Friendly staff who can make ones day with a smile and great coffee in the morning

Very dissapointed by the service. Fount the front counter staff to be cold and unwelcoming. A simple smile and a hello would be great. What I got was 'What can I get you?' with a monotone. Food was delivered to my table. Dropped on the table while looking away. Again no disengagement. Might as well be served by robots. The cutlery caddy on my table lacked any utensils, napkins and was missing the salt. The server didn't ensure if I had cutlery to eat with.

On a positive note, the food was tasty.

Simple, no frills, easy going, good coffee. Great value for your money. It's very popular for coffee all day round. Lots of people go to place for coffee and breakfast catch ups. And one of those places that do not overcharge you and are generous with their coffee. Keep up the good work.

compared to other vibes cafes in the area I was so impressed by the portion size and the generous amount of avocado !! usually cafes can be pretty cheap when it comes to the amount of avocado. so worth the price !!

They have coconut milk (hard to find in Perth for some reason) and their bagels are delicious!

Our wedding dinner in the private dining room was exceptional and was beyond our expectations. The room was decorated by the nearby Fox and Rabbit florist and our additional decorations were unexpectedly arranged also. Food and service was amazing. Highly recommend.

This place showed fully booked online, but a call worked. We were the first to be seated, excellent service, and the Beef Carpaccio was delicious. Arancini and steak were average. A must-try is the Tiramisu – rich in flavor! The atmosphere is fantastic throughout the restaurant. The cocktails and red wine we ordered were smooth and delightful.

Beautiful venue! I strolled past POST early in the morning when visiting Perth for work.

Decent speedy service with a queue. I didn’t try any food, but the iced coffee was made quickly even with a queue ahead of me.

Although fragrant with a good first note, there was an odd sour aftertaste. Subsequent sips were coloured by this sourness.

Recently had our 4 year anniversary dinner here. The staff were friendly and the service was excellent. Loved the interior of the space and the atmosphere. We had 2 arancini which were delicious and probably the standout dish of everything we had. Sirloin was cooked perfectly and had a good flavor. Pasta was maybe a bit undercooked, but the sauce was excellent. We each had a glass of montepulciano that was great. 3 chocolate truffles and a limoncello for dessert. Total was around $215. I would like to go back and try the degustation. Overall, based on this visit and the total price, Post is not my number one go to for Italian.

I come here every time I am in the office. The coffee is amazing and the staff are beautiful, it is a delight to see them and talk to them each day, it is the highlight of my morning.

I do not miss the cash payment options, I think most establishments should be cash-free. Mitigates the risk of robbery and the spread of disease. Plenty of other archaic cash cafes around if you’ve just emerged from your cave.

Visited this amazing coffee shop this morning and the ladies couldn’t have been more attentive! The atmosphere was very calm and the coffee was amazing!! Service was quick and efficient, would definitely visit again🥰

We had an issue with one of our meals but the staff were amazing and very proactive and caring towards us! The manager and our server (sorry don’t remember either of their names) went above and beyond for us and gave us free entrees which we really appreciated! Couldn’t fault the service or food, it was spectacular! Thanks for helping us celebrate our 12 year anniversary! 😊 the beef carpaccio, kingfish crudo and prawn pasta were the star dishes of the night!

The food was great (at least what I ordered). My friend ordered a lavender latte hoping for something purple with a taste of lavender, but it was just a regular latte with some lavender bits on top... kind of underwhelming. I was really happy with my order, though. Loved the little ice bear in my drink, really cute!

Writing this review while still in the restaurant, that’s how good it is! The food is outstanding, just like the service. The staff is super friendly and very on top of it. Thank you to the chefs and FOH for making my

Delicious oat milk prana chai latte with honey. So creamy. Also cute tasty little peanut butter protein ball, something small to start the day. Prompt, friendly and attentive service by the staff.

A bit pricey for such tiny servings and moderately ok-tasting food. My friend and I split the smashed avocado on toast and banoffee crepe between us and for around ~ 30 AUD per head you'd think you'd get a bit more for breakfast. It was an ok meal overall, just wish the servers had been more attentive to our table.

Sharing this for the first time after countless of visits. Mostly here for dinner. Petition is an upscale casual restaurant located inside the State Building in Perth CBD. It has a nice vibe and very popular. They have the best Broccoli & mixed grain salad, ever! The last time we dined here, we ordered chargrilled octopus, beef rump, heirloom carrots salad, broccoli salad, lamb loin and a few others. We enjoyed the food as usual but I must say for the very first time that the lamb loin was a let down. The taste was just not right. I’m sure this will be fixed. I didn’t take any star off because I’ve been here many times. This doesn’t tarnish the restaurant’s reputation in my eyes. Definitely will return to dine for more.

Came here for breakfast, where I had the Big Panda Breakfast with friends who had the Eggs Benedict and the Breakfast Crepe which were all beautifully presented and very tasty and filling.
Our drinks arrived promptly but our food did not so we had to get more beverages to wash down our food with. But they were taking that time to present the food beautifully.
I had the lemon iced tea which was amazing, and took a passionfruit one away with me, that one wasnt as impressive.
Would definitely come back, and try one of their different menu options.

After lunch we then make our way to Gemini Cafe! I'm so excited to indulge in their mouthwatering coffee and dessert. Oh, and you have to see their signature ice coffee with the adorable little bear on top! It's absolutely delightful!

Their degustation is affordable and high quality. Great vibe with exceptional customer service. Food is kinda salty but we rest enjoyed it.
Perfect for a date night with some cocktail or wine.
Love their entrees, delicious and fresh.

Earliest opening cafe in the vicinity with delicious coffee frappe. Breakky burger was small, but adequate with a nice relish.

Lovely service to start with, and Excellent knowledge of specials and Italian wines on offer.
We ordered swordfish crudo and two pastas to share which was plenty for two people. The pasta was Perfection. El dente, flavourful, not heavy at all and I didn't even ask for more parmesan cheese (like I would normally do at other restaurants) since the flavours were already perfect.
Pasta is pricey, but worth the treat on special occasions or when you're craving good quality food.

Great cafe in the city. We enjoyed everything we ate, can't fault anything. Kids were excited about their teddy bear desert.

My first visit to Petition, I had a late Saturday breakfast there. I had shakshuka and a long black coffee. I liked the atmosphere, the taste of the coffee, the warm bread that came with the meal and the dukkah on the egg yolk. Service was polite. A good first impression.

We came here based on an article that promised a delicious brunch and have never been more disappointed... the dirty chai tasted more like dirty dishwater, the almond croissant was about as good as a door stop, you might need a visit to the dentist after trying to bite through that. The chicken sandwich was quite the opposite, wet, floppy and packed full of grease. I had hopes for the chocolate cookie but it seems, that it was made weeks ago and was drier than Gandhi's flip flop. The hot chocolate was bang avarage at best. We left sorely let down, hungry and severely lacking saliva, which only returned with dreams of chu bakery

Enjoyable food in a nice atmosphere with attentive staff and quick service. Their menu seems to change regularly and they offer a wide range of meals, with our small selection being well prepared, at the table within 10 minutes of ordering and of amazing taste.
The only downside is that their breakfast menu ends around 10:30, but that is likely less of an issue for you than it was for us 😉

Delicious pasta, the bisque sauce was so great I tried to mop up every little bit. Cooked to perfection. Tiramisu was awesome but very boozy.

eggs benedict was quite nice but a bit too salty in flavour with the smoked salmon and sauce, and the spinach leaves were also soaked in some salty flavouring I think. defs cannot fault this place on presentation though. avocado smoothie I got was a bit underwhelming in taste for the price I paid, $7.90 (not pictured). turns out chocolate and avocado maybe isn't the best combination even though I like both things😂 the desserts look nice though I think I should try those next time. I saw reviews saying the staff were not good but they were very friendly in my experience.

The staff were nice and friendly from the counter to the waiter.

We ordered egg Benedict for my friend. And I shared rainbow cheese toasty, dreamy bear, mushroom and mango cheese cake between me and 2 kids.

Overall the dessert were nice but we couldn’t managed to finished them.

My kids enjoy the experience there in the cafe so I am highly recommended for the family breakfast and brunch.

It was just an absolute pleasure to enjoy such quality of service, food, wine and knowledge as we experienced at Post, Perth.

What an incredible menu and a special thank-you to the wonderful host who served us so intently, he really made the venue shine.

Went there with my friend gathering.. A chill place to relax, and taste wines and have food together. Most of the foods are better with pairing wines. Amazing Brunch there …

Fabulous osteria for a late lunch. Delicious food and friendly service. Wheelchair and pram friendly. High chair provided. Nearby toilet facility with wheelchair access and baby change table.

One of the few places in Perth that was opened in the afternoon. There are indoor and "outdoor" seatings, the outdoor area is in the foyer of the building which can be a tad loud from the echoes.

We had the swimmer crab risotto and truffle spaghetti with a side of brocollini. All the dishes were full of flavour and generous portion of crabs and truffles. Staff members were professional and friendly, made the occasion enjoyable.

Will visit again next time we venture to Perth.

Food was great, nice list of wines and very good cocktails as well. Hats off to the Chefs and Bartenders.

Basilica is located within east reach of my customers when in Perth and never disappoints.

I’ve been coming here regularly for the past 4 plus years and really enjoy their coffee ☕️ and house made granola - which is difficult to finish as there is plenty, but hard not to finish as it’s so good.

I had morning coffee and a discussion over here and I have to say that the desserts here are beautifully and lovingly decorated and tastes rather lovely, but the coffee was borderline good only. The place looks rather ordinary and industrial and can attract foodies if they had a more comfy style.

Excellent venue with top ambience. The food is absolutely delicious. Recommend you give the gnochi a try it is perfect

Went for my birthday and upon special request had the carousel of desserts offered. Each creation was decadent and beautifully presented! Absolutely love what the pastry chef and the kitchen are doing because the food and desserts taste incredible.
Staff was also accommodating, polite and friendly and provided us with a nice experience. Definitely looking forward to coming back and tasting what other creations they have!

Staffs are really friendly, professional. Our waitress, Tecla, the wine and food she introduced really got my palate.

I consider this up market trattoria-style Italian restaurant to be appropriate for a special occasion, so I went recently to celebrate an anniversary with my partner.
POST is located in the exclusive Treasury Buildings in central Perth, a fairly exclusive address - here a steak main course costs $74, while most of the pasta dishes are around $40 and oysters are $5 each.
My partner’s pasta dish was very heavy on the salt, while my Swimmer-crab risotto, at $36, was creamy and tasty but had rather too much sameness about it by the time I was half-way through eating it. Our wine was $20 and $17 each glass. The desserts were a generous serve of tiramisu and the lemon and pistachio semi-fredo - these were the tastiest course for us both.
Our waiter was excellent and knowledgeable, dishes were brought to our table in good time and were well presented, though not extraordinary. Overall we both felt that POST, whilst providing a pleasant enough dining experience, is over-priced and under-whelming; relying too much on a menu that has barely changed since our previous visit two years ago, and a reputation that seems to be parcelled up with the address.

Had a coffee and snack here the other day. Muffin was nice, coffee was ok. Service was quick, but not a smile in sight from the brunette young lady, approx 25 years old.

Overall ok.

At Petition, the restaurant service shines with its commendable quality. The staff members are attentive and efficient, ensuring a pleasant and smooth dining experience.

However, regrettably, the food fell short of expectations and left me disappointed. The flavors lacked the desired depth and the dishes failed to deliver the anticipated culinary satisfaction.

Overall, while the restaurant service at Petition is praiseworthy, the food aspect leaves something to be desired. Hopefully, the kitchen can work on enhancing the dishes to match the excellence of their service in the future. 😊

My go to coffee and eatery, with amazing place and beautiful awesome people from the Owners' Susy & Michael to the staff Emma & Zoe, their food and the services are top notch, great food, friendly service, the best in the west for ambience, drink, food and quality coffee, great place in the heart of the city, i dont need to go far i just have to get down get my coffee and lunch, Highly recommended them to everyone specially to all my clients!!🙏👌🥰☺🤗

Had a lovely chill breakfast here upon early morning arrival in Perth. Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, recommended a new coffee bean roast that went down clean and smooth (especially for a non-coffee drinker), heated up a satisfying breakfast of chicken pie and ham&cheese croissant. Will be back to try more!

They were able to make a dairy free breakfast burger for me. Really good!

Coffee here is incredible, authentic very Italian espresso. Such fun booths and honestly this cafe reminds me so much of Rome.

I didn’t eat anything so I cannot attest to it but the coffee is good. And they have many cakes and loaves to grab in your wya to work.

Great gluten free vegan toastie! Thank you for stocking a gluten free vegan bread as well as doing vegan options. It can be so difficult to find the combo of the two, even though there are so many people who are both. I really enjoyed my meal, great staff too :)

Super unhappy, unfriendly, dull staff (at least the one that served me). Coffee was average. If Someone wants a good experience in Mary street bakery then make sure to head to the west Leederville branch as the staff there are much more accommodating and their coffee is to die for.

Stumbled across Basilica Open Kitchen when wondering through Perth and looking at the food and the number of people there and thought have to give it a go! It was awesome! Try the smashed pea toast (yes pea... there is avocado also)! Coffee was excellent but a bit of a wait... though waiting for coffee seems to be a Perth thing! Loved this place!!!!

The sister of the famous venue in Mount Lawley and never disappoints. Great atmosphere created by the friendly and speedy staff. Coffee was lush with sizable portions of breakfast, great value for $$. Very busy showing plenty of people putting their trust in these guys for their morning pick me ups. Highly recommend if you're in the city for coffee catch ups and breakfast.

Fried chicken with maple syrup was the highlight where the sweet and savory combination was amazing. Nice ambience, reasonable price and spacious. It is a good place to go stop friends to have a nice brekkie and chill for a bit :)

What a fab place!!!

The coffee is good, the pastries are always a tasty delight - doesn't matter what you buy - and the food is quite adventurous. Our first breakfast here we had the Fried Chicken Buttermilk Pancakes and the Omlette Prawn Nam Jim. The pancakes are a HUGE serving (feels like you get 1/2 a chicken) but tasty and the omlette was cooked to perfection.

Like other reviewers have said, the outdoor seating and central CBD location is great but can get a little windy at times. Love how light and clean this place always is!

The service is pretty good; most of the staff are friendly with a good sense of urgency although we have been served by one or two who are a little nonchalant and even pretentious. This won't stop us from going back though.
