Lovely, interesting, friendly, passionate and genuinely professional staff. Drew and Chris encouraged all the Youth in the group to take part in all activities in a nice gentle and supportive way. We were supplied with waterproofs, safety jackets and helmets. We all thoroughly enjoyed it and would highly recommend it. The day was very organised, safety equipment was a massive bonus to encourage the group to take part in all activities. Fun, fun and fun waiting for you if you decide to go for this activity.
The activity offered exceptionally good value for money. We went as a group of 18 and could not recommend it highly enough.

I spent a wonderfully couple of hours with both my own, and my sisters young families exploring the beautiful peak district from the perspective of a stream on a gorge scrambling tour hosted by Acclimbatize. Stunning surrounding with plenty of exciting obstacles and challenges to overcome if you are game. Very experienced and knowledgeable guide was very friendly and professional. Mount Cook came to my work place bringing along all equipment, activities and staff required, they were absolutely phenomenal! A group of 6 of us went and explored. 2 caves around the peak district and our instructor Chris was amazing taking us all out of our comfort zone and given us the best weekend we could've asked for going into the caves and exploring was great even if there was a few squeezers here and there enjoyed every minute would highly recommend.

Went to teamplay outdoor activities for a hen do doing, archery, axe throwing and assault course and what a fantastic time we had, we were laughing from start to finish, with everyone saying how much they loved it and would do it again. Big thankyou to both Andy's who were such a laugh but also made sure everyone was safe. Would definitely recommend for a big or small group.

Just got back from a week there, staying in one of the pods. Weather was fantastic which made it more enjoyable. Food was great and plenty of it! Activities were brilliant (good for us, as we were a small group, so had more time on each activity rather than being in a larger group and maybe just getting to do something once) big shout out to the instructors who explained properly on how to do things and helped when things went wrong (like getting stuck 🤣) favourite activities hands down was the via ferrata and the scramble to black rock. Only thing is there is no electric points in the pods (there is usb charging ports though) but I suppose it's teaching the kids about going back to basics. Met some great people (gutted to say some which we will never see again 😢) Would I go back?? Absolutely

Phenomenal, We attended family fun day on July 27th where these guys had their set up. The staff, facility, safety everything was spot-on and I couldn’t have been more impressed with the staff members rapport with all of the children. I hope to use you in the future! Amazing!

I recently took part in a full day of vertical caving. Chris, our main guide, and Aaron, who was building experience towards being a group leader, were both friendly, knowledgeable and passionate about caving.

They explained the geology of the two caves we went down and how people have used them in the past. This gave me a deeper appreciation of the unique environment, which I felt rounded out the day.

The experience lasted the full day (09:15-17:00) and consisted of going down two caves, each of which had its own character and feel. Both of the caves were superb choices as it was my first time caving. The first cave offered an appreciable amount of rope work and the second cave offered a chance for crawling and squeezing. Each cave was a good challenge, but was perfectly suitable for beginners.

The entire day offered exceptionally good value for money. I went as part of a group of two and we were surprised when Chris informed us we were the only ones. Considering both of us thoroughly enjoyed it, the skills and knowledge demonstrated by Chris and Aaron, the excellent choices of caves and the fact that the experience lasts the full day, I am still utterly blown away.

My sisters & I recently took part in a canoeing morning, in Matlock. We were supplied with waterproofs, safety jackets and helmets and a good safety talk and lesson in how to control the canoe. Luckily for us the British weather didn’t let us down & the sun came out! We had a superb time with our guide Sheldon, navigating relaxing waterways and a few rapids. A personal thank you to you Sheldon for making our morning so special and for all the videos. I would highly recommend booking a trip with these guys.

My daughter went on a school trip for her last year in primary school. She said the pods were amazing (even though her pod didn't lock and she was moved to the indoor rooms). The zip wire was incredible, and the view was super scenic, but the jolt at the end is something to look out for! Food was great, dairy free options were made for her and some other allergenic people. The staff were very kind and Catherine was her instructor! An amazing experience for her. Thank you very much!!!

Our registered charity took a group of asylum seekers / refugees for a multi-activity day which proved to be most enjoyable. The nature of the activities and challenges were well matched to the group's abilities; the quality of facilitation and instruction excellent; and attention to safety overriding. Thank you Daz and Chas for your expert leadership and the way you communicated, supported and taught members of our diverse group both technical and teamwork skills!
We hope to return with another group soon!

We spent an afternoon canoeing and a morning abseiling with Chris and we had the best time. Kids absolutely love it. Chris was an excellent teacher, patient and such a lovely guy who made everyone feel comfortable and grow in confidence while we attemped to try something new. Would highly recommend!

Came here about 2 years ago with school and I had a great time with my friends. There are so many activities to choose from, the food was ok, and the rooms where a bit small but warm. My friend said that this was the best place in the UK. I would say it's a great place to stay but I would recommend booking a large room. (not shure if they have any) That's all from me and have a lovely day.

Fantastic day out for my Brother's stag do! The weather was a big help, but Andy was a great host, and made sure there was plenty of variation in the activities and not too much waiting around!

Even if the weather is fair, TAKE SPARE CLOTHES - the assault course is not your typical kiddies playground adventure!!

Great morning on the Derwent River with Chris and Barney the dog. He was a superb instructor, very calm and patient and we confidently handled the canoe on a few small rapids. Would definitely do this again! Thanks Chris :)

Fabulous time for a hen do! The Andy’s were amazing. Informative and funny and encouraged us all to have a go and improve our skills! Would definitely recommend to any ability!

Excellent company, with a super friendly guide, who looked after us well, improved our skills & also is accompanied by a lovely dog.
Perfect route on the river for beginners or those who want to canoe again.

We had an absolutely fab day! Hen Do of 19 people all completing the axe throwing, archery and assault course! Along with cooking food and making amazing memories! Both Andy’s where amazing and really made it an amazing day!

Fantastic! Had my 10 year old son's birthday party with Chris at Peaks and Paddles. Non of the boys had abseiled before. Chris was amazing, they all went down again and again and want to go back for more. Really good price, cheaper than most parties and gets kids outside, out of their comfort zones. Great for self confidence! A quote from one "this is better than Alton Towers!" Thank you Chris, awesome day 😎

10/10 experience, and 11/10 for his dog Barney. He didn’t help much but was a very good boy.

Absolutely wonderful canoeing experience with our 7 year old son. It was a lot of hard work trying to keep the canoe straight and not tip over as we did the 'shoot the duck' or 'duck under the bridge' challenges. Barney (the dog) was the star of the show! Chris is an amazing trainer - patient and a great sense of humour! Pointing out to wildlife as we paddled along the canal. Thank you Chris and Barney - we will be back soon, I am sure!

Teamplay Outdoor Activities ran an archery and axe throwing session for my mum's 60th birthday. Andy was great in running through the required safety parts of the session and then helping us all feel comfortable to use the equipment. We had a blast and would recommend people to look at booking their own adventure day!

Our group of 11 had a fantastic morning with Chris, learning how to canoe. He was very patient with our varying needs, and expertly managed to get us all paddling straight within a very short time. Some of us were even confident enough to play some games, which included swapping boats.

Chris is a really great teacher and some of his passion for canoeing has inspired some of us to start looking to take up canoeing.

Forgot to mention Barney, who is the star of the show!

We spent a morning in the beautiful woodland location to celebrate my daughters 11th birthday. They had a wonderful time completing archery, building and lighting the fire and the obstacle course. Andy hosted the party so well and engaged the children in the activities. He had thought of everything, providing me with cooking utensils so that I could cook sausages and burgers on the fire for party food - a rewarding challenge. The children left happy and of course muddy! Connecting with each other and nature in an unspoilt tranquil setting. Communication with Andy was professional, timely and covered all safety requirements. Thank you once again Andy

Chris was an excellent guide leading us through the Snake Pass gorge. We had such a wonderful time making our way through the winding stream, navigating pools, scaling small waterfalls.

Chris was very knowledgeable about the area and was super friendly! He took many pictures for us and though we did run a little late he was very accommodating.

We, a family of 4 with 2 children aged 10 and 12, have just had a wonderful afternoon with Dave at Black Rocks, doing scrambling, weasling and rock climbing. Dave was funny, professional, enthusiastic and inspired confidence. He was great with both adults and kids alike. I wouldn't hesitate to book again. It was fantastic value for money and a highlight of our visit to the Peak District. Thank you Dave.

Andy was fantastic host and easy to deal with from start to finish. He tailored our activities to the group perfectly, and we had an amazing time. We did a camp cook out (fire making), axe throwing and archery. Everyone in the party of 9 had a brilliant time in the woodland location - we felt we were in an enchanted forest!

Had a fantastic morning abseiling with Dave. It was with me and my two children (aged 9 and 11) and he was brilliant with us. My youngest was a little nervous and Dave handled it just right with lots of reassurance, positivity but also got my son helping set things up to build his confidence. Great morning and would highly recommend.

We (family of 2 adults and 2 children aged 9 and 12) had a fantastic morning rock climbing with Dave. His style was great, brilliant at engaging the kids and he started us on some easy climbs to build confidence and then built up to longer climbs. Full 3 hours together, we and the kids loved it. We also felt completely safe in his company. This is the second time I’ve done stuff with Dave / Aspire Adventures as he ran an orienteering afternoon for my 30th as well, a good few years ago now. He charges less than some of the other companies we looked it and it felt great value for money - a complete professional and all round lovely guy.

We had a fantastic climbing session at Windgather Rocks with Dave and really couldn't have asked for anymore. We were complete beginners and Dave pitched it perfectly. The two of us were climbing within 15 minutes of arriving and always felt relaxed and safe with Dave guiding us up the climbs. We came out of the day feeling like we'd achieved something and that we'd had a really comprehensive introduction to rock climbing in the Peaks.

Had a another wonderful day with Dave at Stanage in the Peak District. Dave is really good at getting the best from his clients and ensuring that they have a happy and memorable day. He is caring and understanding and a very good judge of a person’s ability, aspirations and fears - whether it’s climbing, caving, abseiling or another activity. I trust him completely to look after all my family and ensure that we have a good time.

We had a great day with Dave for my daughter‘s 10th birthday party, abseiling over the Miller’s Dale viaduct. Dave was very professional but fun and his gentle encouragement and patience ensured everyone felt brave enough to have a go (again, again and again!) - even the most nervous children! All equipment was provided and a last minute change of activity due to the weather didn’t cause any problem or concern. I’d definitely recommend Aspire and Dave for any group adventure activity. We used Aspire Adventure recently as part of a family holiday to complete an abseil off Millers Dale viaduct. From the booking process through to the day Dave was an absolute star. Not only did he show complete professionalism and expertise throughout, he also made the morning fun and challenging for all (even the members of the family that were not abseiling). Overall a fantastic morning was had by all and I would highly recommend Dave and Aspire Adventure.

There are many adventure providers in the Peak District. There is only one Aspire Adventures. We would 100% recommend Dave to any youth group thinking about using his services. We have used Dave several times over the last few years. He is helpful, flexible and willing to 'go the extra mile'. He has an outstanding way of communicating with young people, provides excellent activities at very reasonable prices. What more could you ask for?
