We visited Corner Bakery Maastricht and ordered the American pancakes, French toast, and hot chocolate. While the pancakes and French toast tasted great and were beautifully presented, the hot chocolate was simply warmed-up cocoa, which was a bit disappointing.

The café’s ambiance is lovely, with a cozy and stylish interior. However, the table settings were a bit confusing. While the breakfast beer menus were already on the tables, we had to wait for someone to bring us the café menu after we sat down. It would be more convenient if the café menu was also readily available on each table.

A unique feature of Corner Bakery is the open kitchen, allowing guests to see the preparation process—a nice touch for those who care about cleanliness. The staff, mostly friendly and energetic teens, made the experience warm and welcoming. It seems the café’s popularity has surged, likely due to a viral TikTok video, attracting a young crowd, especially teens.

Having an English menu available was a huge plus for international visitors. Overall, Corner Bakery Maastricht offers tasty food in a cute setting with friendly staff. Great for a fun, casual brunch!

TikTok hype just doesn't cut it. The looks of the food seem to be more important than the taste. The food itself is okay-ish, just not as hyped. Sadly allergy information is not present on the menu nor disclosed by staff. The result is that most stuff is presented on nuts (not great for a lot of people with allergies).

Furthermore, some staff seemed to be really bored/annoyed to have to work. Luckily some staff genuinely seemed to like their work and helped customers.

Great food, as always; well-priced and generous portions. And the staff are friendly and efficient, providing excellent service.
Especially Ivona; I mislaid something when I was there one day and she found it, recognised it as mine, and brought it straight over the next day 😊

It was the worst lunch experience ever..They served a salad that is old..And the food came 45minutes after we order..The owner/manager came explained that i ordered mix salad because i complained how bad the salad is..

First of all the service was not it. They didn’t even notice us sitting down because they were chatting in the kitchen and we had to take the menus ourselves. The food also wasn‘t good and absolutely overpriced. The avocado toast with poached eggs was absolute garbage, the bread was stale, the avocado tasteless and the egg tasted like water and weren‘t cooked long enough. The pancakes also didn‘t taste good and I could barely swallow them, there also wasn’t enough fresh fruit. The iced latte was good though, so I‘ll give them that.

Best place to go to if you want a GOOD breakfast, it was really nice there as soon as you walk in you get seated right away, we got treated with respect and they were very helpful when we had questions (we only speak english) the food was really good I don't understand why other people said that it wasn't good, that it was dry etc it is not its literally perfect the only problem was that the plates are decorated poorly in my opinion, it should be decorated with more fruit to make it more full and so that you have enough fruit. I really recommend this place!

My wife and I got the vegan savory pancakes and the caramel pancakes.

The savory pancakes with the vegan salmon and tomato cream cheese were amazing.

The caramel pancakes had a nice balanced flavor that wasn't too sweet.

If you want to wait 1.5 hours for your food, go ahead. It's quite expensive though. Price/value/taste performance is very bad. I am surprised that the reviews were that good in comparison to the quality and service. In addition to that l, I have been asked if everything was OK. I said "not really" and the waiter just walked away without any answer. Never ever again.

Lovely restaurant with very friendly staff. Food was great, they just changed their menu and everything looks amazing.
It gets busy but worth the wait.

A nice place worthy of its fame. Perfect if you want to enjoy top quality sweets in quite fancy atmosphere for affordable prices. (I particularly recommend their banana bread.) On weekends they are usually full, so make sure you make a reservation. 😘

Nettes Ambiente und guter Service. Klasse, dass man glutenfreies leckeres Frühstück erhält, der Cappuccino mit Hafermilch war ebenfalls sehr lecker.

If you’re looking for a nice coffee shop in Maastricht, this is one of my two preferred ones very nicely located well decorated they offer brunch lunch coffee, and some pastries. All is homemade fresh and delicious. The prices are quite convenient.

This is a Vegan restaurant with a lot of unique food combinations. I’m not a vegan/vegetarian but the food had a lot of different flavors. Drinks were great and the staff were very attentive.

I wanted to go to this place for long time. I went for a Brunch. The staff is super friendly and gave us nice suggestions. Great food and great environment. If you are in Maastricht you should go to Piece of cake!

We came today to have breakfast for the first time at Preps. The menu is varied, full of colourful and diverse dishes. I like how effortlessly most dishes are vegan. I chose the karamel pancakes and my partner picked the scrambled eggs toast. We also ordered two lattes with oat milk. Everything was beautifully presented and in abundance. I don't recall a breakfast so decadent and plentiful ever. Lovely service, the prices were definitely justified and reasonable for the area.

The food was also really good and delicious, we had lunch.
We went there for a valentine's day for the first time and reserved for this occasion. Because we would not be able to get a seat otherwise, it was packed.
The cupcakes were not too sweet and just right. It was also homemade, which is a plus. The sandwiches where also pretty nice.
You could also buy some home decorations, that are not too pricey.

Das war wirklich richtig gut. Es war super lecker. Optisch ist das Essen sehr schön serviert. Der Kakao war super Schokoladig.

I was amazed by how quick and professional the service was. I don’t often find great service in the Netherlands but here it was good! Also, the food was delicious. I’ll definitely come back here when I am in Maastricht again.

On a busy Friday afternoon, we came in without reservation but the staff still managed to free up a table for us. We had tea/coffee and sweet pastries. The pastries were amazing. And the atmosphere in this narrow and long tea room was just so cozy and warm, completely fitting to the Christmas season.

It seems always busy on Sundays, we had to wait in a line to be seated. Food was good but not exceptional. Staff is friendly and helpful.

Sehr schön ausgefallenen Variationen und auch klassische Gerichte zum Frühstück- uns hat es sehr gut gefallen! Und lädt zu einem ausgiebigen Frühstück ein- alles wird sehr schön auf den Teller angerichtet. Die meisten Augen strahlen beim Servieren 🫶. Wir waren gleich zweimal da - am Abend gab es Canobal Toast- MEGA! Einrichtung einfach aber sehr nett. Uns sogar der Espresso hat uns geschmeckt 😂

Had a wonderful breakfast with my family here, we ordered a breakfast wrap, egg Benedict, Hartig pancakes, and banana bread. The portions were generous, love the egg Benedict the most, we also had coffee and matcha which was delicious!

I quite like the American pancake! Sweet but too sweet for Asian standard.
The winter spiced latte is good but on the sweet side. (A bit too sweet in combination with the pancake. )
They also have a kimchi sandwich, which is apparently a signature in their shop.

Very nice decorations and vibes.
Food is healthy and delicious. The dessert and iced coffee are not the best I had in my life but they are still tasty. I like it. Nice. Keep it up

This gem with nice terrace in the back got you covered when it's all about cake. They serve a beautiful high tea (need reservation though) but otherwise there is a wide range to choose from. Swift and attending staff. Well priced and especially good tea (loose leafs). Cakes are exceptional, don't expect cheap sugar bombs this is really well done. Compliments.

Van Wijck in Maastricht bietet ein geniales Essen mit einer beeindruckenden Auswahl. Die Gerichte sind geschmacklich herausragend und die Präsentation ist liebevoll gestaltet. Das Personal ist freundlich und bemüht, könnte jedoch in puncto Effizienz und Aufmerksamkeit noch verbessert werden. Die Preise liegen etwas über dem Durchschnitt, aber die Qualität der Speisen rechtfertigt dies.

Kurzum: Ein Besuch bei Van Wijck lohnt sich definitiv!

Wirklich sehr gutes Frühstück und exzellente Cupkakes und Pancakes. Fast Kaffee war ebenfalls sehr gut. Der Service war auch überaus freundlich, dennoch hat es leider sehr lange gedauert, bis wir eine Bestellung aufgeben konnten und das konnten wir auch bei anderen Gästen beobachten. Trotzdem hat es uns gut gefallen und wir kommen gerne wieder!

We visited this place today and we really liked everything, the staffs was nice and specially the girl from Aruba she were sooo friendly with us all the time, the place has a beautiful decoration and interior design and super cozy, also they have a good terrace, we had some lekker coffees, aperos, milkshakes and super yummy cakes specially the red velvet one! Delicious! Definitely I recommend this place if you are in the area! Looking forward to come back to try out the pancakes and more!

We went there today because of my brother’s recommendation, but honestly we left disappointed because of the quality and high prices. 2 desserts and 1 juice (not fresh) and 1 chocolates with marshmallow 36€. I’m giving 2 starts only because of the service that was kind and attentive. The American pancakes was dry, overcooked (a bit burn on the top) and no cream or icecream to make it swallowing. The French toast was too much cinnamon and also no cream or icecream to eat with, fruit decoration was poor and not enough to eat with it. I definitely don’t recommend a lot of better place for better quality and prices. I hope they will improve it.
