Been a customer for so long, used to have good service (man staff mostly really helpful, shame I don't know his name)

but today 29/2 was so funny, the staffs are new or maybe just transferred as we never see them before (3 new girls),

First, we were confused for looking a particular item and she clearly saw us but then we were about to ask, she pretended not to have a look at us, this is a new staff as we haven't seen her before, usually the staffs are always helpful, when we look confused, they will help you and ask if we were okay.

Second, we asked for bamboo tooth picks, they said at the back, but then long story short, one staff showed us a dental floss nearly, which is not we were looking but still appreciate her effort, but then we stated again that we were looking for bamboo tooth picks not dental floss.

She laughed and said it's not available and advised to find at chemist warehouse 😆,

but then we saw the bamboo toothpicks were literally just behind her and ofc we quickly grabbed that.

If they don't know just say don't know or ask more senior staff.

Never had this experience before as older staffs were always help me to find something.

One of my favorite Asian groceries lots of good selection and a variety of products. Prices are reasonable for city center location and convenience.

Been going there for many years and my favourite thing here is the takeaway foods by the store entry.

Went in today 9/1/24 to purchase some grocery around 2:20pm, at the check out i’ve noticed an asian lady with no manners and customer service skills. She didn’t even tell customers the total price all she said was “tap here” then i asked for a bag and my grocery is heavy since it has a heavy glass bottle of a sauce, i asked her if the bag is gonna ripped she then looked at me for a bit and said its fine… instead of offering for another bag which i’m more than happy to pay for after she said its fine she moved on to the next customer straight away. If the bag ended up ripped apart and my sauce fell off and broke, i’m definitely coming back to get my refund money back ! your plastic bag is thinner than anything so double bag for your customers would be good as well as train your staff to have better manner.

So I’m a person who write google reviews only if the service was very good or the worst. But this is terrible. It’s written down on Google that the closing time was 11pm. It was 10:23, I’m not sure is it because they closing soon but when I went to the checkout to finalise my purchases there’s only one lady in the checkout she’s wearing the glasses on her phone all the time. When she serves me, I asked her how much is the pork floss price behind her. She told me to just come and have a look my self. Look here, I’m far sighted and you just right there. If you not going to help the customer, why you put them behind your back in the checkout. I’m also working in the similar industry. If you not serve your customers properly, what you get paid for? Just playing on your phone?

Terrible supermarket. Do not go. I got the rice vermicelli from them and after cooking them, they stank and tasted disgusting. You never know how old their stocks are. Go to Tong Li for better quality.

There’s a bun shop at the front of the store called Cutie puffs running by a middle aged couple. They have a variety of fillings to choose for the buns - beef, pork, vegetables, red bean, etc. I wish the buns are warmer so it would taste nicer. Soy milk is also okay. They do accept cards but sometimes the machine doesn’t work properly so it might take a while…

I have been here a few times! The service is not amazing but the food is! It’s got my favourite salted egg potato/fish skin chips 😍😍 There are so many varieties of snacks and food there! I even bought some instant ramen with Tteokbokki 😍 they have delicious desserts and so many Asian drinks! I am obsessed! Since I can’t travel to Singapore, I can purchase the chippies at this shop!!!
Maybe improve in customer service!

Grocery store with oriental speciality. A small selection of fresh vegetables. Inside is a bigger collections of tinned & prepackaged food from Chinese to South East Asian regions. Varies from prepackaged spices to condiments to general grocery. Very quiet here and staffs looked bored. Not once was I greeted when I visited. It's lined with endless aisles of mostly Asian food. I guess if you're looking for Asian grocery, this is a big store near Town Hall station underground walkway.
