No le doy todas las estrellas solo porque el zoo está cerrado y creo que los espacios interiores debiesen ser mayor aprovechados. Pero es un lugar bello de descanso y de un rato en familia.
Very nice place, clean, family friendly and always with some activity. There are coffee shops, restaurants and small boutiques near by and many historical buildings. Beautiful churches (from an architectural pov) and buildings.
Center of the town of La Serena. Easy walking distance to a beautiful church and the shopping district.

Several times in La Serena city, first time in here, there's a fair with handcrafted products and artisans, some of them worth the visit
There's parking around the square and under it. The square has an array of stalls selling local art, plants, food and crafts. It also has a grassed area to sit and relax.
Beautiful Plaza with a craft/food trucks fair in front of it and varying activities over the weekends. Nice vegetation too. Tjere is also a chirch in front of it. In the heart of the city
