Went for Sunday lunch. Fantastic ingredients, generous portion sizes and the cooking is very clever- clearly the kitchen staff have talent and imagination. The front of house staff displayed the service levels you rarely see any more - front of house done well is a real skill.

We had an exceptional lunch for our friend’s 50th birthday celebration yesterday. The venue is beautiful, the food was delicious and well presented and there was lots of it. The service was excellent, always somebody there when we needed something but we did not feel rushed at all. The wait between courses was perfect and meant that lunch lasted around three hours. I’m so sorry that I didn’t know our waiter’s name but he had recently moved to the UK from Doha…his service was faultless! Thoroughly recommend and we’ll definitely be back.

Staff are amazing and very attentive without being intrusive. The spa is OK but showing signs of age. There was a huge cobweb hanging from the chandelier in the main restaurant which, for a 5 star hotel, was unsightly. The suite was comfortable although the heating didn't work so a bit chilly and needed more tea bags and milk in the fridge! (Although the staff promptly provided more when asked) Overall in places the decor is a little tired but the staff make up for it so I would recommend.

The hotel was very easy to find off the A34. It was a lovely place. The rooms were very comfortable.
The service in the bar was a bit slow. At one point, it felt like we were invisible, as other guests were still being served.
In the restaurant, the food was excellent & the wine tree was definitely worth having.
The best bit was the treatment rooms. We had a full 2.5hr body massage, with head, facial, feet, etc. It was the best. We never used the pool, so we can't comment on that. Would definitely recommend the treatments.
Would visit again.

We went to the Catch pavillion to have lunch as we love seafood but couldn't resist a sneaky peak whilst going to the toilet! What a lovely place. The staff are super friendly as we quizzed them about staying there. One of the staff gave us a brochure and even emailed some deals. We didn't view any rooms but the entrance is super impressive. The house 33000 bottles of wine there in the cellars and it's just beautiful in the reception area. Definitely going to save a break there! Absolutely gorgeous.
Relaxing surroundings with a beautiful lawn, perfect for drinks in the sun. Restaurant classic, dinner was faultless. The rooms are spacious and quiet with big comfy beds. Spa treatment (massage/facial) was fantastic.

Lots of lovely staff and the service was generally great although check in/arrival was not particularly welcoming, and drinks service on the lawn a little slow.

We've stayed a few times over the years and will definitely be back.
Highly recommended. Rooms are working and a little dated, but large and comfortable. Service was excellent and as yours expect the wine selection simply outstanding. Food in restaurant was stunning and wine flight highly worth trying if you enjoy a glass or two (three) with your meal. World recommend and stay there again if opportunity arises.

Had an excellent stay at this hotel. Rooms were comfy, the spa is nice and they have excellent dining facilities on site especially for dinner. The customer service is top notch. New restaurant manager Joe and his team were exceptional and really looked after us. Nothing was too tall of an ask for them (especially Joe himself) and the service was personable and attentive. Would stay here again and would recommend to anyone looking for a break away with high end food and wine choices.
