Got carry-out here. The gyro platter and the chicken platter were great. The beef sandwich plate was not. The beef was so tough that you could not even cut it with a knife. Inedible and we threw it out. The salads were great and so was the hummus. However, the house salad dressing tasted really weird. Use your own salad dressing if you get carry-out. Tasziki sauce was good. Overall, very inconsistent with some great items and some not.

Very clean place, great service. The food is absolutely fantastic, and the owner has a lot of passion for the ingredients and customer service.

Recently moved back to the area. Almost didn’t try this place because of the up and down reviews. I had it last week and this week. Both times I had the Chicken Souvlaki Platter. It was very good. The salad was fresh with all the usual ingredients, the chicken was very well seasoned and tender, the pita was delicious, the yogurt sauce and salad dressing was also very good. For sure I’ll be going back again and again and again! Seems like Africans bought the place but it was very good Greek food.

Enjoyed the gyro sandwich. Large portions, Tzatziki sauce was excellent. Can even sit outside.

Good place is dated in decor. The service was ok. Order my food online (gyro platter) is overpriced but it used to be worth it. The website says allow 20 minutes to prepare. I thought that was long since all the do is heat up the food. Well I picked up my order in about 15 minutes, it was cold, they didn't heat it up enough, it didn't taste fresh at all. I'm not going back. The quality and taste of the gyro platters had changed over the years. I think it may be under new management or something but definitely thumbs down. 20 bucks down the toilet

This place is a hidden gem! I wished we lived closer and glad we tried it…by far it’s hands down the best Greek food I’ve had in a long time! :) Will def pay them a visit again!

There might be a Greek aroma, but there's certainly not much Greek flavor. My wife and I ate here tonight and were sorely disappointed by the food and service. The meager portions of the Mediterranean platter you see here were made all the more humble by the staff forgetting not only the hummus but also the single(!) dolma that was to accompany it. My wife's Friday special platter was, likewise, of miserly portion size, and they neglected to include the baklava with it. I had to request the missing items, which I was then summoned to retrieve. (They couldn't bring even their missing items to the table?) The baklava was soggy, but not in the nice way, laden down with syrup, but rather like a pastry that had been left in a humid room for an entire day. Extremely disappointing from every angle, and we paid $45 for the two of us to experience it. May I humbly suggest you visit Aleko's Village Cafe or The Big Greek Cafe in Urbana. Both are excellent.

I seldom leave a bad review, but this experience warranted it.

I don’t usually do this as I am a restaurant manager and know things are hard right now, but I’ve never witnessed a downfall like this before. I used to live on this end of town and come once a week, minimum. Now I’m on this end of town every 3 weeks and stop in whenever I can. It has rapidly gone from the best in town to not worth it at all.

I’ve even talked to the manager about the “changes” and he seems completely oblivious to a restaurant needs to focus on consistency of ts foo, it’s literally garbage at this point. Thin, runny tasteless Tzatziki, smaller pita, flavorless gyro meat….I could go on.

New menu board, new art, new table arrangement with burnt out light bulbs, broken coke machine, and suddenly a used cooler with warm Costco sodas. Get a contract with Coke, it’ll be cheaper in the long run. Focus on the food, get back to what you were not that long ago, re discover consistency and if you’re still open in a year I’ll try again. Honestly sad and disappointing.
