Great experience with Leonard Joel auction house. I was a successful online bidder on an auction (I had not seen the items in person) and the items I purchased were exactly how LJ described them. I had a flawless pickup experience, Ella at the front desk was very helpful in finding my purchase and even helped me carry the items to my car. I will definitely bid / purchase with Leonard Joel again.

Good experience. I went in person to the auction and it was seamless and efficient. On this occasion the auction was in the same room as all the goods, so it wasn't possible to pick up on the day. That said pick up and payment a day later was well managed and friendly.

For pre and post online bidding LJ provided excellent advice and service. Their recommended carrier for Sydney to Melbourne, Sherif K Movers , collected my items and packed them safely on the same day from LJ Sydney rooms and delivered to my Melbourne home three days later on a Sunday of a long weekend. Regular text updates keeping me apprised of my consignment right up to delivery. Payment was a simple process. Their quote was also the least expensive.

I was recently lucky to win a piece in a Leonard Joel Sydney auction. Not being based in Sydney, I found the staff incredibly courteous and professional in assisting me with having my piece shipped. The online buying process was easy, and my piece arrived very shortly after the auction, packaged with care. Very positive experience.

I have never had to leave a bad review but this business provides the worst service I have ever come across. Emails and phone calls not returned. Nobody seems to know what’s going on. Would never use them.

I purchased two items from this auction, before purchasing I called to confirm the premium which is been confirmed to be 22% inclusive of tax.
The invoice came with the premium of 22% + 10% of tax.

I called the customer service try to adjust the price, they advise me that is not in their authority and transferred me to the division director.

The director was extremely rude ( some times I don't pronounce name correctly and therefore I always call people darling, I called this women darling, and she said ohh please don't call me darling......I found this a very bad and irresponsible behaviour from a director) then she seem to be ticked off and completely refuse to help me and telling me If I help you with that it will be against the law, I explain for her that I just need her to reduce their commission to 20% instead of 22% as it is not my fault that your staff member advised me that the total premium including tax is 22% in addition when the auction started there was a technical difficulties in the internet and there is no sound while the auctioneer was reading the terms and condition.

The director refused to assist me and I found this is so greedy and unprofessional in dealing with my case. Please think twice before you buying from this auction.
