Super friendly service and excellent dinner! We were looking for a parrilla without that tourist vibe. This restaurant was it! Locals area, great tasting beef & other asados, an excellent tortilla pie, and some Mendoza Malbec reserve. Comfortable patio setting away from the typical tic-tok tourist crowd. Must applaud the top notch friendly service!

Amazing restaurant. The staff were fantastic! The food was amazing! They were very accomodating and understanding when the steak was overcooked. They immediately replaced it with a perfectly cooked medium rare/rare steak. It was superb! We highly recommend going. We went to Norte and the atmosphere was great!
Based on other reviews and the experience I had from other steak restaurants in Argentina, my expectations were perhaps too high. Too much fat in the meat, too slow to get the food and almost impossible to get a server's attention. It is first time in Buenos Aires that I didn't leave a tip.
As a vegetarian I had a pesto tagliatelle. My fiancée had the chorizo beef. Food was delicious and the portion size was big. Service was very good.
We had ojo de bife, chorizo and papas. Ribeye (ojo de bife) was terrible. First time they made well done instead of rare we asked, and it was as hard as a shoe. Then we asked for new one, and it was blue rare but surprisingly still very hard. So in the end we just asked this meat for takeaway and tried to make something of it in the owen.
So, it was the worst steak in Argentina for more than 7 months here. Better buy piece of meat in supermarket and cook it yourself.

Worst asado I have ever had in my life, I have had a lot!
Asado was not salted, it was full of fat and was chewy.
Papas fritas were soft and mushy also not salted.

It’s clear this place is here for location, not quality.

Meat lovers, rejoice! Hands down the best parrilla in BA that deserves all the hype. They are fully booked almost 2 months in advance, but with a little bit of luck and early arrival (come before they open) you may end up on the waiting list and your name (depending on the party size) can get called in less than an hour. It is soooo worth the wait. The portions are humongous and every bite packs a lot of flavor. The servers are very attentive and knowledgeable, wine recommendations on the spot. Overall phenomenal gustatory experience!

Wow! We took Promo Bife Chorizo for two and it was just perfect! The menue came with a baked queso, french fries and one baked potato with salad and bread. Everything was super delicious and the staff were smiling always and in a good mood. Also the place is extremely clean and lovely decorated. Many thanks. We highly recommend this place
I’ve been here twice. I’ve tried the asado premium and the entraña and they were both great. They were good portions and came with sides. I chose fries both times.
I also liked the atmosphere. I travel solo and it didn’t feel awkward eating here by myself. But it’s also a good place to come with friends.

Disappointing experience. When we walked in it took a while for anyone to acknowledge us and once finally seated it took 15+minutes for a server to come over. At this point we should have walked out but they appeared understaffed so we gave them the benefit of the doubt. We started with dry, cold bread; the salsas for the bread came after we were done with the bread. Additionally, the food came out before our drinks. At this point we’re parched and our server is nowhere to be found. Sometimes I can overlook poor service if the food is amazing but the food here was very average. The meats and the fries were extremely greasy. The only food we enjoyed were the empanadas. In a city so large and with so many options, I’d skip this tourist trap and find something else.

Delicious food at an unbelievable price. There’s a lot of grills in this area and this one serves great quality meat for a tenth of the price. Would highly recommend a specific cut of your liking since the parrilla contained some cuts that weren’t that good. That staff was friendly and attentive!
Came here for dinner with the family… the chicken Milanesa napo is huge and could easily be for 2 people.
The Choripan is big too!! Pasta is pretty good and prices not bad.. including receipt in the pictures , also the caesar salad was excellent .. Only thing I gave 4 starts on service is due to is very slow even tho we were the only one inside .. great servers, polite just slow at this time

We came here twice during our time in Buenos Aires - the first time where we waited 1.5 hours after arriving at 8pm and the second time was for their happy hour when the total bill is 40% off if you get a reservation before 8pm.

The bread was crunchy on the outside and soft in the inside, the toast “amazing”. We ordered a salad, some meats, Sorrentinos and a bottle of wine. Everything was delicious! At the end, they gave us 2 courtesy drinks😍

Quite underwhelming introduction to Argentinian cuisine. Great presentation. Slow service and a Monday with no one in there. Don’t go for the overcooked platter. Go with a steak and ask for medium. Superior Malbec. Amazing wine but they didn’t have a hand in that.
Das Restaurant "El Pensador de Palermo" ist mein Lieblingsrestaurant in Palermo! Es gibt köstliches Rindfleisch vom Holzkohlengrill (Ich empfehle das Chorizo oder den Spiess (Brochette lomo). Auch das Püree ist ein Traum, es ist mit viel Butter zubereitet und auch die Pasta war erstklassig (Ravioli mit Spinat-/Käsefüllung). Bei meinem Aufenthalt in Buenos Aires bin ich fast jeden Abend hier gewesen und ich war immer sehr zufrieden!
Es kommen auch viele Stammkunden aus der Nachbarschaft, die das Essen und die Belegschaft lieben. Ich denke dies sagt alles. Ich gebe 10/10 Punkte!

We had a mixed grill to share with 2. Some cuts were good, some of them not too much. We liked the chicken and the sausage, but the lamb was way too fatty. The service was slow.
Words can't express how great this place is. The staff is super friendly, and the food.... mamma mia....I come here often ans this is the first time I review this place..and wouldn't change it with any other place especially in the Palermo area... grande ragazzi :)

Came here Tuesday afternoon with my gf and had an excellent meal of pasta. it was delicious and filling. The service was excellent and the vibe was cozy. The music wasn't too loud.
Jimmy was a wonderful waiter very attentive, the food was amazing the service was wonderful I highly recommend this place.
Been here quite a few times. The food is always great both for dine in or a quick take away. Pricing is awesome and their empanadas are really good.
Jimy's attention was great, if you ever came, ask for him! The food and atmosphere was great too! It's a perfect place for hang out with friends or to have a date, I highly recommend and I know I'll be back soon.
My husband and I had delicious meals at Don Benito, including lomo saltado. The food was made to perfection and the atmosphere and service from Antonella matched. Highly recommend this restaurant!

To be honest, I don’t think I will come back. The meat was nicely cooked but nothing special or gives us the wow factor, we had better meal elsewhere. The wine is good and the waiter we had was friendly and professional, explained well. It is not an expensive dinner, good value for money but definitely not worth the wait.

The steak and wine was the best we have had! Our waiter Jimmy advised us on what to order and he did very well! The food and wine was divine, the service was also 10/10. The only feedback we would give would be to allow tips through card as we couldn’t give Jimmy the tip he deserved as we had very little cash on us! We will be back !!

Worth the wait! Reservations open up twelve weeks in advance and fill up almost immediately, but it's worth having a reservation to ensure a table. The service was prompt, and all of the food was 10/10...Quite literally the best steak we have ever had!

I came into Don Julio with mild expectations because I didn’t want to be disappointed if I were to have followed the rave reviews and restaurant rankings.
I wouldn’t say I was disappointed in my experience, but I didn’t love it. The food was good, there’s no doubt about that. However, the price does not match the quality. I’ve been to quite a few other restaurants just in Palermo that have given the same or better quality food at much lower prices. But still, the food at Don Julio was good.
What made me not love my experience was mainly the service and atmosphere. My service was bumpy in the beginning with a 15 minute delay on receiving water, 10 minutes for a wine menu, etc.. And when the time came to order food, a new waiter came to my table and said nothing… he just stood there until I began asking if I could order with him. It was odd, but not unfriendly by any means. When it came to paying, after I paid with card, the waiter also asked for a 5.000 tip right there, which was odd to me. I had no problem giving that much of a tip, but the way it was brought up was odd and unprofessional in my opinion.
Lastly, the outdoor seating at Don Julio was not comfortable to me. It was cold with a slight breeze and their heaters tried, but did not mitigate the cold.
I didn’t hate my experience, but I didn’t love my experience. I wouldn’t return, and I wouldn’t recommend to a friend.

HOW TO GET A TABLE: 1) Book 3-4 months in advance, or a lot more, for indoor seating. 2) If you don't have a reservation, here's what you need to do... Aim for getting a lunch table, it's much easier, especially during the week. Show up around 10:30-11:00 AM and wait in a line (the earlier the better). They will start taking names down around 11ish for outdoor seating. We were there at 11:10, got a table for 1:30 PM and you have to check in 30 minutes ahead of time. We showed up at 1:05 and we seated in 10 minutes, *on a Tuesday*. Trying to get a table for dinner is harder. They don't start the waitlist until after lunch, but it's not clear what time they start it, so you might need to try around 4 pm? We tried to get on the waitlist at 5:30 pm on a Monday and the first open table was at 10:45 pm. So, dinner is a lot trickier to get.
Now you have a table, so how is it? The service was top notch, the waiters are very attentive and knowledgeable, working well as a team. The menu has a lot of interesting options. The prices are the highest in Buenos Aires and our meal was about $55 USD per person (wine, shared apps, steaks, sides, shared desserts). The steaks were big and delicious, my second favorite in BA (behind the bife de lomo at Fervor). The mashed sweet potato side was delicious, as were all the desserts. Authentic Argentinean grill house with meats that are grilled to perfection. We happened upon this place and we're really glad we did!
Best steakhouse and best steak in my life. Yes it was pricy comparing to other places and options in Argentina. And especially in the country where everyone has parrilla (grill station) at home, paying usd 80 for a steak seems to be a little over the top.
I have tried many top notch steakhouses in many countries as well as Argentinian style steakhouse in my home country. Still I love the way my meats were cooked here at Don Julio. The juice and texture were incredible.

Simply incredible, in all ways imaginable - meat, veggies, atmosphere, service - impeccable.
You don’t need a reservation, just go there and ask them to put you on the waiting list. It will be a few hours, so just do something else while you wait. It’s worth it.

Don Julio is excellent. The quality of the ingredients is clearly extraordinary, and they have a great selection of cuts that other parrillas don't offer. They also have a great selection of wines and the desserts (don't miss the Dulce de leche ice cream..) are mindboggling. But it might be more expensive than it's worth. There are other parrillas in Buenos Aires (Cabrera) that are unbelievable as well. And just because it seems inexpensive compared to a Keens (NYC), does not mean that the pricing is justified. But it is certainly a very well managed Machine. Kudos

So how was it? Firstly. The service there is second to none. Very accommodating. Very nice. Very professional. The food was great. The wine was great the experience was great. Highly recommend. 🥩
Don Julio does not disappoint. We had a reservation and still waited about 35 mins to be seated. The meat is fantastic and very worth the wait. The place is LOUD. Parking is nearly impossible, best by cab. Food- fantastic. Service could be better. Definitely not 5 star but the good is.
For me, it is overrated but maybe the price makes this place rank so high at 101 best steakhouse. For less than 100 dollars you can eat and drink witch is cheap compared to los angeles. Also the Server asked me for tip and i got disappointed. Just charge the tip on bill do not ask while paying.

I haven’t finished desert but I’m all to eager to write about our delicious meals & great experience. Lamb ribs are delicious (portion was extremely big for me) , Ravioli- kitchen special was unique (fried ravioli - my partner never had that before), Tiramisu was delicious and so too was the nero chocolate ice-cream. Great service. Buzzing place - nice music and people around having a great time. Oh we had been given ‘Toast’ Wow - I understand the experience now. Dinner was certainly well priced and value for money.
I enjoy good food and this is some of the best. Everything we ordered was amazing and the service is also great. Considering the quality i also think the price is a good value. This restaurant is a must if you are in the area and wanting an excellent meal.
We stopped by this restaurant by a chance when it was rainy outside. It was probably the best Argentinian steak experience we had in Buenos Aires. The place is chic and cozy at the same time. Staff is super kind and friendly. We were going to go for tango dances later so we didn’t want to eat until filling our stomach too much. They understood us and offered half portions and created a tasty and light table. We had ojo de bife and bife de chorizo, they were cooked just as I wanted 3/4. Very delicious and juicy. Provolone was amazing. The wine suit perfectly with all. We paid 11.000pesos for all. I highly recommend this place.

Went there for a quick dinner. Ordered bide the chorizo. I got a piece of meat that was basically unbeatable. This is what was left, because I couldn't eat it. Probably my worst parilla experience ever. Avoid this place at any cost.
This restaurant was awesome and the service was spectacular. Jimi our server provided us with excellent recommendations and service. Definitely want to check them out of you are in the Palermo Hollywood district of Buenos Aires, Argentina and looking for a great place to eat.
A friend who's a regular brought me here. It doesn't look like much but it's really popular with the locals. Meat, meat and more meat. Family style. I'm not even sure what we had but it was all good. Simple menu and simple presentation. Four meat courses, bottle of the most expensive wine, Coke and water was about $6000. Good service. My only complaint was the wine was warm but they gave me ice to cool it down

worst meat i've had in b. a. and the us, for that matter. it was like rubber to chew, no flavor to speak of,...absolutely awful! their spanish potatoes were soaked in oil, didn't eat many of them either. a low-class spot that's taking advantage of its location, stay away if u like yourself!

We are only in the city for a month and are trying as many parillas as possible. We really enjoyed this place. It’s not as fancy but the service was better then any. We enjoyed the food and wine. The vibe was laid back and not pretentious. The price was fair and the staff was awesome. Thanks
Excellent service, delicious meal! Ask the waiter for recommendations, they’ll help you to the best match in meat for your party. I had the entraña with grilled vegetables, good portion for 2 people. Got complimentary glasses of champagne and bread basket with sauces — try the eggplant one, it’s delicious! (The green one in the picture)
The difference between places like Don Julio and La Cabrera and this place is the former spend their money on marketing and hype while Parillo Voro Carnes spends their money on a amazing customer experience. It's not even close, this place is far superior to the Argentina steak houses on the top 50 list. Food was excellent. I appreciated the complimentary champagne and orange version of limecello. Also, this was one of the few places i have been to in buenos aires where the bread was actually decent. The 4 side dishes (eggplant, course salt, chimichurri, and 1 other item that I forgot name) were excellent. Only flaw was that the empanadas I ordered was fried, I personally don't like fried empanadas but I appreciated that this was clearly high quality. Hands down the best parilla/steakhouse I have been to in Argentina (and I have been to all the ones in the top 50 on trip advisor, Google and Latin America top 50 list)
Last night we ordered bondiola, some fries, and a flan to go. Everything was delicious! We'll definitely be returning for more!

Simply amazing! This is exactly the type of meal I was hoping for when I came to Argentina. Meat cooked to perfection and some of the best potatoes ever!!! Even the salad was amazing with a huge helping of cheese on top. Service was great and we just loved it. Turned out to be one of the best meals we had on our entire trip - and not even expensive!

Amazing casual spot, very rare glimpse into a proper parilla spot. Ate here 6 times in my two weeks. Probably not the best date spot but the food is amazing and affordable.

Half bife de lomo, chorizo, fries, beer for less than 10 dollars. Home made chimi churry for that extra flavour. Delicious and homy, great service with a smile while don Niceto rocks at the grill!

WOW!!! I think we've been to over 20 parillas during our time in Buenos Aires, but Don Niceto beats them all! Low-key setting but the carne is perfect, the provoleta is both crunchy on the outside and gooey on the inside, and the fries were amazing. Prices are cheap. Service is great! I only wish they had been open during the holidays so we could have gone more than once ( they close down from mid December through early January).
What's good fam, it's your boy Christopher back at it again with the white vans. Came here with a friend. Nice set up very local feel. Meat was very good and service was fast. Definitely recommend this place. Bring those pesos though as they don't accept card. Peace in piece ✌🏾
