Cottage #17 was to close to the road and traffic, from trucks heard going down route 14 all night long. Don't recommend Cottage #17 or 18 others were back further, probably much quieter. As far as location to wineries and shopping perfect. The food was really good at the Bistro.
We’ve been coming to Seneca Lake for 30+ years, and this is the first time we have stayed here. We will definitely stay here again. The rooms are clean, location is convenient, the food at the bistro is phenomenal, and we really enjoyed everything about this resort. Friendly staff, enjoyed the campfire every evening.
Was a last minute trip & turned out perfect! View was beautiful & every staff person so friendly! Room was clean & while it wasn’t super big - really not necessary since so much to do in the area! We did few parks & wineries & enjoyed the resort bonfire when we returned at night (great meeting guests from all over). We will definitely be back!
Really enjoyed everything about the place. The staff was awesome! Had some fun conversation about pork roll and taylor ham for the Jersey folks! The bistro was clean, organized and had really good food. We had both breakfast and dinner. The cabin was clean, quaint, and the view outside was wonderful. We walked the trails on the property and sat by the mini waterfall. Location was perfect for traveling to the wineries and distilleries around the lake, as well as visiting Watkins Glen. We had company every morning for breakfast with Rocky, the owner's chocolate lab. We look forward to our next visit.
Beautiful and cozzzzy place to stay! Just 5-7 minutes from Watkins Glen State Park. I’m thinking to return in Fall to see the foliage! And they have their own waterfall!!! The room was clean, they provide blankets for dogs.
The food I bistro was delicious!
They have the private transfer old style tram to the city and around.
Highly recommend!!!!
We had such a wonderful time at Lakeside Resort. The room we had was comfortable and quiet, clean and well outfitted with new appliances and TV. The views cannot be beat. Such a wonderful sight to wake up to.
We also ate at the 3812 Bistro and it was delicious. I had the burger and some incredible peach bread pudding and my wife had scallops and a cheesecake with fruit for dessert, everything was great, including the service.
The trail by the creek with the waterfall was charming and quiet as well as beautiful.
They have a fire pit lit every night they're able. While we didn't join it did look like a lot of fun with other guests and their pets sitting around chatting.
Please make sure to pet Rocky, the awesome chocolate lab living his best life at the resort. He's a good boy.
This place was wonderful. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The only thing I can nit nip on were that the rooms were smallish. You aren't going to be able to host any poker games in there, but 4 adults were able to sleep comfortably. The rooms look as if they were recently built and were very clean. If you like dogs, then you will love Rocky the roving dog host. The view is great and you are a quick drive to Watkins Glen and a quick drive to several wineries. All and all, I would stay here again.
Stayed 2 nights in cabin 15 and had a great time. We have a small dog and enjoyed the welcome package left in our room. The views of the lake are fantastic. The community fire pit in the evening was awesome. The restaurant on-site serves some of the tastiest food I’ve had. Great location to Watkins Glen State Park and wineries/ breweries in the area. Highly recommend!
