Great, great, great experience - I would give more than five stars if I could!
The person at the reception desk (unfortunately, I did not catch their name), was very welcoming and personable. They really set the scene for a great, relaxing experience.
I got the Healer 80 massage with Fresh Eyes and Herbal Heat Therapy add ons. My therapist was Maki, who was absolutely incredible. I didn’t realize how tight and honestly painful my body had been feeling until Maki worked her magic. By the time I left, I felt like a zen cloud - days later, my body still feels better than it has ever felt before!
Both add ons I got were amazing, but the Fresh Eyes was my favorite BY FAR. It felt SO relaxing and luxurious to be getting a massage with the eye mask on while listening to the ocean waves music they play in the background. Herbal heat therapy was also amazing (and I consider it a must have for myself), but trust me, DO NOT SKIP Fresh Eyes.
I will definitely be back (and am seriously considering one of their memberships so I can come on a monthly basis!).

Austyn has such a gentle touch and truly cares for her patients. She thoroughly explains the procedure(s) and answers any questions without pushing you into anything you don't need for a natural, refreshed look! I have gotten Botox and PRP treatments. Also shout-out to Amanda for doing my bbl, moxie and all skin lasers! She's so sweet and knowledgeable.
If you’re considering going to Vanessa - this is your sign. Vanessa is the absolute BEST! I can’t express how much she has drastically helped my confidence through botox and filler that both still make me look so natural. I get compliments from people all the time nowadays. Vanessa is so insightful, gentle, and will work with what you want, while also being honest if you’re asking to look unnatural. I can’t recommend her enough, I keep telling all my friends to go to her. Thank you Vanessa for making me feel my most beautiful!

Every time I come in I am transported to a tropical serene island where I can forget about world and its stresses. Dr. Nicks skills are unmatched. His voice is soothing. I got my first Glo2facial and had the best results from Cathy! She did a fantastic job accommodating me with using only sensitive safe products. Cathy really takes her time in explaining everything that she does so you feel comfortable. Highly recommend booking with her at SpaDerma in Lincoln Park. I am very pleased with the treatment of facial dark spots by aesthetician Fred @ Vitahl. He is very open about what to expect and is very knowledgeable about the various treatments. Customer service at Vitahl is top-notch. I felt very comfortable and plan to return.
Jenise is a true aesthetics angel. My adult acne was sooooo so bad and she brought me back to life clearing and brightening my skin. She is so knowledgeable in so many areas of skincare and carries the best products. She will never sell you anything you don’t need. Now we are doing the Green Sea Peel and I’m obsessed with my results. Whenever I see her I feel like it is the ultimate self care experience.
Excellent service from Angela. Strong and professional. Able to really concentrate and focus on pain removal and overall relaxation techniques. Highly recommend. Tip her well because she deserves it. The other ladies here are also very good.
Positively speaking I like the atmosphere of this location and feel that the front desk staff is very friendly and welcoming. As far as massages, I am certain there are good massage therapists here as there are very positive reviews however the last 3 massages I have had by different therapists have been either bad or fair, none have been great. I have had a lot of massages and I just haven’t felt like the technique has been very good and I haven’t left feeling any better, despite the expense. I also feel like you can frequently hear a lot of noise from other rooms, which isn’t very relaxing. I’d like to keep going here as I love massages and there is often availability but I keep hoping for a better experience and am left a little disappointed.
Really great place -- a relaxing and rejuvenating escape. I went once and knew I'd be back frequently, so became a member for lower rates. Lobby staff is friendly, welcoming and professional and the massage professionals take their work seriously. Shelley does particularly fantastic work. She has great intuition as to appropriate pressure and attentively addresses any issues you may bring up in the pre-massage conversation.
Go see Cathy at SpaDerma in Lincoln park! She’s my go-to for all laser needs. As someone who has a low pain tolerance Cathy makes it easy and comfortable for me. I highly recommend booking with her for any of your skincare needs.

Best massage ever! We drive almost 2hrs a couple times a month to this amazing spa! June, Lydia, Annie and Angel are all amazing with deep tissue or any pressure you ask for. They always make sure pressure is good and you feel wonderful when leaving!! Don’t pass them up, this review is long overdue we’ve been going here for over a year now
I’m giving this one star for the ambiance because I truly do love it. But I have two complaints: they are so sales focused here and it’s a $20 upgrade for deep tissue massage. They ask what pressure you want before they start, and if you say anything above light they upsell you and say you have to pay extra for that. And if you don’t pay $20 they will give you a very gentle massage on purpose. So if you really want them to work on your tension whatsoever, be prepared to pay $20 more than the quoted cost which is so annoying because their massages are already more expensive than most places. The second complaint is kind of odd but I’ve been to at least 5 different masseuses at this chain and they all do this head/neck massage thing with lotion on their hands and it gets so much in your hair that you immediately need to go home and shampoo. Even when I’ve asked them not to because I just washed my hair they still do it. I’ve never experienced that at any other massage business so it must be part of their training which is so strange lol

A gem! A wonderful deep tissue massage with professionalism and care.
Went here for the first time and it will be my last. Massage was good just a little too much pressure kinda sore now. The reception lady basically forces you to tip and got mad when the tip wasn’t what they recommended. Like dude I already paid $100 plus for the service so if someone doesn’t tip why get aggressive?… had potential to be my massage place but they ruined it.
I wanted to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude for the incredible massage Lilia gave me. It was truly one of the most relaxing experiences I’ve ever had. Her skillful touch and attention to detail made me feel completely rejuvenated and at peace.

This was my first time at The Now and I have nothing but great things to say about it. The option to book last minute as well as the add on options were amazing. My massage therapist was Diedra and she did a wonderful job. I had an injury and she was able to work around it and make the whole experience enjoyable from start to finish. Will be back!
My experience with Madeline is always excellent. She gives reasonable product and treatment recommendations that fit my budget. She also knows when I want to relax and when I need an awesome venting session! Highly recommend.

Awful customer service. I purchased a 90 minute couples massage, when we got there the receptionist was rushing us in and asked if we wanted the stress massage, I asked if there's a difference from the 90 minute, she said hot stones but it wasn't an extra charge so I said ok. The massage was good but they only gave a 70 minute massage. I said this to the receptionist who started to argue with me, telling me I was wrong even though my partner heard her say the same about no difference, the receptionist started to yell at us about leaving a tip, which we had done seconds beforehand, but then eventually said she would add 20 minutes to the next massage. Not even 2 minutes after leaving, I turned my phone off of silent, I had 2 missed calls from the receptionist and she called a third time that I picked up, she continued to yell at me that I did not listen to her. What's the point of calling to yell at me? Please change your customer service approach, it was awful
I am absolutely hooked on the hydrafacials with Cathy! It has minimized my pores and blackheads and leaves my skin glowing and plump. I have received so many compliments on my skin since working with Cathy. She has really helped me step up my skincare regime, which she personally curated. I love it here! I've had three different people and they are all incredible - extremely tailored to the massage you need and educated to understand what your body/muscle are telling them. I have the monthly membership now and enjoy coming in every time. They play ocean waves and the vibe is so calming. Would highly recommend if you're looking for a massage (and well-priced!).
I've been going to The NOW Massage since May 2023 and have a monthly membership. My favorite therapist is Nic S. He's very professional and as a woman I feel grateful that he's very careful with moving the sheets and making sure I'm covered/have privacy when I turn over. His technique allows him to give deep massages that are simultaneously wonderfully relaxing, not painful. I appreciate that he always checks in with what I'm looking for that day, and actually makes adjustments based on my requests rather than just give the same sequence every time.
As for the studio itself, it's always clean the staff is always greets me with an offering of water. I LOVE the sound of waves they play over the speakers, it really helps me let go of thoughts and transports me away. Finally it's nice that they offer add-ons. I personally like the herbal heat pad, the calm balm, and the scalp renewal. It can get pricey, but I think the ambiance, professionalism, and consistent quality is worth the price.

I love all of the options at The Now! The variety of healers, enhancements, and time always make the experience feel unique. I'm usually a last minute person and the experience guides up front are always so good at getting me in Asap if I need a quick 25, but lets be honest the 80 minutes are a monthly must. I definitely recommend Lilia for a continuous steady pressure! 😊 Tom is my go to for scalp renewal. 🫶🙌

I rarely write Google reviews, but I’m honored to do so for Stephanie R. and NOW massage. I came to her with back, shoulder, and neck pain, and in the first session, she was able to pinpoint a rotator cuff issue (that I didn’t know about) and provide an incredible amount of relief. I left feeling so relaxed. I now see her once a month and sing her praises to friends. Through a combination of massage, and her advice on stretching and posture, my pain and range of motion have improved a great deal. The facility itself is also very professional, private, and considerate. So, so grateful. <3
I absolutely loved this place. I booked a Valentine's Day couples massage with a Groupon (for full deep-tissue massage, foot massage, and foot soak/scrub). Their staff was very attentive, asked about our goals/where we were having any pain, took us in for our massage right away, and tailored the experience perfectly. Amazing value and customer service—I would highly recommend this to anyone in the Chicago area!
If you've been considering joining a fitness center, I recommend Planet Fitness. The club is always clean, and the price is great. I have the Black Card (it's $25/month) which allows me to use the spa features (body enhancement, tanning beds, massage chairs and hydromassage beds), bring a friend at any time, and use every other planet fitness location I wish. I also love the staff at my home club. They always empower the members upon entering the facility and as they leave. It is truly the best place to work out.

Very friendly staff! The office is super cute and clean and all the gals there were so sweet and talkative. I only took a star away because I got dao Botox, which I have gotten before successfully from other locations, and I did not experience or feel any numbness at all and saw no difference in the treated area, which was disappointing. It was especially strange to not feel ANYTHING different, haha. Maybe it was a bad batch? They also didn’t accept my alle coupon because they said I had to spend more for the coupon to be effective. I ended up calling alle customer support so I could know what the amount was so I don’t face this issue again, and they said it can be accepted for any price of service. So that was disappointing to, but maybe individual practices can make their own rules about that. I probably won’t go back here for those two reasons. But otherwise, the workers are so lovely and seem knowledgeable and listened to what I wanted. No bad feelings at all!
Got underarm botox here last month and loved it! Meg was super accommodating and walked me through the entire process. She made me feel at ease while giving the injections and it was over quicker than expected. Will def be going back to her when I need it again.
The staff was very friendly and the massage was great, but the masseuse was coughing my entire massage and the steam room was broken. Wasn't the most relaxing experience, but I still felt great after. I think I just got unlucky with the day I went.

I am an out of shape actor who has to get back in shape for two film projects. Both casting directors said I had to lose weight for my role. So, I was looking for a gym where I felt comfortable with being out of shape while getting back into shape. I found a home at Planet Fitness. The staff is great and the members are in their zone so you don't have to worry about any disapproving looks.
Why am I Paying full price membership for this location that clearly gets old equipment that doesn’t even work half of the time. Also, the beverages have been low stock for almost 2 months, and now looks like this?? I can’t even buy a water bottle at a gym? I doubt the water fountains are cleaned. Horrible. How has nothing been done about this?
I've been working out at this PF for almost a year now. As someone who didn't enjoy working out because I felt uncomfortable in a gym setting - this gym creates a positive, non-judgmental environment. The equipment is always clean and the staff is very friendly.
Posting for my 18 yo son: I've always been self conscious about my sweaty hands and fingers. After trying some lotions that really didn't work, I talked to Vitahl and they suggested botox injections.Meg did the injections and it wasn't bad at all! They worked instantly and now I'm not nervous to shake hands with anyone. I'm so happy with the results.
had the most amazing massage and facial here—been to a lot of places around the city and this was hands down the best! the massage was relaxing and felt long she was super. the facial was also very well done. it’s expensive but it’s worth every penny!
Downside - it's always busy and it's kind of small (but it's a great gym for beginners). Upside - the staff is super nice and keeps the gym super clean. No kidding - the walk around with dusters cleaning equipment. Overall, it's a great gym with basic equipment for beginners. It is also a great place for gym veterans, because if you know what you are doing, you can get an awesome workout even with beginner equipment 💗

This spa would be good if you are in town staying at the hotel, but I don’t feel like this is a destination spa. For the price, and compared to other luxury spas, these facilities really didn’t impress me. I prefer a place with a dim relaxing vibe, lower lighting, and a little more space.
They have a sauna, steam room, whirlpool, waiting room and shower room. The sauna and steam room and really small, if there are two people in there you don’t want to go in. There is no real relaxation space, the waiting room for the appointments is maybe 6-7 long lounge chairs and they all face each other in a circle so it is kinda awkward and not that relaxing. It’s also where everyone just sits until they are called back, there’s no other place to sit and relax.

I love it here, I have been with this loc for over 3 yrs, the staff is very helpful they always try to fit me in for appointments when I call. I just had a facial for the first time and I loved it. I definitely will be using my massage therapist Andrea more often than in the past.
The staff here are prompt, friendly, and courteous. I had a massage with Bart yesterday and I left feeling relaxed, refreshed, and with less neck tension. He offers medium to firm pressure and will add stretching to your service if you’d find it helpful.

This is my favorite spa in Chicago as far as amenities, ambience, and service. I will say I’ve had phenomenal massages but I have had a few that weren’t the best. Of course massage is all relative as everyone’s preferences are different. I definitely am a forever customer.
The Spa at the Waldorf is a great facility and one of the nicer spas in Chicago. The massage was a deep tissue one and the therapist really did exactly that - which was awesome. Nice whirlpool and steam and sauna too altho the steam was a bit too hot for anyone there. But overall would highly recommend.
Elena and Melissa are amazing therapists, some of the best I’ve ever had! Highly recommend this place. Also Meqai and Dajah at the front desk are phenomenal and so pleasant!!!! Just put you in a good mood. Great place!!
Incredibly lazy staff with terrible sense of service. I went in for a 60 min facial at 5:30. Begun at 5:45 and got done at 6:22.. mediocre and highly irritating products that are haphazardly smeared on and off your face. Definitely go anywhere else for a facial.

A great spa all around. After flying overseas and back, I was desperate for something to work out the kinks and tension I felt. A signature massage did the trick and then some. Aside from the superb service itself, the entire staff was pleasant and professional from check-in to check-out. I appreciated the tour of the facilities beforehand, which were excellent. The lockers and dressing areas were spacious and clean. The small pool looked inviting, although I didn't get a chance to use it, and I enjoyed the infused water placed throughout. I also was grateful for the vanity amenities, like the hair brushes and hair ties - things that many other places fail to provide. I would gladly return.
Came to VITAHL to see Meg for lip filler and just WOW the treatment went so smooth. She talked to me about my lip goals and she walked me through each step and checked in on me each time she placed product to make sure I was comfortable. Now a few weeks later I am enjoying my perfect pout and will be planning to come back for more treatments with Meg!
Excellent gym. So many good things to share I don’t know where to begin. Huge parking lot, big plus! Walk in the door and the staff greets you and by name-wow! Table in the front has spray bottles to use while you workout. In the days of Covid this is much appreciated. The equipment is well maintained, in good working order. The club is exceptionally clean, staff is always present on the floor. Another huge plus! Massage equipment is a great way to finish your workout. Bottom line “Great Club” but the staff is the major HIT!!

I went to Jenise for my first ever facial and it was INCREDIBLE! I want to start off by saying that I generally don’t trust anyone when it comes to my face, I get anxious at just the thought of someone touching it and even have a hard time getting my eyebrows done. Jenise was super thorough and explained the science behind what she would be doing with a step by step breakdown so that I would be aware of what the service would entail. By the time I laid down, I was relaxed and ready which was amazing. By the end of it, I left feeling (maybe even looking) 10 years younger. I enjoyed it so much, the time flew by! Don’t even think about it, just book the service you’re needing because you’re going to LOVE IT. I really can’t wait for my next one! Jenise, you are the best!

I have such a pleasant experience every time I go here! I've seen both Rachel and Dr. Patel, both are great, I really trust them. I appreciate their honesty in never pushing extra product on me. They are both incredibly friendly, but what's more is that I can tell they really take pride in what they do, and I appreciate that for someone who is responsible for my face :) the desk staff is always super friendly and helpful in rescheduling, and the place is super clean. Great place, so glad they are here in the West Loop!
Amazing massage. Went for date night with my boyfriend and we were given a private room and the most amazing massage ever. Had used Groupon but not followed the appointment making process properly but they were so accommodating and accepted the Groupon. The essential oils smelt amazing and the hot stones felt soothing. Those were the most relaxing 90 minutes I’ve had in a long while. Was sad when it was all over cause those ladies did an awesome massage. Will definitely be back!
I have tried to cancel my membership for 4 weeks. I’ve called multiple times and left messages to speak with the manager (they are the only ones able to cancel). I have not heard back. There is no way to reach out to the corporate office or the owner for assistance. Essentially, you are held hostage in a subscription if you want to cancel. Not only is this fraudulent but reportable to the Federal Trade Commission. Beware to potential customers - signing up is easy but canceling is a nightmare.
This Planet Fitness is always clean. I see the very pleasant staff constantly cleaning equipment, floors and locker rooms. Today I saw a 3 person crew move through the entire gym. One person tilted the machines so that the others could clean underneath the machines, one person vacuumed , one person mopped. Other times I have seen one person crews wiping down all the machines from top to bottom. Paper towels and spray disinfectant are available and plentiful. The gym has equipment that suits my full body workouts. The price is right. The staff are pleasant

This was my 1st time getting my legs waxed. The pain was not as bad as I thought, and the young lady was very nice. However, I didn't leave with smooth legs as I thought. There's still a lot of hair stubble to the point I have a strong urge to shave, but I'ma hold out to see how it goes a 2nd time.
So sweet & nice. Wax didn’t hurt that bad & takes her time.
The staff were very professional. Ada could pinpoint pressure over all the tight spots in my shoulders. I like a massage that is almost painful but that gets out all the knots, and that is exactly what I got when I requested more pressure. I feel like the pricing is very fair and I will definitely be going back and will be sending some friends here too. It's a no-frills place but I felt very comfortable and everything was very clean.
It was definitely a good experience! The decoration and setting are very comfortable. All the people in the shop are very polite and professional, and the girl at the front desk is enthusiastic and patient. Massage was amazing！The technique is very professional, let my body relax a lot, feel all the fatigue disappeared! I highly recommend everyone to try it!

This place is a great functional massage place, with very skilled masseuses. If you have ever had a massage in Thailand or Asia it is identical. Very clean and the pricing makes it way more accessible when you need it instead of going to the four seasons, soho, langham,etc. Yin and Ada are both very good. Highly recommend! You will be completely relaxed and feel great after.

I was very pleased with the confidence I felt getting on and off the table, because I am a plus sized woman the sturdiness of furniture is very important to me. The space is small but it is very clean and decorated tastefully. I received a facial which included a face massage and the removal of some blackheads, the experience was great. My skin felt so good that I purchased the turmeric soap, a moisturizer and serum to hold me until my next visit.

I thoroughly enjoyed my facial treatment with extractions today! Jenise took the time to get to know pertinent health history, current skincare, and needs. I felt welcomed and relaxed, which is just what I needed after my work day and city traffic. It was all worth it. Excited to start my new skin care regimen!
I started going to Jenise when I was 3 months pregnant with my son, and I have never looked back! The attention she gives to her clients is something that is rare to find. If she knows you are sick or it is cold outside, she makes you tea. The atmosphere of her shop reflects her personality, it is warm, fun and personable. You don't have to deal with people in the waiting room, and she books appointments carefully so that she does not rush what she is doing. Hands down the best place to go for waxing and facials.
Jenise is absolutely amazing! From the moment you walk into the beautifully decorated salon to the moment you leave you just know that you are in good hands. She goes above and beyond to customize the experience to give her clients exactly what it is they need. She is always able to answer any questions I have about my skin or the way I care for my skin.
