Top Playgrounds in El Castillo, Costa Rica

Very nice trails. Big one (2h) and small one (20min). We saw toucans, parrots, coatis and monkeys. With the big one you cross a cool lava field and have a nice view on the lake and the volcano. With 10$ a very good price in comparison to other activities in Costa Rica. Recommended!

Beautiful trail where you get to see the lava rocks and view Arenal volcano. We saw spider monkeys and white faced capuchins while walking the trail too! Way cheaper than other places near Arenal and much less crowded- we were the only people on the trail! Would recommend

Very beautiful trail! Less touristy than other areas, had the the whole track to ourselves. Admission was cheap compared to other areas around Arenal, we paid $12 USD per person when we booked through Home Vacations whose property we were staying at. The staff at the reception were very kind and knowledgeable and explained the different sights we would see, including old lava flows and land slides. We saw spider monkeys and capuchin monkeys during our walk, and got a fantastic view of the Arenal volcano.
