Super fun resort, only 30 mins from SLC. Altitude is definitely bearable compared to Breckenridge, also the town is so cool!
Only downside is weird alcohol laws for those who like their drinks.
If it weren’t for this gondola & parking I wouldn’t have a pass to DV. Living in Heber- w the drive & accessibly of the 🚠, it doesn’t get much better.
White glove service. They take your skis and load them onto the gondola and take them off at the top.

Great resort. This is basically 3 resorts in one. 3 distinct sections with 2 "entrances" the Iron Mountain - the middle section is underappreciated by most. If you want to escape the crowds - head there.
This used to be the hidden secret of Deer Valley. It's a great parking spot without dealing with Park City traffic. Unfortunately, it's no longer a secret. They have a shuttle if you don't get there early enough to park close. I won't park anywhere else for Deer Valley. That being said, the actual ski run for Jordanelle is not great 😒. That's the only reason I won't give it 5 stars.
Totally unnecessary lift for the privileged. Destroyed a mountain for poor snow conditions and ok skiing at best during the best years. Rest of the year it looks like a scar on the hillside.

Awesome! The food and resort was amazing! It had many choices of food, and places to go! The skiing was great; it had ski runs for all levels. It is a little pricey but it was worth it!

For December/early January skiing, it is important to find out if the runs that allow you to ski down to the Town Lift are open. Else, you will need to take the Town Lift down at the end of your ski day. They load every other chair going down and it is very slow with long lines at the end of the day.

Had I know that this would be a factor, I’d have stayed someplace else. Staying next to the Town Lift is highly valuable but not if the Town Lift runs are closed.

Took the city bus from the end of one of the other resorts one day. Disappointing. Not what we paid for.
Beautiful breathtaking resort. We had gone early December, so more than a few runs and lifts were closed because of how early it was. But there were plenty of blues and greens to keep us busy and challenged for our level.

Bus system was straightforward from the main mountain to the canyon side, but was fairly confusing to get back and accidentally went the wrong way. If all the lifts were open though you could get there via lift.

Not crowded. No waits. Well maintained slopes. Overall, really great
Great customer service. I got locked out of my account, and they got me back in immediately. The slopes are great and there are a lot of tracks. I've had a season pass here before and I'm happy with the variety of park, tree, and regular runs. This resort is huge.

Nice little town, specially if you are a skier ⛷️ we stay for two nights at the Marriot mountain vacation club, and enjoy the time and place. Restaurants are a bit pricey and during September to November many places closed down. People are friendly, if you are a skier you will enjoy a lot this place and probably will pay more than we did as we stayed during the off season.
You can still enjoy the beautiful views in the summer. My kids love going up the lift every summer

as someone who enjoys a bit of pampering now and then look no further. if you want that and more head to deer valley for some of the best skiing in one of the most sumptuous settings with the most attentive and friendly service i have experienced. lovely hotels, delicious meals and powder, powder, and more powder await. we could not have been happier that we made deer valley one of our ski destinations in a state that offer so many. thank you utah, we'll be back and we'll spread the word for sure!
Great fun one or two times but overall it's expensive and the ride doesn't last very long. I would recommend it if you have never been but there is a lot more to do in the area such as a zip line, mountain biking, coaster track and scenic ride up and down the mountain.
Breathtaking! For such a short drive to Utah locals and for those who travel from far distances, it's a must for the soul. Just make sure all items are secured when on the lifts, especially cell phones;)
Flew to Utah for a weekend girls trip and decided to head over to Park City to experience the Alpine Slide for the first time. The chair lift up to the slide was such a cool experience. The view was breathtaking and I even saw deer running across the way.

The alpine slide was so fun and the guy working it (Sebastian) was great as well!

The ride is absolutely amazing and unlike any other. The line are a little long for all rides but I think it's worth it if you make a day of it. Not cheap either but... worth it and what a fun date excursion. Thx Park City!!!!

Winter. 23/24 updated

First of the ski season and we are looking forward to seeing 👀 what the ❄️ will bring!!
I posted the early season prices.

Absolutely 💯 amazing.
I'm coming up to the largest ski area in the United States. The lifts are top notch and the crowds are mitigated by the express online order and outside expedited fulfillment.
On the high valley transit system, you can visit the rest of the best ski resorts in America.

Family friendly, plenty of facilities that use zero waste toilet 🚻s.
I recommend you go see for yourself.
I'm sure you're done with any other resorts.

Summer is not a down time for the resort either. Just went with my girlfriend to the adventure park.
Longest Alpine Slide in the country with a mountain coaster as well!!!!

Best ski resort I’ve ever been to. Amazing service, food, and the runs are great! The groomers get a lot of the blues and all of the greens groomed almost every night, and the blacks are amazing for more advanced skiers! I personally enjoyed the blacks over by the Mayflower lift, but they’re super hard, so unless you’re an advanced skier, I wouldn’t try them! The lift lines can get super long if you don’t wake up and get over there early enough, so make sure you’re over there and getting your skis on BEFORE Carpenter and Silver Lake open. Anyway, this resort is amazing, and it’s kept me coming back for 8 years!
Very fun activities and atmosphere. Some would say it isn't worth the price points because the attractions are definitely short. We rode the coaster for $36 a person and it was super fun and fast with great views, but lasted less than 5 minutes.

Loved this the staff was great, I am plus size and always worried about younger staff but this staff didnt show any judgement were helpful with helping on and off the slides and the coaster, and talkative and friendly encouraging, thank you for that
Holy moly, full on fun with this alpine long slide. I wish it’s little bit longer ride because the ride finished in 3 minutes. oh no 🙈!!!! but you gonna enjoy for sure ! Coming again

We enjoyed our time at park City ! The views were spectacular definitely kid friendly. This place is a must when you are in Park City . They do have different packages , if you do not want to ride certain rides .
Totally fun doing the Alpine Slide. Leisurely chairlift ride up the mountain then a quick ride down. Beautiful views on tne way up. Not very crowded.
Awesome resort! It’s really expensive though, so I would recommend getting an epic pass if you can. I actually preferred canyons side a bit more because there was less people and harder terrain, but there’s definitely plenty of runs for any skill level. I definitely hope to be back soon!

Amazing destination for the whole family.
Winter provides great skiing and snowboarding.
Summer is also very popular.
Brutal singles line, quads nearly empty and singles easily 15 minutes longer as they NEVER loaded four singles to make the waits at all even. Very little parking. If you don't get a spot it's a painful drive over to the other lots. I waited over a half hour for a ride up while the quads line was less than 15 minutes. Avoid. Update 2024 Had a better experience in the singles line on a crowded Saturday. Maybe new ops now or just my bad luck last time. Adding one star... still not enough parking and not enough upload capacity for the parking they do have.
DISGUSTING ATTITUDE AND POUR COSTUMER SERVICE FROM “manager” DARRELL EVANS!!! HE HAS TO BE FIRED IMMEDIATELY!!!!!!
CAN NOT EXPRESS ENOUGH WITH WORDS HOW ANGRY WE ARE RIGHT NOW AND HOW DISRESPECTFUL THIS PERSON TREATED US!!!

Came to ski ( from Miami Feb 24th to 28th ) in Canons and Park City, but due to the incredible amount of people ( pictures/videos attached), we couldn't do much. We arrived early ( Saturday the 25th ) and started the line for the gondola at 8:30 a.m., and after almost 3 hours in line, we were able to get in the gondola to start the day around noon!
Almost four hours in the morning were wasted making a line and using a gondola just to encounter hundreds of people making more lines for chairlifts.

We paid ($250 plus tax per day, almost $270 ) for a full day of skiing and we only got maybe 2 hours of skiing.
Some chairlifts close at 3:30 p.m. as well. We are coming from out of state and we are on vacation for only three days of skiing.

When we arrived at the ticket window and explained our concern to this employee, (”manager”) the lack of arrogance and audacity was beyond insolence. He did not care about anything we were saying. He was not willing to help us in any way and was making fun of us.

Here we are on our last day of skiing and wanted to ski for half a day and the price for a half-day ticket is almost $230!!!! The full price is $250, ridiculous!
After the explanation that was provided to this employee, he refused to assist us in any way. When I asked if I could take a picture of his name tag, he offered to pose with a thump up and a big smile! That was when we lost it!
I don’t think I can describe the frustration!!!
I don’t understand why this company has this kind of employee working for them.
Extremely disrespectful and unprofessional!!!
We could have paid for half a day, but his attitude ruined the whole experience and we decided just to leave. This place is not worth it!!!
Not coming back again to be treated this way!

Darrel Evans’s supervisor was not helping either. After we left for a few minutes, we needed to speak to Darrel’s supervisor, but he seemed not to care either!

WILL NEVER COME BACK TO THIS PLACE AGAIN!!!

Most groomed slopes (daily) in the world! Deer Valley is a world-class ski resort, and for good reason. The Montage, St. Regis, ski school, competitive events, the slope side dining options, skier shuttle, amazing uphill capacity, Deer Valley has it all! Skiing ⛷️ is great, snowboarding isn’t permitted, and your Ikon pass currently (2022-23) provides 7 days at DV annually. If you want groomers, high class, and low crowds, Deer Valley is the place!

Just skied one day at Deer Valley while in Park City, mainly because I have heard for decades how great it is and it did not disappoint in the slightest It is a little spendy, but all three in my party felt it was worth the expense and that it was an incredible experience. The runs were great, the food was spectacular for lunch, the service was too notch, and the views everywhere you looked were amazing. If/when I come back to the area, I will always set aside a day for skiing at Deer Valley.

Excellent place for first time skiers! The mountain wasn’t crowded on Wednesday or Thursday, and we were able to get right on lift. The routes were great because even at the top of mountain you could take a green route, so as a beginner you could still go to top. Homerun was THE most fun route, 3.5 miles of cross country turns and then some steeper slopes with the best views EVER! The snow was well maintained and powdery, a perfect spot for beginners learning. The whole lodge was convenient and easy to get around walking in your ski boots (parking, food, rental equipment, bathrooms are all in main building at bottom of mountain).

Only have great things to say. We were comparing where to go skiing and boarding and park city fit our needs the most. Staff are awesome and helpful. The atmosphere, views and people make Park City a special place! From beginner to advanced this mountain has it all.

Go during Sundance, ZERO crowds, no lines!
The staff was amazing. The lodge is a bit confusing at first but there were plenty of workers to help guide you where to go. The ski school was probably the best I've experienced so far (I haven't experienced many to be fair). The runs were fun. I will say there is probably more for more experienced riders. It's also reasonably priced! And free parking too with a shuttle that brings you to the lodge. One downfall is no snowboarding.
Parking very difficult and scarce. Get towed and you will spend $500. No place to seat in the building. No drinks or food available. Convenient from Heber. Good access to Dear Valley.

A great day spent at the mountain. My spouse and friend had fun skiing there. We noticed how helpful were the staff at every point, from parking lot, we were lucky to find 1 spot mid day, thanks to the guy that worked there, to ticket issuing, to the rentals, to the lifts, shops and restaurants, and on the trails people were just generally nice and patient. They wanna come back and repeat the experience.

I am extremely happy with my experience here! I am still learning how to ski, while my boyfriend has been snow boarding for years, and we were both able to enjoy the mountain together. There were tons of trail options available for all skill levels and the maps were easy to navigate. One of my most absolute favorite things about Park City, and the reason I’m writing this review, was the staff! Starting from parking, to the season pass office, etc, we were greeted with friendly staff who were more than willing to answer questions. I was AMAZED with the hospitality provided. The park “hosts” greeted us on the mountain and even on the lifts, giving us all the great tips and tricks to make our day fun. There were multiple occasions where we weren’t sure where to go, and all we had to do was turn around and find a person in a red shirt who happily gave us direction. Even the mountain safety staff was beyond kind! Special shout out to Jeff in the mountain safety team - I was moving slow at the end of the day and he took the time to make sure my boyfriend and I were okay and safe as we made our final run down the mountain. So far this is my favorite ski experience I have had and I can’t wait to come back. We even saw moose at the end of our day!!!! So cool!! 10/10 highly recommend!!

It was great! Kids & adults took snowboarding lessons and we later found out it's easier to learn to ski than snowboard. Instructor we're excellent for both groups. Fun park but we need more lessons, see you'll next year 🤩🤗🙏🙌
Omgosh! We had so much fun at this park. The mountain roller coaster was our favorite, but we really enjoyed the mountain slide as well! Our visit was during off season, as we were in town for a wedding, but there were no wait times for anything. Such a fun stop for anyone in town.
How truly wonderful it is to visit a ski-only mountain! It is a completely different atmosphere! Great conditions, beautiful mountains, marvelous views, fantastic slopes, and surprisingly polite people. This was a fabulous experience, and it is such a place, where you want to return someday.
Someday, maybe, you will get as lucky as I did and park the closest you've gotten to a lift. Great view along the way and Deer Valley employees are the best around.
Very lovely and well maintained! The historic lift has an authentic silver mine cart and a short description to go along with it!
Only reason to go right now is that no one else is in there so you don't have to make a reservation. ZERO food unless you count the chili that's all over the mountain and some prewrapped brownies. Can't wait for the Covid rule bs to be over. There's no reason for these mountain restaurants to sink this low.
the view tho. nothing short of spectacular. like wow. sad because writing this review from bed with a broken collarbone trying to believe my season isn’t over. always take the gondola. it’s a experience

Good out of the way location to meet up with your fellow skiers. Food selection similar to Red Pine Lodge. Still gets crowded between 12pm and 1pm.
Location and views are spectacular, food upstairs at silver star cafe. Spectacular
Staying here was an overall great experience. Darrell was easy to communicate with and flexible with our budget. As far as location goes, you couldn't ask for much better. The views of Park City are incredible anytime of day and it's still only a 5 minute drive into Main Street. There are multiple hiking trails right out your door. We even spotted a moose on an early morning hike. The rooms are spacious, kitchen is stocked well enough to cook for the family, and all appliances/utilities are in great working order. Only complaint we had is we wished there were more towels and extra sheets. Overall great experience and would recommend to friends and family.
Nice rental... some highs and lows.
We stayed in October, 2019.

THE AREA-
Most importantly, the view and location are fantastic. Close access by quick drive to all the fun on Main Street in Park City, the views from Guardsman Pass, and more trails than anyone can consume on one vacation. This particular house is very short walk away from the 23 mile long Mid-Mountain trail which weaves from the Deer Valley all the way down into the Park City Mountain system, as well as the shorter Deer Valley trail and challenging Boulder summit trail. Not enough could be said about how magnificent the area is for adventure, and Larkspur is right in they middle of it all.

THE HOUSE-
The house itself leaves a bit to be desired. It seems as though the owners aren’t paying much attention to replacement of old and worn down things around the house. Sorry to be very specific, but the owners can show their mettle by correcting these items for upcoming guests...
-The living room couches are very very poor. Most cushions are completely collapsed, very uncomfortable. Throw pillows haven’t been cleaned... maybe ever. It’s particularly sad with such a pretty gas fireplace that just begs to be enjoyed.
-The washer and dryer should have long since been upgraded. The washer did not get the clothes clean and drying clothes takes three to four cycles at times. Pretty frustrating to have to pay this much attention to washing/drying clothes on vacation. This problem is exasperated considerably when you find out that there are no extra towels in the house. Only the minimum for each sink and shower, so we had to wash towels almost daily to compensate.
-Dishwasher soap dispenser doesn’t close, so there is a good chance that all the soap rinses out before the cycle actually starts to clean the dishes.
- Some bathrooms don’t have locking doors (this was an interesting one, still scratching my head).

I did give 4 stars instead of 3. I think the house and deserves 3-1/2 stars at this point. All of these items could be remedied by the owners very simply and at reasonable expense... Time will tell what they are made of. For now, the owners don’t seem to be making the investments that they need to make to guarantee that this a 5 star location.

SIDE NOTE-
-It’s unfortunate and cannot be changed, but the kitchen is extremely small. Just a note for those of us who like to cook... if you plan on cooking this might not be the house for you.

Nice views when snow all around. Great view of top of the mountain where people come down skiing. You can get skii rentals to do this. The lift takes you to the top and you can come down skiing. Personally I never did skiing looks fairly convenient for skiiers.

Stayed at a home in this community, great views. The house was spacious and included in there price was shuttle to park city town and PC resort and deer valley resorts, the ride down by road is magical at night, almost christmassy. And this was in March!
This home also is a block and a few steps away from the midmountain slope on deer valley mountain...
We're all rented up and ready to go. Now we need some more snow this winter!
We rented this place last skiing season but decided to try a late summer trip. The rent was a little lower than in the winter but it's such a wonderful location. Fantastic amenities and the free shuttle to town was awesome!
