I can't believe how long it took me to take a class at Extend - I had heard about it when I moved to the area, but I dragged my feet. I had a magical class with morning with Stephanie. From the moment I walked into the studio, Arlet was there to sign me in and she made me feel so welcomed. Then, Stephanie taught the most fulfilling class I have taken in recent memory. I encourage any yogi of any level to take a class at Extend Yoga. It was dreamy, lovely and special.

The community and team that Susan has built is something truly remarkable! It’s wonderful to always be practicing next to new friends. The varied class offerings are perfect for new yogis hoping to try something different, or for experienced yogis who want a strong, mindful, well-rounded practice. Thrive is an absolute treasure and asset to Montgomery County!

I’ve been going to Thrive for a few years and I absolutely love it. It’s a woman owned business built from the ground up. The space is gorgeous with a stone hallway, a waterfall and beautiful murals painted by the owners daughter. It’s a little oasis in the middle of busy rockville. I appreciate the variety of classes and teachers. Kris, Ashira, Daniele, Katie & Meg are some of my favorite teachers and I thoroughly enjoy all of their classes. The staff is super friendly and welcoming. The new student special gives you the opportunity to try as many classes you want and figure out what you like. Thrive is a safe space and I always feel at peace there. Thank you Thrive for creating space that is crucial to my physical and spiritual wellbeing!!!

Extend Yoga is such a peaceful studio. It is so calming and feels like an escape. Sy is an amazing teacher and I have really enjoyed their classes.

ExtendYoga is the best studio I have experienced in the DMV.
The owner, staff, teachers and community are so kind and welcoming and will instantly make your feel at home. The diversity of classes and teachers is outstanding - the schedule is robust with beginner, intermediate and advanced friendly offerings (in studio and remote). Extend also offers frequent workshops and community events and rotating local art adorning the beautiful space. I could go on and on - but just give it a try - you will love it!

Such a wonderful studio!! Everyone is so friendly and nice. The instructors are very helpful during class and give great feedback for improvement. The facility is very clean and peaceful and I always felt happy just walking in. I tried a variety of the classes and loved all of them. It really feels like a friendly community to be a part of too! Unfortunately I moved a little further away so unable to continue with this studio but I highly recommend to anyone whether beginner or advanced!

I’ve tried so many yoga studios, but Thrive is truly a serene gem! From the moment I walked in, I felt enveloped in a calm and peaceful atmosphere. So far all the instructors seem super knowledgeable and attentive, making sure each session fits everyone’s needs—no matter your experience level.

What I love about Thrive is how they focus on the whole person, nurturing not just the body but also the mind and spirit. There’s such a great variety of classes to explore, and the community here is so welcoming and supportive.

I found this studio this summer and it was a true gift 💗 The front desk staff (Meg) was immediately so welcoming on my first time and throughout my time there. The studio itself is so gorgeous and peaceful. They designed it with beautiful details, one part like you’re walking in a forest river bed. The studio rooms have big bright windows but also hidden from street video so it’s private.
The instructors were all amazing, kind people who provide gentle feedback. They offer many different types of classes at convenient times for a working person. The class sizes are usually large but not overcrowded for the room size. The pricing of the studio is unbelievable for all of these benefits. I couldn’t believe how reasonable it was in such an expensive place as Rockville. Oh and parking…never a problem. It’s located in a quiet strip mall that is easy to access off of Rockville Pike.
No questions asked, one of my favorite finds in Rockville and most beautiful yoga studios I have ever been to. Thank you Thrive 🙏🏻

This yoga studio is outstanding. I get joy from going to a workplace, any workplace, where you see someone who loves what they do. That’s why I have a favorite local barber, barista, restaurant server, and bike shop tech. Extend yoga is the rare place that’s full of people who love what they do. And their attention to detail is fantastic. They’re such an asset to the neighborhood and I’m lucky to be around the corner from them.

The Sound Immersion training at Thrive Yoga is amazing! I can’t say enough good things about it. I wish I could give more than 5 stars. The training is affordable, gentle, fun, and inspiring. At no point did it feel sales-y or high pressured, and the experience itself is so uplifting. Highly recommend!

extendYoga is a great studio. It’s a friendly and well-set up space, with great instructors. I love vinyasa flows with Sarah or Nick. Everyone is very kind and supportive, and classes are invigorating and fun!

My mother started attending extendYoga about two years ago and it’s always a pleasure joining her for classes while I’m in town. Every class I’ve been to has been excellent and challenging in it’s own way. Each of the instructors has a unique teaching style—however I always feel encouraged to push myself while having fun and being in tune with my body. I wish I was local so I could go regularly!

The Thrive Summer Blast 200 hour yoga teacher training is one of the most empowering experiences I have had in my life. My fellow trainees were a diverse & wonderful group of people! The program was professional, well structured and taught. All of the instructors have an amazing scope of knowledge and experience teaching yoga. They were encouraging every step of the way, and helped each student gain the confidence we need to teach yoga. The owner, Susan, is phenomenal and leads the training. With Thrive, she has created more than a yoga space. The studio is a beautiful community, and a beacon of light for wellness and healing, which is so desperately needed in our world. I am proud to be a part of it.

I love this studio! I am very new to yoga and have never gone to a studio more than once. However, this space is wonderful. The staff is very welcoming, the instructors are very kind and offer great modifications for beginners or those simply needing to adjust their practice. I love how they really seem to embody equity and inclusion in their studio as they offer free or reduced price classes to those in the community. I am very happy here, and will continue attending. I am looking at some of their class packages now :)

Thrive Yoga is the best yoga studio, I couldn’t not recommend it enough ! I’ve been a member since late 2022 and found a beautiful yogi community there. The studio has a wide range of classes for everyone. I found the space to be healing, safe and clean. I also went on a yoga retreat organized by Susan (highly recommend). I was so inspired that I chose to participate in the 2023 fall 200hr Yoga Teacher Training. The training was so well designed and I now feel confident and knowledgeable to teach my own yoga class. Thrive studio is life changing!

I signed up for the 7 day free trial and ended up going every single day out of pure enjoyment! This place is amazing! The instructors are wonderful and talented. Looking forward to becoming a member.

I’ve been going to this place for a bit now I can tell you all that it’s such a wonderful environment. Everyone is so kind, attentive and considerate. I’ve personally never taken a class before but my friends have told me that the coaches are amazing. Unfortunately as I am moving I will no longer be able to attend but Daniel at the front, super kind and patient, even helped me cancel my membership when I wasn’t able to access it. Highly recommend for anyone of any age!

Pretty cool gym. Decent boulder setting so far, nice lead walls and even has a range of single pitch permanent crack problems.

At $248/month for a family of four, which doesn't include equipment rental fees, a membership at Movement is expensive and really only grants you access to climbing. You still have to pay for climbing instruction. The cardio/weight room is small and inadequately equipped. The fitness classes are few and far between. All in all, there isn't enough value here to justify a membership.

Wonder place for family and friends with climbing for all levels and friendly staff.

I was at a class this evening at the Rockville studio and was a victim of theft. All seemed normal leading up to class. Keep in mind there is no front desk associate ever present (the coach checks attendees in), so during the class, the individual was able to rummage through not only my things but also someone else’s. 4 cards (debit and credit) and $6,000 later, I was getting fraud alerts and calls from my husband. Not worried so much about the money, but fact that my peace of mind is gone. They need to figure out 2 things. 1. How to improve security 2. How to vet out attendees that do not clearly belong. The coach was nice about it, but didn’t really do much (again emphasis on the fact that they need to improve their security or procedures). I was trying to get out as fast I could feeling so uncomfortable. Absolutely ridiculous. I now am and forever will be so uncomfortable about this place. Will never be back.

Would give this 0 stars if I could. My wife’s locker (and another person’s) was robbed and we didn’t get so much as a sorry from CorePower. The front desk couldn’t have cared less. Disgraceful

As of now, this is my favorite climbing gym in Maryland. They have a lot of good climbing services that give a good collection of challenges for all types of climbers. The route setting is amazing. The 5.11s felt accurate for indoor climbing levels. There are many routes set up, so you will never run out of climbs.

If you can climb a ladder, you can start to rock climb here!
Favorite climbing gym. Great top-rope routes and lead climbing and bouldering PLUS a workout area and fun grip strengthening options. The routes are changed regularly. The atmosphere is incredibly welcoming. Staff members are so supportive, kind, and knowledgable. Our fellow climbers are a lovely chill bunch of people. Every time I come I have a great experience. The energy here is fantastic and the climbing is top-notch.

Our family had a book-a-climb today. Basically a coach will help you put on the harness and guide you to different rock climbing sites. Brian was a very good coach. He accompanied us the whole time, patient, and focused, and made sure we were safe and had fun. Overall a very good experience!

Great experiences climbing here! The staff is great, the vibe is chill, and facility is clean. It is safe and people are courteous. There are a variety of different climbing paths for different skill levels. The bouldering is fun as well. It's not the largest climbing gym in the area, but definitely offers a great space and nice facilities.
