Many animals to see. It was clean and not crowded. Side note if you want to visit the Zoo cheaply, go first to Park Güell (book your tickets online) and then you will receive 50% discount on the Zoo Tickets
Very good zoo, a lot of animals. It’s big and we were almost alone there, so it’s very nice and cute and in convenient location
I think it’s because of the low season that they have decided to do maintenance works now, but it’s just sad paying pretty high price and jot seeing half the animals (not because they are inside)

Some enclosures are small compared to other zoos in Europe. But overall it's a decent zoo, especially otters' section was really nice. Also, I have detected a common cat sneaks around to steal some food and cuddles.
Visited the zoo in December 2023 for the second time, not too busy, kids enjoyed all the animals. The most interesting part was to discover the parrot which was talking. With 5 kids we stayed about 5 hours in the Zoo. There are 2 playgrounds as well where children also explored. The food in the restaurant was delicious. We took 5 kid's menus which were big enough to satisfy hungry tummies of children aged 5->11.

We couldn't see a few animals especially early in the morning, that's why I'm giving it 4 stars.
The senior tickets are exclusively sold at the entrance, for adults you can buy tickets online but you need to validate them in the entrance too.
I recommend giving it half a day to see everything, and take pictures, especially if you have kids.

We went at the end of October and a lot of exhibits were closed. That was disappointing. But it was clean and really large. You can see the animals up close. I would say if you have the opportunity in the summer you should make arrangements to see it.
Great playground for kids between 1 and 10 and there is a coffee nearby.
Quite a large area to explore. The animals seemed to be in good shape. We went during midday onwards so most animals were pretty passive. Definitely check the penguins out if you can catch them while they are fed. The bird house was really interesting as well. Bigger animals include giraffes, elephants and lions! The seals were the most active, swimming around and one of them being very vocal!
The best ZOO I have visited till now. Very good conditions for animals and for visitors, too. Good restaurant and benches on every corner. During the school day it was perfectly calm.
This was pretty enjoyable. The insect exhibition was great. They had a dung beetle rolling dung from the warthog, needless to say that my little one loved this.
He was also fascinated by the Vultures, which were very interesting.
The cafeteria had a surprisingly good food and was not too expensive considering it was inside a tourist attraction

We went with grandchildren 8,12 & 14 they were all interested for the 4 hours we were there incl. a short stop for lunch which was priced as expected for an attraction. Perhaps take a picnic and water bottle, plenty of picnic benches and taps. Print off zoo map before going. If you have seniors and children aged up to 12 buy tickets on the gate. I hope the gorillas and other animals have larger enclosures soon.
The Zoo is very tired compared to when we visited around 18 years ago. It seems run down with many pens empty and or overgrown. Some very poor condition looking/ unhappy looking animals. No paper maps just QR codes which is too fiddly to keep messing around with one your phone. There are Giraffes and Elephants which are stunning animals so it’s not like there’s nothing to see. Would I recommend? 50/50 as if we don’t go to these places they have no money to improve. If you’re in the City anyway it’s one to tick of.
We had an okay experience at Barcelona Zoo.
The area is extremely large - we were there for over 3 hours. I would say that’s the minimum amount of time needed, especially if you’re looking to see as much as possible.
In terms of animals, there was a fair amount to see, but quite a few closed areas (no tiger, no reptiles, etc), which was a big shame and should be mentioned on the website or app prior to the visit. Of the animals we did see, some looked really crowded and unhappy in their enclosures - certain enclosures were just far too small, which needs to be rectified. On the contrary, others had a lot of space, which just didn’t make sense and felt a little unfair.
Barcelona Zoo offers multiple restaurants and places to go and grab something to eat, which is really nice, but the quality of the food is low. The chips were bland and everything is overpriced in general. I would suggest maybe bringing a picnic instead for a better experience.

Fun place to visit, I would recommend planning 3+ hours to visit the whole place.
Plenty of spaces inside the zoo and it had bicycles inside for you to use.
I liked the insect museum. Great for families too.
Food outside: there is a very nice tapas place nearby that's called Perikete which is just 15 minutes walk away which I highly recommend, (stools type of seating).

Fun, safe. You have a resting green area with clean grass where you can have a picnic, rest or play with your kids. A renting table games area, a playground for kids and restroom and small stall with terrace.
It’s very disappointing if you have an active child 4+ y o.
This playground is right next to the Sagrada familia, a cozy little playground. There are many children here, so there is a bit of a queue for the various play things. Right next to the playground, there is an opportunity to buy food and drink. So if you are a family with children and need a break, I can recommend this playground. 4 stars ☀️☀️☀️☀️

Very disappointing. We expected a much bigger and better park. It's so small, the concierge didn't know it existed. There's no cafe, no toilets. Just chairs and the playground. Yes, you can take games from the park library, but for babies. The slides are cool, bring a jacket to slide on, otherwise it's too hot.
Also, take a taxi. The Diagonal boulevard is in renovations and walking by foot is not too enjoyable

Sauber ordentlich und für jedes Alter etwas dabei. Macht den Besuch noch besser wenn auch das Kind etwas zu tun hat.
This is the most amazing and beautiful zoo that I have ever been to. The last time I went to the zoo in Portland, Oregon - I left so depressed that I didn’t think I could ever go to a zoo again. Fast forward 14 years and here I am in Barcelona.
My 15 year old and I had so much fun! There are so many animals to see. The bird selection is amazing. The bug exhibit was a big highlight for me. It was so well done!
The park is super clean, and I am not talking about just the people areas. The animal exhibits are so well kept, you can see that they are well taken care of and have plenty of space. We really loved seeing the peacocks roaming freely around the park, the first one that we saw made is panic that maybe it had escaped!
We made sure to see every exhibit and it was a true joy to visit this place. Highly recommend!

Tiene 1 tobogán y 2 caballitos.
El tobogán tiene escaleras cómodas pero en cambio la caída final es muy alta.el parque de la ciutadella en el que está es muy grande y está muy bien, pero solo tienen este mísero parque infantil, que además está junto a un merendero lleno de gente lo que genera ruido y tensión por tener que vigilar a tus hijos si son más de 1.
El tobogán tiene escaleras cómodas pero en cambio la caída final es muy alta.el parque de la ciutadella en el que está es muy grande y está muy bien, pero solo tienen este mísero parque infantil, que además está junto a un merendero lleno de gente lo que genera ruido y tensión por tener que vigilar a tus hijos si son más de 1.
Great experience! It's a must-visit place! We spent 3 hours there and enjoyed it very much! It's a very nice zoo, with lots of animals. We also liked the souvenir shop and got lots of souvenirs. Clean bathrooms and lots of venting machines for water and refreshments! Must definitely wear sunscreen and a hat and take breaks to rest under the trees! We wen there on a Saturday (June 25), the line was not long but it's not a bad idea to purchase the tickets online beforehand, to ensure you will not have to wait...the line behind us got pretty long! I highly recommend visiting the zoo!

Parque pequeño con una única estructura de juegos, además tiene una arena particular que imposible no salir empanado. También había un olor desagradable, poca higiene.
A lot of kids every time but we like to visit this location on the weekends.

Cool kids park. Large slides, rubberized surface safe for children. Children are very happy in this park.

Parque pequeño pero en buen estado, cuenta estructuras atractivas para los peques donde pueden explotar y poner en marcha diferentes habilidades. No tiene fuente y las estructuras son de tamaño estándar, para bebés hay un columpio.

Amazing playground if you got an active kid. They will make plenty of exercise going up the hill and then enjoy the ride down the big slide.
Toddlers area is also nice, with audio feedback games.

Great playground after the familia
The playground is small, only one swing and one slide, but the view is very nice and there are a lot of picnic tables around in the shades.
Great park for kids, with amazing view of sagrada familia. There are couple of items for very small kids, but also a bigger tower with bridges for a bit bigger ones.
It's ok! It has got a closed corner for kids with some 'juegos'. Outside is ideal for dogs since it is not paved. There are some banks to rest. It is not a big place. It is not calm since it is sorrounded by streets and residentals.

El paseo de San Juan es un bonito lugar para pasar un buen rato con la familia o amigos, ya que al lado tienen muchos restaurantes y bares.
Está situado en el barrio de Gracia y es muy accesible, porque tiene dos paradas de metro al lado; Joanic y Verdaguer; .
Allí puedes pasear, ya que es una gran avenida con una acera muy ancha, pero también puedes descansar a la sombra de los árboles.
Es un sitio muy recomendable si tienes niños pequeños, ya que hay varios parques infantiles distribuidos por el paseo, y también si te gusta estar tranquilo y ver un poco de arte, ya que hay mucha tranquilidad y algunas esculturas y estatuas.
