This is a spacious, well-shaded neighborhood park. They have a toddler jungle gym and a much larger series of climbers-slides suitable for kids up to 10 years old. Lots of happy kids playing on the weekend.
Cons- There is a FILTHY port a potty (worse than most) adjacent to the tennis courts
Also much of the abandoned toys at the playground are broken and should be recycled/discarded.

A special park with a full canopy providing shade for all. Great for little kids.

Nice midsize zoo, considering the fact that admission is free, I really loved it. Liked the show with sea lions. Also there are some interesting animals like penguins, polar bear. It's little far from downtown, which is a disadvantage if you are staying in hotel near downtown.

Super fun trip for the whole fam. We spent 3 hours to explore EVERYTHING. Love seeing the animals. The seals are cute & fun & love showing off! Happy to donate a lot of money on our visit 😁
Como is a great family outing. It's free, but you can make a donation or sponsor a garden or animal. The animals all seem pretty happy and well taken care of. Plenty of parking and the staff seek very nice, as well.

City Park that is free but as for donations. Great for families. Couples. And individuals.

Regular activities. Including family activities and adult activities.

Music under the glass in the conservatory...
Went on a Monday morning in December. Flowers were in bloom, animals were active and volunteers were many and informative. The sea lion training was interesting and the 5 week old baby giraffe was darling. Very nice zoo with lots of upgrades since I was there last. Plenty of parking and no admission fee were the topping on the cake.

I love the zoo and yes we always donate when we go.

It was fun to walk through some of the exhibits too. Yes, all of the poinsettias are out

Been coming to this zoo for 55+ years. Always love to see the animals. The baby giraffe Zinnia was so 🥰 cute! Not as much to see this time of year in December. The weather was nice and we had a good time just walking around the zoo.

Very pretty spot for a fall playground visit. Toys! People have created a collection of construction toys, sand toys, cars, etc. It's awesome. Mix of old and new equipment. Feels like a closer to nature playground. Bigger kid side is sand, but not annoying for some reason, maybe all the leaves help. Little kid side is rubber pad. Nice tennis courts. No bathrooms and don't try Oxendale's, but there's a gas station a few blocks away.
One of the best parks in Minnesota. The zoo is pretty good and kids will love it. The walking/running paths are awesome. The botanical garden with different trees takes your breath away. I highly recommend people to please donate to this place as the staff and management is doing an amazing job of keeping this place clean and neat.

Great neighborhood park. This is the first Park I have ever been to where there are Tonka trucks and dump trucks and other toys that have been donated or left by people who probably live in the neighborhood. We went to the park after eating ice cream at Nelson’s ice cream shop on Snelling Avenue. We had a very nice time with our kids and our grandson.

Nice park! Good selection of activities for kids and it’s nice that it’s not near main roads so it’s quieter.

Stopped by this park on the way back home with Roxy. Cute park with a playground, tennis court, plenty of picnic tables, benches and shade. Just a cute little park.

Great, quiet park in St. Paul offers plenty of green space in the middle of the city, and is very peaceful. Playground, ball field, tennis court; Fitness in the Parks is great here! Wednesday nights at 6pm is a great class!

Update: it seems someone took it upon themselves to remove all of the toys that kids played with. So thanks for taking the charm of this place away.

Old review: This park is known to my kids as the "truck park," because there are a lot of old toys that have been "donated" for general use. (Keep careful track of any toys you bring if you don't want them to join the collection.) The main playground has sand; the smaller one is padded and showing its age. Lots of shade from all the trees.

A hidden gem. Nice newer playground and a ton of room to throw a Frisbee or just let your kids run like crazy. (But please, keep your dog leashed). Tennis courts. Trees. A genteel little park on the site of a long-gone school.

Extremely clean park for all the kids to play on and they have an outhouse just in case the kiddos need a potty break!

I have been here throughout my life and it's always a great place to get a magnificent view of Saint Paul, Or even a great spot to bring the kids.

Beautiful location, but the park is in need of maintenance. The playground was dirty and littered with trash and dog waste. There are benches set up to take advantage of a panoramic view of the St. Paul skyline, but overgrown trees and shrubs have obscured it.
