Easy and leisurely walk through the woods.

A nice walk along the river, flat trail goes into wooded area, fields, rocky spots here and there. Some large crusher run stones in some spots. Good for families with young kids.
Gave 4 out of 5 due to the trash. A little disturbing and disgusting. How about the DNR, local or state gov. place a fricking dumpster on the premises for the idiots who dump trash. Don't people understand that places like this can be shut down if we do not keep them clean? Beer bottles galore, prepared food left in foil trays, and actual bags of trash. Or better yet send the inmates in to clean up the place and then put some security cameras up at the entrance. Sorry about that rant. Have fun and enjoy the wild.

Nice location for a quick walk with the family. Small parking area with more than a 1000 acres to explore. We found this area while showing houses in Harpers Ferry will go back to explore more

Everything is great until the hunting. If you are thinking about hunting just be careful. Hunters get harassed by the locals during the season. People shoot deer and just leave them in the woods. I found 5 this year. There was at least 2 fights and I promise you will have bullets wiz by you. The Game Warden would rather search people and cars instead of doing his damn job dealing with wildlife. To the locals that harassed everyone get some ethics and stop being trashy rednecks. Damn idiots

This is an awesome place!!! Just don't try and get a parking spot on the weekends in the summer.....TONS of water sport folks

Very peaceful area to go hiking. The parking lot goes right up to the river and has a small boat launch at the end of it. Didn't see any displays about the trails so recommend using alltrails app, it really helped us when we had to double back once. The trails are mowed and fairly even throughout. Saw a couple of hunters heading in and out, so be mindful of your little ones and recommend wearing bright colors if you're hiking during hunting season.

We stopped here during our aqua blaze section of our Appalachian Trail thru hike. It had a concrete boat ramp and was within walking distance of a country store where we resupplied. No onsite camping tho.

Love this place. Wish people wouldn't treat it so bad with litter and graffiti.
