The food and menu are absolutely incredible. One of the best restaurants in town. The service is fantastic. I love the management team. This is such a great restaurant. Highly recommend fabulous atmosphere, friendly staff!

The location is interesting. We went on a Friday night. We choose it for the GF menu.

The first waiter was dismissive and lacked personality. After a while a new waiter began serving us. She was better.

We started with the French onion soup. It was GF and good.

We next had the GF crab cakes. They were excellent. Great sauce and sides.

I ordered the San Marino Pizza. I choose that because it has some sausage in the description. I did not like the sauce or the toppings.

Dessert was a perfect Crème Brûlée.

There are a lot of very interesting menu items. I think it's well worth a visit.

Went here with a friend to grab a bite in the area. It was a beautiful day outside, so I was excited to go somewhere with outdoor seating.

We were not greeted by staff, and it took a long time for them to come and take our orders - and even longer for them to bring it out.
I got the chimichurri steak, and my friend got the salmon steak. It would've been DELICIOUS - if it arrived to the table hot. Food arrived to the table lukewarm.

Throughout the entire meal, I was never offered a refill on my glass of water - until right before the check came.

Really hoped for a better experience after looking at other reviews.

If you want a pleasant brunch experience, then I recommend Salento. They’re exceptional for their service and atmosphere, and then their food was also quite enjoyable (a little pricey but worth it). I recommend the Homemade Brioche French Toast and Signature Paella! Delicious!

It would be better if the waitress smiled more, I think something was bothering her today

Salento has been around for over 16 years for a reason. This charming casual Cafe and bistro echoes a special European sentiment. Expect to enjoy an enticing array of options on the menu and a unique wine selection. A beautifully decorated Cafe sets the stage for enjoyable casual dining, be it breakfast, brunch or dinner.

Really nice atmosphere and service. Although we had to wait for a good five minutes to be seated. We went there for Afternoon Tea, and to be honest, I expected better food and pastries. I loved the fact that there was a lot of variety and you could taste a decent number of different finger foods and pastries, but I think the quality should have been better for the price. Overall, interesting experience, but for me not worth a second try.

A group of 4 of us visited here as part of a 20 year college reunion. What a delightful treat. We started off with champagne, then a beautiful 3 tiered platter came out with finger sandwiches, crab cakes, crème brûlées, lemon tarts, raspberry cakes. Then we each got our own pot of tea! It was such a fun highlight of our trip. My favorite finger sandwich was the little BLTs. The crab cakes were small and cute and delicious. My favorite dessert was definitely the lemon tarts. This experience was so worth the price!

A great experience early Sunday evening. It was quaint and lively. Wasn't crowded and tha was nice. The space is welcoming and the services is friendly and attentive. Andrea was our waitress. She was very nice and personable. We gad never been here prior. We'd gone to another establishment right before this but they didn't have the good service that Salento ended up offering. I'm glad we made the switch. The pesto pasta was delicious. Very flavorful! Tasty hummus and calamari. Their menu is modest but effective. I will definitely be back to try the paella! Thanks for the great experience!

I visited this restaurant during Houston Restaurant Weeks and I visited it mainly because they were participating. It was definitely a disappointment that I actually had to ask the server for the special menu. Why participate if you will not promote it???? He also took my order without asking me which sides I wanted. I had to find him more than 5 min later to ensure that my order is complete. Our water kept running out without anyone making sure it is refilled. And they seemed to have been short on i e because we didn’t get any.

The food was really good though. I enjoyed all parts of it except crème brulee. THAT WAS A CRIME. Who does creme brulee with custard???!!!! Oh my goodness. It was so sweet and so creamy that already at the first spoon I was done. So disappointing. This level of restaurant should definitely be able to make it the right way.

Atmosphere is nice. Relaxing. Quiet. Definitely tea like and perfect place to meet with friends for a chat.

Stopped in for late lunch and decided to try the empanadas and paella based on others reviews. The empanadas were really delicious. Flaky, buttery dough and stuffed full. The paella wasn't all that great, rice felt a bit rushed and the shrimp were slightly undercooked. Service was just ok, we didn't even get a water refill. 3.5 stars. Worth checking out the empanadas!

I went for brunch today and enjoyed my experience more than the first time I visited. The food was great and so was the ambiance. I especially recommend the Avocado Toast with Lox. Also recommend their Blood orange Mimosa and Irish Coffee. Will definitely visit again.

Every single thing we tried is delicious, amazing quality and freshly made.. The fried calamari, the eggplant fries, the watermelon cucumber salad & the Amalfi pizza are highly recommended. For dessert, the Tuscan Almond torte was a perfect balance between sweet & citrus.. Allan, our server, was very friendly, and every single thing he recommended was on point. We are definitely coming back! :)

The service was quite slow but I think they were short staffed. Our waitress seemed like she was newer too, didn’t really know about the wines on the wine menu.

But the food was good, my wife had some shrimp and I had some mussels. The mussels themselves were pretty small in meat but the sauce was SOO good. Dipping the bread in the sauce was even better. I would NOT recommend the sangria, it just didn’t have much flavor.

The outside patio area was chill and dog friendly.

Met some friends for brunch and the interior was cozy. Service was awesome. Price is what you would expect.

Quinoa salad with added salmon 5/5
The salad was delicious. I love how generous they were with the avocado and salmon. They gave the whole piece.

Drinks 4/5
We enjoyed the tea and latte. Not a lot of variety for teas but they were all organic and gave a side of honey.

Avocado toast 5/5
Pretty presentation. Good amount of salmon to avocado to toast.

Empanada 5/5
Friend really enjoyed them

Steak taco 5/5
Steak was flavorful and tender. Liked that they stuffed it.

Great service, atmosphere and food. We had white sangria sparkler , calamari and truffle potatoes to start, waffles with chicken and duck oxtail confit. All good :-)

Jan 2024 update - changed owner but still delicious food, excellent service We enjoyed the ambiance and our waiter Alex was attentive and friendly. We had calamari ( tender and delicious ) , followed by the lobster risotto and chcicken and asparagus crepes. Both very delicious. The dessert we got was the tortillas with lemon curd. So good , hot tortillas that melt in your mouth. And the curd was so light and refreshing. Highly recommend this place for lunch dinner or brunch !!
