Right in the heart of Rio! So easy to get to by tram, Metro, walking. If you are coming by car the traffic can be extremely busy.

Immigration and bag check took 10 minutes once inside there isn't much to do. A few kiosks, one lounge and you can walk from top to bottom in 2 minutes.

Nice views of the planes but the windows are dirty on more than 60% so hard to see planes clearly.

This airport could use a makeover and add some gates and shops/bars. A lot of staff members are confused about flights and what their gates are.
Good airport, we flew into Rio from Washington DC via Sao Paolo. The airport is very outdated, surprisingly for being in the Capital. We did arrive at the domestic terminal, so I can’t speak to the international terminal. But it was an ok experience. The luggage did take forever to get to the carousel, literally they only drop off 10-12 bags a time. Transportation was easy to figure out, whether Uber or Taxis. If you take Uber you have to walk to a predetermined location for Uber, but its close by.

Nice airport! Clean, well managed, nice bathrooms and our luggage came quickly 👍🏽
Small but Super convenient airport.

This is a Domestic Airport. Was the best option to land from São Paulo and Return to São Paulo yet being closer to Rio de Janeiro's city and Tourist areas.

Shopping Mall with Restaurants, Stores, Coffee Shops, and Food Court right next door. There's also an Uber Lounge where you can set your Uber Pick-Up.
Small airport, but the views arriving and leaving this airport runway is absolutely breathtaking. Security is a breeze here, they just want you to take the laptop out. A note for people flying Azul, make sure you arrive at least 2 hours for your flight. If you get to the counter to check in luggage 1 hour before your flight, they will not let you check in! I saw several people getting turned away by Azul airline because they waited in a long line and when they finally reached the luggage check in 1 hour before their flight they were turned away.

The cab lines are really aggressive, I got an Uber and they hound you. the lines to leave are really long (customs) - you literally don’t scan anything, they just are long.

Immigrations actually wasn’t so bad, that was quicker than after waiting for my bags to leave.

The money exchanges are a rip off, the first one was about 50 BR less for a 100 dollar bill exchange as the one right next to it.
