My loving husband introduced me to this spot, and I’ve tried the soul food plates when the first time it was worth it. It came with a juicy fresh turkey leg, dressing, baked Mac and cheese, greens, and yams. Since I been going back to get the same Sunday dinner it’s no longer the same. The bag leaked with watery juice I guess that should been the gravy for the dressing. I was given smoked Turkey leg this time, the Mac and cheese was just thrown on the plate and not cooked like homemade anymore. Then this time I purchased two turkey burgers on buns with home made fries which the fries were spot on but as I was leaving the lady behind the counter commented on everyone that came in as a client that she hoped that they lost their keys to either their home or business. She should be terminated because she’s bad for business this place is a nice place to go for different dishes but her customer service won’t have us returning until she’s gone. I don’t know what happened to the nice black lady that always welcomes customers with a smile that was in there at first. She was the reason I went in there to talk with her. I enjoyed her customer service skills. The food was better than when she was there too.

Got the spaghetti.. it’s pretty decent 7/10, the ladies gave nice service

I was looking for a soul food restaurant and saw your picture. The entrance in the picture is dirty it looks
uninviting. If the outside is unclear what does it say about the inside? I won't be coming in.

These people are too damn slow. I had to call over 3 times just for the guy to deliver a correct message. The worst customer service I ever had in my life. I just wasted my time. They need to move fast. How I really feel I’m not gonna post! They need to take business classes or something.

Ms. Jones was welcoming and pleasant, and this place came highly recommended so I was excited! All I ordered was a Creole chicken dinner with greens and yams, over $25. I get all the way home and open the dish and I have macaroni and cheese instead of greens. I take a bite of the yams, they are not hot. Very disappointed.

I ordered a jerk chicken and asked for thigh and breast and dressing… they gave me dry jerk chicken wings no sauce dry dressing no gravy!! They didn’t answer the phone

This place is a hidden gem…food is absolutely amazing and affordable. I love the chicken breast sliced into strips, Mac and Cheese, fresh fries and collard greens.

If I could give this place zero stars I would, service is terrible! Everyone from the nasty manager, kitchen staff, and the owner! Hours of operation are NEVER consistent, wait times are long which is somewhat understandable , “if the food is fresh” which it’s not….it’s microwaved leftovers, at least that’s what it tastes like, the price and quality of the food was not worth an hour wait! Smothered chicken was very salty, greens were very salty, housemade drinks are nothing but overly sweet koolaid! And to put the icing on the cake they had MICE running in the lobby….MICE as in plural more than 1, when I made mention of it and asked to speak to a manager I was greeted by a not so friendly staff member Shanae, who threw every excuse at me as to why they’re were mice running around, in so many words she just wanted me to leave! I’m NEVER spending another dime in this place and I’m going to encourage anyone who does, so at your own risk!

Jai alone deserves a 5 star rating! Super helpful and informative! Great vibes and energy! Let's get to the food...it is expensive; but the sides were amazing! Very plentiful and flavourful. Now...the dressing...no! Not at all! Mhhhmm mmmh! Very mushy and weird tasting...but the meat, yes! Is it worth trying?! Overall, I would say yes! Street parking only... minimum wait times.

When I tell you this food is good this food is good. I had the Sunday dinner with stuffed turkey, legs and it was worth every dollar. I will be back. Customer service was great.
If you do go, just an FYI it’s cashless.

Everything is delicious! The burger is thick and a welcome change from most restaurants charging a ton for thin and wimpy hamburgers. The jerk chicken wrap is saucy and flavorful. The Philly is always a safe and savory call. Plus, the sandwiches come with fries drenched in a delectable mild sauce. Add the great mission behind the restaurant and it’s a perfect 10

The food was decent. Had the smothered wing, greens and Mac. Mac was good. Greens and wings had way too much salt. Blacks folks already got hypertension, lay off the salt a little and it will be 5 stars. They didn't put my corn muffin in my uber eats order 😤.

I've been ordering for some months now. My absolute fav is the catfish Fillets, always fried perfectly & tasty yum. My better half likes the Cabbage & Pork Chops. You must have a slice of Lemon Cake snd they don't skimp on the slice.

The food was fresh, and I gave it an 8 . I didn't get my drink I paid for even though that was my fault. The server should give you your drink while you wait on your food.. 2 chairs to sit at while you wait. Actually I feel their should be 2 tables with chairs so people can sit and eat there

By me having such a full busy schedule, I searched on line for a soul food restaurant that was open on Thanks Day. I seen and called them to verify if they're open and willing to selI me any available catered dishes. The lady that answered the phone was so polite and placed the owner on the phone who had allowed me to place a catered order at last minute. I ordered Mac, yams, Because they were the only trays available, yet when I arrived, The owner and his family had given me the trays of Mac and yams, and added a tray of dressing and this huge tray of turkey wings. The Mac was so cheesy and perfectly baked, them yams was🔥 I've never had yams with pineapple and wouldn't of tried it, if I had known 😂 But omg they were🔥along with the dressing🔥,and the turkey wings was so huge that it minus as well had been a whole turkey, the meat was seasoned perfectly and tender, sliding off the bone. Omg my family and I were blessed to have found another blessed family that looks out for his customers as he did for us . The food was packaged well ,they assisted me to the vehicle with the trays. I haven't had southern soul food like that in several years. That's some good soul healing food. I truly whole heartedly wish The owner, and his family and restaurant the best of blessed wishes and more success. Thank you for making myself and family have a great Thanksgiving with plenty of good leftovers for the 2&3 huge plates that we ate💯💯 OH and they've also worked with me with the money that I had. Came in based on a recommendation from a friend, restaurant looked clean and staff was friendly, fried chicken was cooked perfectly! I give props where they are due and it was cooked on the spot... However, the greens were DIRTY!!!🤢 I bit some Mac and cheese and then I took a bite of greens and that CRUNCH was undeniable, my feelings were hurt and I was a bit disgusted because I love my vegetables and they're an important part of a meal, next the sweet potatoes had pineapples in it don't like that surprise stuff and what if I was allergic?! I've never had pineapples in my sweet potatoes jus sayin... Mac and cheese was ok even though they put pepper in it...it is what it is I'll come back for the chicken but you can only sell me gritty greens and pineapple sweet potatoes ONCE, lbsaf-

My impression as a first time visitor....The restaurant was bright and very clean, the service was very pleasant and they greeted you as you entered the restaurant. It's a small take- out only set up. I called ahead because what I wanted to try was not on the menu online nor on the walk up menu in the store either. I purchased the "Sunday Dinner" stuffed Turkey leg dinner. I'm thinking it must be a "secret menu" item. It comes with cornbread dressing w/ gravy, greens,candied yams and Mac and cheese. I also got the Jamaican Punch and Peach Tea mixed to drink again it was sweet but not anything particullarly memorable or noteworthy. Honestly the food was really good but not GREAT . The Smoked turkey leg is tender and and the greens were delicious, the yams were sweet but no other distinct flavor was recognized the Mac and Cheese was definitely not baked Mac and cheese it tasted like it was stovetop in a saucy cheesebechamel , the dressing was good but not as savory as I would have expected, it was in my opinion sweet cornbread in flavored broth basically no peppers ,onions or sage. You can eat of this meal 2 times or more or split it with someone. The price is about $30 and you get a nice portion of food. I will not count this establishment out and will try other offerings in the future. I was prompted via a Social Media Ad and I'm not disappointed just not elated.

Sunday Dinner, mid-week from Turkey Chop. It has a succinct menu with items packed with flavour that are both comforting and filling.

The meal is comprised of large turkey leg 🍗, collared greens, mac & cheese, yams, topped with smoked corn bread dressing and smothered in a knockout gravy.

The turkey alone is outstanding; it falls off the bone. All of the sides are delicious. I would say my favourite is a tie between the greens and the mac.

I love this place.
I have always picked up my order, and it's always ready & hot. The turkey burger IS REALLY the BEST!

My food was so delicious I wasn't able to take a picture because I ate it all! I enjoyed it so much I had to come share my experience. I had the turkey burger it was so juicy and big very well seasoned not a frozen patty a hand made burger on a Broche bun. My food was fresh and hot I will be back. Peach cobbler was yummy as well.

I was visiting from out of town. My aunt took me and I had the Turkey wing, dressing, greens and sweet potatoes. I’m picky bout sweet potatoes but when I say EVERYTHING was delicious and seasoned to perfection. I shared with a friend of mine and he called me asking where I got the food. This is definitely a place I’d visit again.

Some of the most tender chicken I have ever tasted. Compared to other chicken sandwiches this has a different and unique sauce/flavor profile. The toppings and bread/bun were all quality ingredients. Fries were also pretty decent. Sadly there is no dining inside.
Overall I was satisfied with the food and its portion size. I would recommend the spot for a quick meal.

We came from Toledo, Oh and thought we would give Turkey Chop a try due to the reviews and buzz. They didn’t disappoint! I got the Honey-Q Turkey Tips with spinach and garlic mash. My husband got the Asian chicken stir fry and daughter got the chicken Alfredo. We dug in as soon as we got in the car and then saved the rest for the hotel room. We will be back for more !

I Love what you guys are trying to do because I come there often. Turkey burgers are usually great. Just too much inconsistency. Fries undercooked and hard to chew chicken tenders. Losing ground to new move in restaurants not even serving "soul food".

The customer service was good. The ladies were professional and the food was ready fast, and the prices were reasonable! And baby, when I tell you they have both regular banana pudding and strawberry banana pudding, it is bomb! It's a yes for me and free parking.

I’m not sure who is back there cooking today but this food is nasty. The mashed potatoes are hard and lumpy. And what’s supposed to be “pepper steak and rice” is POT ROAST and rice. 😒 The string beans are okay.

Dressing a yes, greens a yes, yams mmmmmmm.
Be prepared to wait patiently. Clean, updated atmosphere INSIDE. 19.99 for a turkey leg and two sides was reasonably priced to me. Thank you for the experience today.

Just got this four piece of smoothers chicken with spicy mack and cheese, yam, roll and good greens. Chicken could've been better!!! The peach roll shouldn't cost that much to taste just OK.

First and foremost $hout out to the hostess, $he has an amazing personality and the food the food that comes from this establishment is definitely a experience worth trying. Louisiana Fried Tender Dinner and Double Mac are my go to but I must $ay there is no mistake with the items you try. Disappointed in myself for just find out about them but glad I finally found them!

Hi My Name is Lisa: My Husband and i visited Chicago Food on The Run. We were greeted by a Gentleman name Keuntee . The customer service I Received coming in the door was phenomenal. I explained to Keuntee this was my Husband and I Frist time hear. I was very impress with his extraordinary customer service he sold me . the conversation that we had on the food he took his time he did not rush me it was very well please. My Husband got the Creole style Bake chicken with mac and Broccoli and I order smothered chicken with gravy with candy yams and greens on the side this Food was Awesome just awesome whoever the cook is I take my Hat off to the cook this is really soul food.... this is better than Morris soul food. Attention attention all you people who like to eat like me and try new things and get good customer service this is the place you can also dine in. My Husband and I definitely will be back Keuntee for your customer service and for them shrimps and Grits next on my line.

HANDS DOWN PHENOMENAL!!! Visited Chicago, was craving some southern cookin and they did NOT disappoint!!
The chicken was so juicy, didn’t even need sauce. Red beans and rice, sweet potatoes and Mac n cheese were off the chain.
The staff in the restaurant was so sweet and I would 10/10 recommend.

The best damn turkey burger I had in awhile! I’ve been passing this place for a min as I usually stop At Mabe’s Deli or A&S! This will be my new local spot. Can’t wait to try other items on the menu.
