Title: Enjoyable Visit to Gaithersburg Aquatic Center

Review:
My recent trip to the Gaithersburg Aquatic Center was quite enjoyable. The facility appeared clean and well-maintained, which is always a plus for any aquatic center. The pool varied in depth, starting from 3.5 feet and extending up to 12 feet, and 25 yards long making it suitable for both casual swimmers and those looking to dive. The presence of a diving board added an extra element of fun.

Although the main pool felt a bit small, it was compensated by the inclusion of a separate baby pool, catering to younger visitors. This makes the aquatic center a family-friendly destination, suitable for visitors of all ages. Overall, the Gaithersburg Aquatic Center provides a pleasant and clean environment for a refreshing swim or a relaxing day by the pool.
It’s attached to middle school.
What an Amazing Sr Center, I had the pleasure of taking my X- Mother In-law to visit her friends and bring them gift's, I was Honored! The place is very clean and the Sir are Happy, I'm so Grateful to be here with my X- Mother In-law
Older facility, but priced well and not too crowded usually
The theater is a small space but that works out really well for some shows.

If you want to be micro managed through cameras & given attitude for not cleaning up fast enough, this is the place. The workers throw trash at your feet expecting you to pick it up & take it to the dump. If all the chairs don’t fit on the chair rack (they didn’t have enough racks) they give you attitude. The kitchens are blowing hot air for no reason, and you CANNOT have alcohol unless you have a certified bartender (that they don’t offer). Do yourself a favor and don’t coke here if you want to plan a nice event. We had a baby shower here & the service was barely a 1 out of 10.
if I could give zero stars, I would. These two workers kept storming through our party, all up in our personal belongings, sticking out like a sore thumb. Every little inconvenience they thought they saw, they came storming into our party. We had our room rented until 11pm, it was 10:30 and these two workers came in touching our belongings and misplacing OUR stuff. Meanwhile we had 30 more min to clean, rushing us out of there. DO NOT book here unless you want random men storming into your party causing stress. Horrible employees.
Another intense and personal DiVerse poetry night. The Casey community center staff go out of their way to provide a positive and welcoming venue.
Always one of my favorite places to go.
Take 30 to 45 minutes to finish visiting this tiny museum. But it’s interesting and fun.
I was here for a quinceañera and this was a really great venue on top of being a wonderful community center. Each facility is well maintained and clean. I tried the water fountains which were cool and refreshing.
I will go plan is getting ready for swimming pool in lifeguard training class for CPR and AED.
Took my 8 year old son to see the trains. He had a blast checking out the caboose and passenger car. They have train oriented toys for the kids and some great information on the history of railroads and the stations impact on Gaithersburg. We were there long enough and at the right time to see a CSX freight train come by!
We had a lovely time! We will visit again and encourage others to do so.
Had to renew my pet license. $10/year. Rabies shots last for 3 years, so the City should allow a three year pet license renewal. It's a pain to have to bring proof of rabies shot every year.
It's a lovely little set of informational exhibits about some notable science and engineering history in the area. The passenger railcar has been converted to a small theater and the caboose interior has been turned into a kids' playroom. This is a working train station, as well, so visitors will have a chance to see interesting modern rail traffic passing by. It's free to visit, but please support them if you can. They're worth it. :)

Nice place! First time in here for a concert. Hidden charm!
This community center offers social activities as well as exercise groups. I started playing pickleball recently and the regulars easily introduce themselves and make you feel welcome.
For the price not bad... It is a good place to take my kids (8&4). The limited hours is a struggle but the space is clean and not terrible. The showers are open showers and fairly clean. It's an older building so it has old build vibes. It's a city facility it's not bad.
We went to a play (The Hollow) and had a wonderful time. Staff are helpful. This is a cozy spot for a date or a friend get together. It's nice to look at the art after the event.
We came as a school group and the staff was so kind and went well beyond to make sure the children had a good time. They made a craft for New Years and gave us a tour and story inside the train. They also pointed us to where the children can eat and use the bathroom. Thank you so much!Lovely small place to visit.
Called them about my SLUM-LORD and how they left us with no water or heat from Cristmas the 25th until Friday the 30th and haven't gotten a call back! OBVIOUSLY they don't give a s**t either!! Tha k City of Gaithersburg!
Bohrer Park Activity Center in Gaithersburg MD is a clean, well maintained, well staffed and well patroned rec center, offering the community an affordable fitness and recreational facility year round. It is situated on almost 60 acres of parkland, featuring Gaithersburg City's water park, a skate park and an open outdoor expanse with nearly a mile and a half of hiking/walking trails, ponds, picnic tables, a well-equipped playground and more.

Indoors, Bohrer has two full-size parquet floor gymnasiums with basketball and volleyball courts and a continual schedule of fitness-centric courses, classes and clubs. Additionally featured is a moderately sized exercise room, which includes a dozen StarTrac/Nautilus resistance training circuit machines, a full set of rubberized dumbbells up to 85 lbs. and a dozen cardio training machines, such as exercise bikes, treadmills and ellipticals. Facilities are open seven days a week with somewhat reduced weekend hours. Being a city property, Borhrer Park entrance fees, memberships and activity passes are significantly less expensive than typical privately owned facilities.
On the first Thursday of every month there is the Diverse Poetry Open mic. Well worth attending. Plus it is free.
Bohrer Park is a lovely place to visit for a walk or a picnic. I volunteered here a couple of weeks ago. I love the train-themed decor!
This tiny place was a good place to take my 5 yr old. He loved that he got to dress up and play with the toys they had in one of the trains. We had hoped that other other one was open but it wasnt. I wish there was more to enjoy tho. But it was great.
This was a wonderful experience for kids! Reservations are not required and entry is free. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They explained almost everything is available to play with, but my children enjoyed playing in the caboose with the toy trains and dress up clothes best. I had young kids so we didn't participate in some of the activities, but I heard other kids mentioning a scavenger hunt that you can do here. We also really enjoyed watching the active train drive by! We will definitely come back again!
Super-popular swim classes that fill to capacity quickly. Gotta be the early bird, for sure. Instructors are really patient and kind, students come from good families in the Gaithersburg community.
Place is nice but the service sucks. I called the guy in that place many times, giving him the date I wanted, yet he kept giving me different dates. Either he can’t hear well, or he doesn’t understand dates. It really upset me. It would have been nice to have someone who understood the dates I wanted.
We went in to get an expedited passport for an upcoming wedding. Sheila was absolutely marvelous from the initial phone call for an appointment through the final signatures at the office. Highly recommend this location, no long lines.
BGC is an excellent place for seniors above 55+. They are open after pandemic. Exercises and one day trips I enjoy.
Absolutely impossible to reserve a lap lane. People reserve lanes then don't show up so the pool is almost always empty and the website shows all lanes reserved. Contacted pool manager about this. Something must be done.
VERY DISRESPECTFUL PEOPLE. Sheila Oliver & Gretchen wyrick AKA KARENS think they can have a rude tone with me in font of my daughter. Making us wait outside for 15 min in a 90 degree weather and as soon as I go in they don't even wanna help me.
Great view and area for children to play. Also great for picnics or family gatherings

I always use them for passport services. They are straightforward, easy to deal with, have excellent customer service, and reasonable fees. If you need your passport paperwork processed I highly recommend coming here.
Took flu shots today at AC at Bohrer Park. The people are so courteous, and helpful. The process is so streamlined and quick. The station is a little hidden from the view and the sign is easy to miss.
Contrary to a previous review, there is usually plenty of parking and the parking spaces themselves are quite spacious. The city goes lots of great employees that work for the department of parks/rec/culture at the activity center. Great culture! Fitness center, activity rooms, basketball gyms, skate park, water park, putt-putt, play structure and lots of open space make this an excellent part of the city.

Dealing with Montgomery county is much more easier than Gaithersburg city Hall. Bunch of dictators
A very good and well maintained community service. Just went in to look for party halls to have a birthday party. They have around 7 party halls and a dance place. Starting from big hall to small call which can accommodate from huge number to small number.

This community center includes dance classes and kids learning classes at different occasions. You can just check with them for their schedules.

Only disadvantage is for the small party halls the entrance is too small and one party hall doesn’t have the restroom near by. Apart from that every hall is very good.
I love the fitness center! It’s got all the equipment you’d want, it’s always super clean. Their building services department does an awesome job of keeping the facilities clean and well maintained. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and responsive to any needs or inquiries. The art exhibits are an added delight. I look forward to enjoying them on my way in. I’ve been going here for years and wouldn’t even consider going elsewhere.
A lot of effort seems to have gone into revitalizing this museum and the immediate area around it. It is nice, especially if you like railroads and some history. However, this is a 30-45 minutes stop at most and the area about a block away in any direction from the museum feels a bit rough. We went on a Saturday afternoon and by 5:00 everything was empty and there was almost no one around. Would not recommend going or staying after the museum closes as we did not feel entirely safe. During opening hours it looks ok m, but only for a short stop.
Great pool for kids to learn to swim. Not crowded on the weekends, cheap entrance fee. Nothing fancy (no slides or stuff like that). Very clean.

I went to see the Heathers musical at this location and had a great time. The staff was very friendly and there was quite a bit of parking around the building (try to get there a little earlier for the best spots). I took off one star for the loud air conditioning system that took a little away from immersion. During intermission, there were quite a few art pieces to view at varying levels of affordability. I'll definitely return again, and might even purchase some art.
My favorite thing about this place is the art exhibits they have all the time. For Halloween they set up an “Altar de los Muertos” at the entrance, which was a great way to teach and learn about this Mexican costume. Another time they had several pieces from Latino artists in the community. The center offers several sports programs, workshops, fitness clases, etc.
Very good, I enjoyed the performance tonight!
The Arts Barn is a fun, funky place. The former stable to Kentlands Mansion, it now houses a gallery, teaching studios, a 99-seat theater and a resident artists studio. Programming from kids through adults in everything. Friendly people!
The Gaithersburg Arts Barn is located in Kentlands MD. It is a lovely facility used by the community for social activities such as Weddings, Plays and seasonal activities. Art and Drama classes are taught in the summer for elementary and middle School children. Often Art shows of local artists are held here. It is a neat place to visit.
The Community Museum has some much to offer in the middle of historic Gaithersburg. The museum had an interactive play space where kids and adults can relive selling train tickets or sending telegrams, or do a scavenger hunt and win prizes. The caboose is converted into a playroom with wooden trains for the younger kids (and dads). There is a Budd car converted into Museum space that is perfect for watching the MARC and cargo trains go by without the noise.
Because I can swim all round the year as it is indoors and is well maintained. But the only major shortcoming is the water in the showers which is scalding hot, impossible to take a bath. I have to go home in my wet costume in order to take a proper bath with soap and or shampoo.
Great, friendly atmosphere. Lots of trips, classes, and activities. Come for a visit. Then join the fun.
My child and I both loved it here!!! I had a baby that needed to nap after lunch, so the time from 9-11:30 was perfect for us 3x a week. My daughter made great friends, learned tons of songs, her planets, days of the week etc...It seems low key but the teachers Mrs. Chris and Mrs. Marcia were great! The toys and crafts and learning were impressive. Outside playground on site, indoor gym play for cold/rainy days. Fantastic price and I've already recommended this to other friends who have kids currently signed up. My baby can't wait to go here. So worth it. It helps your kid learn social skills, manners, it was really such a great pick.
