Awesome park for kids. There's a splash pad, playground, wading pool, and picnic tables. The wading pool is large and goes up to 2 feet deep with lifeguards on duty. There are multiple benches surrounding the wading pool. Restrooms and a rinse-off station are present too.
I have been coming to Castle Island for the past 10 years, and it's a pleasure every single time. It's amazing how the site is kept clean and maintained. Either for riding, picnicking walking, or just to enjoy nature, Castle Island is my family's favorite destination. There's a playground on site. There are plenty of sites to picnic. It's a very dog friendly place, and the bathrooms, at least the ladies' ones, are kept clean. A hug high five to the drc team! They're doing a fantastic job!
Beautiful fort in a park. It is gorgeous! There are great places to watch the airplanes come in and out of the airport. There are plenty of places to sit. They even have a restaurant. I strongly recommend a visit
Big parking lot and river bank are the only good things. The playground and the splash pad are small and get quickly overcrowded, with big kids pushing little ones. No shade or cover, kids get roasted on the sun.
Great place for lids and families. Additional pool is also open 10 am - 6 pm

First time there last Sunday. I loveeeed the place. Beautiful scenery and it reminded me of El Morro in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Nice place to walk with the family or go fishing.
Definitely enjoyed this beach, definitely a great beach to go to, a lot of parking, a lot of restroom room areas. Love the trail area, walked the entire island, playground location for the kids, shade area, picnic tables. Clean.

I love walking around Castle Island. Watching the planes land or take off. The ferries & large cargo ships come & go. Not to mention Sullivan’s for yummy clams.
Amazing location with beautiful ocean and sunset views. Good nearby seafood restaurants, plenty of free parking. Place is clean and well maintained.
Had some extra time to kill on a layover, so I stopped here. The weather was great, and the temps were perfect. Fort Independence, unfortunately, however, wasn't open as it is only open for the summer months, which I felt was a shame! I did take the walk all the way around that cove, which is a nice walk. There are plenty of grassy areas to relax and playgrounds for the kiddos. There were also on-site free restrooms. The parking situation seemed a cluster, though!
The trail is historic and very calming with the river running next to it. As I walk along I can feel at peace with self and stress was immediately lifted when I near the water. It's also known to go biking along the factory down by the trolley. I can recommend this to anyone up for a scenic walk or bike ride.

Temperature was the only good thing about this river. The taste was salty, this is possibly from my sweat but the salt was so overwhelming it couldn't have just been my sweat. Along with the saltiness, the taste was just foul in general. The texture was bad, I felt it in my mouth for 15 minutes. It felt like a film was covering my entire mouth, with undertones of extreme nausea. DISGUSTING! DO NOT DRINK THIS RIVER!!!
A viewing tower to see the salt marsh and some lovely Fall colours. A great place for plane spotting as it's under the approach to Logan airport.

A lovely place to stroll. The salt-water marsh is completely different terrain than just a few miles away. It's a nice place to go for a walk and spot wildlife.

The Blue Line I was riding back from Revere went out of service at Orient Heights and the shuttle busses were taking way too long to help, so I stumbled across Belle Isle Marsh and couldn't have been more pleased!
Short trail but very scenic with several terrain changes. There are two major street crossings but one has a light so it's very safe. Mostly flat but there is a slight elevation going over the bridge over the tracks just before Mattapan square.
Quiet, nice footpath to walk or run, playground and kiddie pool
such an easy place to bring your kids on a nice hot or warm day. there’s a pool, playground and trail with so many different routes so bring good shoes and a bike or scooter. i wish the pool hours were more specific because it came absolutely be confusing. i love the set up. it’s not too big or too small and it’s like a upgraded splash pad. it’s really cool. there’s also a basketball court across from the playground which is super cool.
Wonderful trail, for walking or biking. Smooth pavement, flat. Colorful murals on walls, nice parks and playgrounds, too. Going from Ryan’s playground to the east is best. To the west is more along roads and not as nice.
When you get in from the street, take the left turn. Then ride until you reach the Dorchester harbor walk. Enjoy the scenic views along the way. Then keep riding until it's about to get dark. Then head back because your can't park there after sunset. Then remember to thank me.
A unique public wading pool for children in the Boston area. Plenty of parking and good facilities nearby including a recently renovated playground.
This is one of the best bike trails in Boston area, I have been biking around MA, this is one of my favorites, the other two are both in Cape Cod, Shining Sea Bikeway and Cape Cod Rail Trail. If you don't want to drive for one and a half hours to Cape Cod, this one is perfect for you.
Beautiful place in east Boston. Easy fun trails with well placed picnic tables. Just go in the cooler months or cover up as the mosquitoes are unreal.
Big playground in the park near the Charles River. Has 2 splash fountains territories for the kids. One with the small pool is closed. There is a big free parking, restrooms, tables, benches. The playground is diverse and has a zone for small kids and older kids. We enjoyed this place.

This is a fantastic bike path! If you never have, you need to. Fantastic scenery, along the water. superb.
A gem! Lifeguards do a great job, nice mix of shade and sun.

Nice place to relax and see Jehovah God's beautiful creation. There's a bike path and or you can paddle board and or kayak.
Love bringing food to have a picnic and take in the city sights and people watching!
