Smaller than I was expecting. Snag any street parking can find. Sunset was pretty. Where's the I?

Lovely place glad I was able to snag a few pictures of the skyline
* Excellent walking trails through the woods.
* Playground, including slide structure, swings. Picnic Shelter. (Inland Drive clearing)

The paths through the woods have little litter; seemingly have few mosquitoes in summer (at least at mid-day); are quite pretty; and have just enough slope to make them feel 3D rather than flat.

One entrance into the woods can be found near the sign on Eagle Creek Parkway. Another entrance can be found in the Inland Drive clearing, well to the east of the playground there.
Parking is free and convenient. Suitable for running, walking, and children's entertainment. There is a special children's entertainment area

Great spot to watch fireworks in the summer and enjoy a great view of the city with a friend or kids any time of the year. The playground equipment, like many parks including Ellenberger, is in mediocre condition but the park grounds and location are unmatched in their beauty. Walk downtown from the park or take a quick stroll through the neighborhood to a local pizza shop.
So much to do and see here. There’s a bee colony, activities, an indoor treehouse, animals, a birdwatching area, even a library! We had so much fun here.

Highland Park boasts a fantastic playground and breathtaking city views from the hilltop. It's perfect for picnics and relaxing with family or friends. However, there are no public restrooms, so plan your visit accordingly.

Sheltered gazebo-pavilion. Swings. Fields. Soccer goals. Portable toilet across from St. Anthony Church, which was getting filled with diapers and tissue at time of my visit.

Hidden gem on the west side. Very quiet, and plenty of nature to explore along Eagle Creek. Would love to see some additional trails and investment from Indy Parks here.

No more fishing at Riverside Park! They closed for the ppl entering the neighborhood. The newcomers don't want bugs that are attracted to the water. So forget the residents who actually enjoyed it for its entirety. It's still a beautiful area. But damn fam...
Great kid-friendly place. Brought ages 2-11 and everyone enjoyed it.

What an absolutely amazing Park. It's always well taken care of the layout of the hiking trails are very nice and the map is amazing we have been to several parks we're hiking is extremely hard because the map is not laid out right and you can get lost easily. Eagle Creek is not one of those parks I highly recommend if you get a chance to come here especially if you're a photographer the wildlife is amazing the bird sanctuary is beautiful.

I had an incredible experience at Eagle Creek Park! The walkable and runnable trails allowed me to immerse myself in nature while getting some exercise. There were numerous spots for breathtaking views and photography, making it a perfect destination for outdoor enthusiasts and photographers alike. Being surrounded by the beauty of nature at this park is rejuvenating. Get a yearly park pass—it’s worth the investment. Highly recommended.

This is one of me and my wife's favorite places to go to unwind and tune into the nature. We love the bird sanctuary and we go fishing at the marina all the time. Must see if your in indy.
It’s a good place to take a walk with your puppy. The place is full of different birds. It also has a wonderful fall color.

We are so lucky to have this beautiful park full of great hiking, birds (eagles, owls, pileated woodpeckers….), and spectacular views. Stop by for a picnic or a hike if you are passing through.
A lovely nature center! There's lots of local creatures to see, fun games and puzzles, and very clean restrooms.

Several acres of *slightly* hilly terrain, mostly grass with some concrete walking paths. Also of note:
* 🏙️🌆 Nice view of the nearby downtown skyline
* Pavilion-gazebo
* Slides and swings

Very little litter here when I visited. 👍
Far exceeded my expectations! In town for a conference & had some extra time. Started on the red loop (6 miles). Stopped at the marina & saw they had kayaks to rent, so did that for 2 hours. Saw a ton of birds & turtles. Finished with the rest of the red loop. Marina has a good selection of drinks & snacks. Water faucets scattered throughout the park. Highly recommend!
What a great park for kids. We brought out 2 year old here and he had a blast at the nature center, playground and hikes. The playground was nice and big too.

I've lived across the street from this great park for 18yrs, they've done a fantastic job this year on improvements to an already great park. Keep up the good work. The new walking, running, bike trail is a added plus and much needed, everything looks great.
This will be one of very few reviews here about the ACTUAL NATURE CENTER, with photos thereof! 😂 🙄

* 🖼️ Habitat Hall exhibits mostly aimed at children, but still of interest to adults.
* 🐢 A couple aquariums with turtles
* 🐝 Bee colony inside transparent glass (in warm weather at least)
* 🐦 🦋 Bird and butterfly viewing windows
* 🚻 💦 Restrooms, with drinking and water bottle fountains
* 🎭 Auditorium (available to rent)
* 👩‍🏫 Two classrooms (available to rent)
* 📚 Nature book library room (available to rent)
* 🛋️ Lounging area
* 📲 Wifi network available for visitors
* Roofed standing pavilion in front of building, possibly providing a bit of shelter even when closed

* 🎾 Around twelve (12) tennis courts
* 🏀 Two (2) full basketball courts
* 🚻 Restrooms (often closed.) Also portable toilets.
* Roofed picnic pavilions
* ⚽ ⚾ 🏈 "Excessive" space devoted to rough baseball/softball diamonds, and fields usable for soccer (maybe 10 acres worth?)
* 🛝 A couple playgrounds
* 🚿 💦 Riverside Aquatic Family Center, with water spray grounds. Open in summer.
* 🏩 Indoor Family Recreation Center. Includes indoor basketball courts 🏀. I believe this center also hosted food pantry distribution in 2023 (Wednesdays, 1pm to 3pm.)
* 🎭 Taggart Memorial Amphitheatre

Note: I'm only considering the roughly ⅒th mile² area between 30th St and Burdsal Pkwy, to the east of the White River. The full Riverside Regional Park is gargatuan at > 1 mile sq., and includes golf courses and other areas.

Neat photo opportunity at the park with downtown in the background and with the Indy sign. There was quite a bit of trash scattered about the park the day we went, but otherwise the family and dogs enjoyed the paved paths and the view while we were there.

A gorgeous place to enjoy some kayaking or paddle boarding! We love all the hikes and all the views. A quite place in a busy city with so much to see. We go there almost weekly and still have so much to explore!

I only came for a night trail run. It was fun and beautiful! My time was off because I stopped to take in the views. My only regret is not being able to see it during daylight!

Shakespeare’s “Love’s Labor’s Lost play at the Taggart amphitheater. A wonderful facility. Our first time here, but not our last. My friend Carla drove.
A must visit! Beautiful ruins and a gorgeous river outback. Definitely be prepared to walk and swim.

This park is one of Indy's best gems. Miles of wooded, dirt paths wind you through pines and other new and old-growth trees. I love that they pepper benches through at beautiful overlooks around the trail that goes around the Ornithology Center. There are miles of marked trails, though they can be a little confusing sometimes. You can always just make your way back to the water. There are also kayak rentals and a launch point. It's a beautiful place.

This park is one of mine and my families' favorite places to hike. 🩷 Next weekend, we're going to traverse onto the lake and maybe do some fishing. The trails are beautiful and ongoing, I could stay out there for hours. It's a perfect place to work on some photography. 📸

The park itself is really nothing special except for the views and for photo taking. It is not very suitable for having a picnic as there is very little shade. My advice would be to get some nice photos of the river and of the man-made boat island and move along.

Pro Tip: Sundown is very nice in the park; sunrise is not as great, based on the angles

Perfect #sunsetview in downtown Indianapolis. This park is situated on a hill dominating the skyline .
There are kids seesaws , swings and slide .
Negative note : I wish the park was better maintained (trash cans were not emptied).
Nice park in the middle of town with play equipment for kids, a pavilion with table, grill and trash cans. There are short walking trails and a nice view of the Indy skyline. The park is open from dawn til dusk. A homeless person was sleeping on the picnic table when we visited, so that might make using the grill and pavilion area a bit uncomfortable. There are no restroom facilities and there is no parking lot.

We had our group's picnic at this park and things went well. Make sure to reserve a shelter though. The weather was perfect and it was just a really good time.

Seems like a nice park. Has great potential for many kinds of wildlife. The White River recently got a rock fall installed to replace the dam by 16th street. Very interesting to see 7 mini water falls at once n

Quiet little park to sit at and do work while kids play.... easy to keep an eye on them. Could use a cleaning and a few more things to keep em busy. No bathroom near by, but it's still a nice park

Not real big and not much to play on. They do have a blacked top parking lot that isn't busy, if you have a child that has a power wheel or a bike

Another great outdoor adventure. The play area had fresh mulch and was well taken care of.

Dry park, no restrooms. Small set of climbing gym. Small rusted swings and monkey bars. No picnic tables. Nice greenway walk by little eagle creek. Beware of homeless camps under bridges. Not a very fun place.
Holliday Park has beautiful grounds, the Rock Garden is amazing (has stairs to take..no stroller unless small), the Ruins was nice to cool your feet off in after a good 3 hour hike. A+++ area for family.
We like to visit this park. It seems to be a forgotten park. Its never busy. It has swings and a playground. Also by the water. Some trails to walk.
Nice little park, great for taking the kids out to play

Change is difficult, but the progress is almost soothing. Very old trees were removed. I hope new ones will be planted.

Awesome place dedicated to the actor that played Jethro on The Beverly Hillbillies.
This park is a hidden gem tucked away in its own little corner of heaven. The ruins are magnificent. They do not cover a huge area but you find yourself lingering, daydreaming amidst the beautiful flowers. The sound of flowing water & birds chirping fills you with a sense of peace. The Nature Center was a delight for children & adults. They have a 2nd floor with a elevator to be used by handicapable individuals which I thought was absolutely wonderful. The playground area is amazing. 3 different playground areas for different age groups. We took our 2 year old & he thoroughly enjoyed playing on the "big kids" equipment. On the way back to our car we chose to walk thorough the grass & although we saw people walking dogs, never once thought to look down for poo...we were too busy admiring the trees, saying Hi to passerby's, & enjoying our time together. We did not visit the trail portion BUT will be returning to walk them. Literally cannot say enough good things about this park.
Nice little trail to walk.. maybe with a friend.

It isn’t very pet friendly and not the best trial for kids, lots of branches sticking out and trash littered about.

More or less nice for a little walk and talk.

There is some clearing in the brush that looks to be used for a small “hangout” area- some clothes and trash stay there regularly.

Make sure to wear bugspray if you want to take a stroll! :)
Nice parks to spend 2 hours, make sure you do a trail going to the whiteriver. It is a short trail but had a nice scenery.

Its a park!! Not recommened for takin kids there. Only a couple swings so not much for kids to do.
Nice little park. Shelter with picnic tables. Playground is adequate. No grills, no restrooms, no water on site.
It's not what it was. Apartments near by are full of drugs and thieves. Pretty much like everywhere else

I wouldn't go back there if you paid me. I heard all kinds of noises in the wooded part surrounding the entire park. It's creepy and homeless drug addicts live in them. So no thank you. You go to the park to relax and enjoy your surroundings not looking over your shoulder trying to be prepared for something to come rushing you out of the woods.
Its a quite medium sized play yard park with a pavilion and grill. They are a short distance from each other. A large field far from busy traffic. Only residential traffic nearby.
A quiet park with a moderat bit not too challenging nature trail.
