Used to be a lovely place to walk etc, now it’s a complete dump. The grass is not cut and for hay fever sufferers it’s a nightmare. South Lanarkshire Council are using a ludicrous reasoning for refusing to cut the grass…..to stop the geese going onto Stewartfield Way….it doesn’t work SLC, geese have wings and fly anywhere they wish to go….catch a grip and just cut the grass…we pay enough in council tax 😡

Lovely and charming
Nice place for tea and cakes too.

I love this park, yachting, canoeing etc and all the wildlife and plants. Lots of beautiful photo opportunities.

Lovely man made pond/ lake with flat walking for elderly around the pond walk is approx 1.2 km. There are pedal boats and a mysterious tree obscured 18th century castle where , we were informed , visitors are not welcome as there is a family residing there.😳Looking at the place, could be The Addams Family😱.14 mins drive from Glasgow via Rutherglen & Burnside. Good for a Quick jaunt.

Nice and peaceful nice people away from your usual scumbag kind off ppl tbh...

Nice flat walking path around the loch with lots of geese and ducks to feed. 2 play parks for kids and a cafe for refreshments. The watersports centre was closed but offers activities such as bumper boats and pedalos during the summer months.

Nice gentle walk. 1.2km around the water. Almost completely flat and smoothly paved. Lots of benches around for resting. Would be a good place for someone working on mobility, or if they are a wheelchair user. Walking path in close proximity to blue badge parking bays. Seems very accessible.

Chilled out area to enjoy a stroll. Not a taxing walk, all on the level so can be enjoyed by everyone. Suitable for prams, wheelchair users, small children on bikes, walking and joggers. Café on site although closed when visiting today at around 9am. Enough parking, installed EV charging points on site. Lots of benches surrounding water. Opportunities to get up close to the ducks, geese and swans. Liked the wishing well provided by the East Kilbride Rotary club.
