Good option to spend time with nature. Just relax and enjoy the surrounding area of corstorphine hill.
This entrance is a faitly steep one compared to other ones, so you might need fairly good conditions to be able to get up. Other entances seem to be more approachable. However, some good views open up very quickly.
Love the peacefulness of a wild space in the city. However we find the path at rest and be thankful very difficult as it is often very muddy and difficult to manoeuvre. It would benefit from some gentle inprovement
A wee wander to stretch the legs. The walled garden then up to the tower at the top. Always thankful to have this on our doorstep.

Nice little walk and easy to find. Plenty of on street parking. Area was clean, tidy and not too busy

Just the right wall to entrance ratio to not be too flashy, and the abundance of trees and greenery lets you know what you're in for. More trees and greenery.
Also the bivowaks in this forrest are far superior to those in other Edinburgh woods.

Nice 1-2 hr hike , very close to holiday Inn hotel or Edinburgh zoo
Nice reserve for woods. Pity, people don't respect surroundings and nature and leave tones of trash and mess. Anyway I have enjoyed a walk watching birds and landscapes. Installing some litter boxes might could have helped, but it is impossible to put it to every bush. So best way just educate ourselves to respect our surroundings.
