You leave the Peace Garden with more love and introspection than before you arrived. The creativity and storytelling is A1.

Visited 4/1/24 around 6pm. Passed one other family while there. Very eclectic, as well as a journey for the eyes and spirit. I was expecting something similar to traditional garden, however I think we visited a little late in the day and early in the year. From what I could tell this is a memorial, a multifaceted, uniting of community, and a piece of God's earth where you can help by getting your hands dirty planting/weeding or taking home some of His glorious bounty (please donate if you do).

Peace Garden was different, to say the least. We arrived early evening. All was quiet, small garden patches that produce food line the paths that meander through different venues, areas of The most striking part is the art made from discarded junk, (not my cup of tea). Yet some will find it very worthwhile. Certainly, someone with a creative mind lived here. They also sell bedding plants.

What a beautiful, thoughtful, and healing place! We brought our group of elementary age Math Leaders to learn about local history, to explore art and appreciate the connection between art, math, and history. We had the best time and could not recommend it more. This is a must-visit for locals and newcomers alike!!

Came for a community plant sale and was amazed I had never heard of this little gem. A community garden and artist, urban area that supports conscious learning and growth in a variety of ways like inclusiveness and sustainability. So cool! Stop by anytime they say!

My plant babies are going to be happy in my fairy garden! 🧚‍♀️🌿🙌🏼✨💖

Eye opening, educational, tugs at your heart to see the truth of how hate has been ingrained into every aspect of American society against black people as if it was their fault. Taught us a few things as well. Left off counting the days until we can return to spend more time and really take it all in. Tomatoes were delicious.

So much to see here, black centric art, history artwork and information. There's even a compostable toilet which is really clean and well maintained.

There was so much to see that we didn't even see all of it.

We also bought 2 plants from their plant sale (honor system, you pay in the donation box).

I am so glad we found this site and visited
