I recently attended a graduation party at Goddard Memorial State Park, and it was an absolutely delightful experience. The park is beautifully maintained, offering a picturesque setting with its lush greenery, well-kept lawns, and scenic views of the water. It's an ideal location for gatherings and celebrations.
The facilities at the park are top-notch. We used one of the picnic pavilions, which was spacious and equipped with everything we needed. The area was clean and well-organized, making it easy to set up and enjoy our event. There were plenty of picnic tables.
Overall, Goddard Memorial State Park provided a wonderful backdrop for the graduation party, offering a blend of natural beauty and excellent amenities. I highly recommend it for any outdoor event or just a day out in nature.

Nice beach close to Providence. Beautiful trails too.

It was really great to have space to enjoy other people's company outdoors. Very busy place. Ladies Bathrooms where we were, were unusable.5/26/24 no charge to enter. Great views. Closes at sunset 🌇

One of my favorite parks in RI. I actually learned how to swim at the beach there. The land is picturesque and vast on 489.2 acres. There are forests, golf course, fields, 18 miles of equestrian/walking trails, picnic tables, and an arts center. The park is open all year from sunrise to sunset. Parking at the beach area is decent but can be full during the summer. I liked to go around 5 pm in the summer since it's not too busy at that time.
The beach was clean but the water has a bit of seaweed; it overlooks the Narragansett Bay. I've walked the trails in the woods and it's peaceful. I've snowshoed in the winter and that was also beautiful. It's a great place to have a picnic and chill. Definitely another RI gem.

It was so much fun to visit in the winter ...a bit cold but still beautiful

Serene, spacious, remnant of a historic theme park on the waters edge. I spent an afternoon imagining its heyday. As an urban explorer, having permitted access and plaques to learn from (and bathrooms)was nice. A well placed playground or picnic tables would do the "normal" visitor some good though. Does make for a great walking adventure. I will be back.

One of my favorite places in Rhode Island. 3/4 of a mile shoreline walk. Wonderful new fishing pier. Used to be an amusement park for many years. Historic site in Little Rhody.

What a beautiful state park with great views of sea. Park has a paved walking trails loop, which probably 1 -1.5 miles. Lots of parking available. Come with friend and family and have lots of fun!
One big complaint I have is that two speed breakers at the entrance to parking lot are way too high. Bottom of my car touched it both times even though I was careful. I can imagine sports cars being dinged or damaged if not very careful.

It's no longer a amusement park but it's a beautiful state park, has it's own beach as you can see in my pictures. Has a wall with 2-3 steps to go down onto beach. Boats docked in water close by. . Remnants of the skyline grace the landscape still. Plenty of parking 🅿️, and there's portapotties for using the bathroom. Lots of them spread around. Kite flying and dogs playing everywhere it's a beautiful place for a picnic, to make memories!

We have been going here for years with our dogs. There are off trails and hidden hang outs everywhere. It’s one of Rhode Island’s best parks in my opinion. It’s not big so it’s an easy place to walk and has a paved path on the main trail. You can be there as little to as long as you want depending on how much you explore. Since we moved I make it a point to visit anytime I come back to the state. It’s my favorite park in Rhode Island.

Great place to come for a run, walk, some exercise with or without your pup. Lots of monthly events during the summer from food truck night to movie in the park nights to yoga nights. This past weekend was the traveling Vietnam wall, which was very sombering to see up close. Fish from the newly built pier, picnic with the family, or enjoy the beach, there is something for everyone and plenty of room for everyone! The paved path is I believe just about a mile and a half, maybe slightly more. Come at dusk and maybe catch a glimpse or two of some deer.

Scenic park and good for a walk. You can witness one of the most beautiful sunrises in Rhode Island from here. You can enjoy fishing at the fishing pier. The Arc structure is nice but not that great.
Definitely a nice place to visit for a evening stroll and sunrise.

We rented a field for our 3 sons' joint birthday party/summer kick-off and it was the perfect amount of space. The park rangers were attentive, the field was easy to find and the grounds were clean.
The only thing that was a bit of a pain was getting g the picnic tables assigned to my site all somewhatclose together so guests weren't so far apart from eachother. It really wasn't a big deal though.
We've always loved Goddard Park for cookouts and parties, and look forward to the next one.

This is a pretty diverse park. Beach, boat ramp, rental sites for day camping. I enjoy the wooded walks - there are lots of loops. In the winter there are portable toilets. The rest of the year, the regular bathrooms are open.

One of my favorite parks in Rhode Island. Expansive trails, beach, woods, plenty of open space for picnics and parties. A great place to connect with friends and family outdoors. During their regular season, you can rent spaces with picnic tables. Bathrooms do close after October 31, but they have portapotties in a couple of locations. The farmer’s market is small, but has some good vendors. Something to offer during all seasons.

This is a historic, scenic, clean, peaceful park with nice views, beach, and walking path.
