Percy & Ella Heron worked for years to get an abandoned lot designated a community garden. The Herons have passed and their house has been demolished to make way for a new 2-family house on their lot. The community garden they built is still used by the community to host non-profit outdoor events and weekend activities by neighbors and activities for kids.
