TSA was pretty strict and checked most of our bags but they were very polite and efficient about it compared to some of the other airports we've been thru recently. Enjoyed the rocking chairs placed throughout the terminal.

I know that people coosing to fly in or out won't see this but I need to vent somewhere .
There is horrible sinage. For American airlines
I arrived at the American Airlines door went in and got in line.
I was told after standing in the security line that I was in the wrong one and to walk to the far end of the airport.
The security line is 45 min on a Thursday at 9 am.
After I got to my gate c16 I was met with an entirely full room standing like it was a concert with people pushing through and not letting the other people off the plane.
This has to be some kind of fire hazard because if there was an emergency, people would die in the trample I guarantee.
The airlines need to work on logistics and spread them out in time or in different gates .
The bathrooms are so small, and they smell.
This airport needs to be expanded asap it's too small for the traffic.

The security inspection is my nightmare…you need to have at least 2 hours before boarding…inside facilities is quite good. About the A area, the shielding glass seemed big trouble, lot of them are damaged.
Considered American Airlines second-largest hub in the U.S., it was my first time to Charlotte Douglas International Airport (CLT) last Thursday on my way to South Bend. With 1.8 million square feet, it’s big and bright, centered around a single terminal building as the heart of the airport, connecting travelers to five concourses, A through E, for both domestic and international flights through 114 gates. There's more than a variety of restaurants, stores, bars, and entertainment. From Gate A to Gate E, it was about a 16-minute walk. Despite its bustling nature, the airport maintained a sense of calm and order, with clear signage and helpful staff ensuring a smooth flow of passengers. Unfortunately, throughout the entire airport, seating can be a premium. Overall, it’s a good airport for connecting flights.
This is an amazing airport. Very very busy. They have so many places to eat and even with in the gates areas. It is an American Airline hub. Chairs have wireless charging although at the time it didn’t work. I have never seen that in an airport anywhere in the world. They have seniors volunteering at the airport should you need or get lost. So in summary it is a good place for a layover.
Charlotte Douglas International Airport has everything you need to be prepared for a nice flight. The retail shops and restaurant options are exceptional. There are many bars, fudge, deli, and coffee shops. There is a shoe shine booth, currency exchange, mother's room, pet room and more. The only flaw I found was in the cleanliness of the restrooms.
The airport is really nice in terms of food options. The restrooms are very clean and well maintained. Only problem is that space is very less in front of the gates. Most of the people were sitting on the floor. Not enough charging points. Requires a bit of face lift.
Despite being a crowded airport the flow of traffic is very smooth. It has a couple of good food stalls and the rest rooms are well maintained and clean.

The ambiance is excellent and always makes my layovers here more enjoyable. There are rocking chairs under a row of trees, rocking chairs on the 2nd floor of the atrium looking out the large windows, and live music (pianist).
I only pass through for layovers, so I cant speak to the security process. Gates are well labeled, and I appreciate the variety of shops.

Cool airport. Looks like a bid shopping mall lol. Very spacious, and very well organized and maintained.
Lots of shops and restaurants to choose from. Most of the stores open up around 6 am.
There is a USO for the military folks!
We were there for a connecting flight to Jacksonville, Florida. We had to walk from terminal C to A, and it didn’t take more than 10 minutes.

We had excellent experience during our lay over time at this airport . American Airlines had promotion Programme where we participated won something too …. Great customer service by Starbucks sales ladies as she understood our urgency and delivered our order early . we enjoy hot coffee latte before boarding American Airlines
Was flying through Charlotte Airport for the very first time today, but must say that my first impressions were very good. Really nice airport, nice looking main terminal and it us also pretty well organized and easy to navigate through it.
If you are going here I would definitely be sure to get there early. Not because of long lines or because it takes a long time to get through security. It is very unorganized! Where we parked we went to the elevators.... Well it takes you out on the back side! We literally had to go back up the elevator and then walk all the way across the other side of the parking lot to get to the the other elevators to get to the main building. The signs are all out of whack! We had to ask 4 different people just to get to the bag check. The sign even said it was but it wasn't... it was on the next floor up. We thought it was just complete disarray. I've once landed here before and all the people around me was all confused and asking each other how to get out because the signs... The signs need some work to direct people where to go. Once you get pass that part it's okay to navigate. Other than that it's okay. The staff, some were nice and helped us, especially getting my disabled boyfriend checked in and his wheelchair and they even got him on the plane and I appreciate that so much!!!!
This airport was incredibly busy. The terminal seating is extremely limited compared to the size of the planes and it is very very crowded all the time. The bathrooms are clean and there's plenty of places to get snacks and eat. All of the staff is very courteous and professional.
Short trip here. Airport seemed warm to me but it could have been from all the construction going on. Got through the airport ok. A little confusing coming back through to leave. Hard to navigate to the upper floor to get to departures. But overall not too bad. Avis customer service was spot on. Nice people overall.
Standard airport international airport. I would say fairly large has plenty restaurants, even gift shops. New stands your typical things that also has the express walkways inside that help you get to where you need to get to faster. Well lit decent decorations, large signs so you can find your gates. Everything seems to be in english. They even also have a shoe shine stand if that's what you need
