Very friendly and professional phone assistant. Unfortunately contact with the owner was not as pleasant and was dismissed as not worth their time.

We 100% had used another auction house who openly admitted these items NOT to be their wheelhouse. Unfortunately these are not French antiques, which is their wheelhouse.

You took a look at the list of items and how they were catalogued (very badly- for the above reasons) and made no effort to determine exactly what you were refusing to even consider or look at, instead preferring to believe these boxing collectibles and artwork to be worthless, which actually is not the case.

Catalogued correctly and with provenance they actually do hold value. You very quickly decided as someone else couldn't sell them, neither could you. I’m sure you’ve done some stellar work for other people. I’m truly sorry that the professionalism of your employee did not transfer through to yourself on this occasion.

Or if you were, in fact, that employee I first spoke to then maybe you could actually take some time to phrase yourself better in written form, particularly as deceased estates are already sensitive issues.

I feel my review, and this edit, completely justified based on your reply alone.

Purchased a Beswick ceramic figurine through Bargain Hunt Auctions and then had it shipped to our home in France. Superb service throughout. Packing of the fragile item was perfect. Highly recommended.

Their staff are friendly, incredibly helpful and they are the most organised auction house that I've ever dealt with (and I've dealt with a few). The packaging by the wonderful Jules is a marvel to behold in itself. Each item lovingly and carefully wrapped in “ bombproof “ parcels.
Cheaper and better than so-called professional “packaging and sending” firms.
