Look, I like this place a lot. The food's good and the service is always high quality. But at this point I'm just filling out as many reviews as I can cuz I want to be in the top 1% of reviewers.
Been coming here for years. Pricey but worth the good food. Today I was charged for my topping that come on top of my food for free because I asked for them on the side (sour cream and cheese for my chilaquiles) I was also charged a side when I substitute my rice and beans for potatoes and have never been charged. I kept giving them chances justifing new cooks, etc but the food is going downhill chilaquilles are usually saucey and moist but not today dry and my eggs had eggshell!!! that is something that just ruins my whole meal.
I always order the same thing, a bean and cheese burrito also known as a burrito with no meat. They put onions, cilantro beans and cheese and it's absolutely delicious. All that for under $5. It comes with chips and salsa as well

Saw great review. Finally have a chance to try. Love it! Great Mexican restaurant. Good food, healthy and affordable. Good place to come with family and friends. We try combo plates and two blacken fish tacos. Rice is white with lime and butter flavor. Food is lightly seasons. We want to keep going back.
Came here the other night to buy some comfort food for the family after a loved one in the community passed away. I was so worried I wouldn't be able to order anything because I was really pushing it by showing up a few minutes before closing. Thankfully, Mario made sure to take care of me. I'm so very grateful, and this is one of many reasons why I'll keep coming back. Thank Mario and thank you team for helping me bring home some food to comfort my family.
Went for a quick lunch and boy, it was quick. The place is filled with people but my order was served quickly. I saw three groups of uniformed law enforcement officers, people from all walks of life. But wait, here's more: the broiled fish I ordered, blackened, was superior in taste, on top of rice flavored with butter, boiled frijoles, and lined with sliced Avocado. It was just so satisfying for a hungry rice-loving Asian like me. I shall return!
Great food and friendly service. I got the taco and enchilada plate combo. Fish taco was great- the fish was cooked to perfection. For my enchilada, I got chicken with green sauce and I really enjoyed it. Would come back again for a decent and delicious meal!

On two separate occasions, we have come to this restaurant to eat only to be told that they are closing early because it's slow and they're doing take out only. Maybe if they didn't turn away customers, they wouldn't be so slow.
The food is usually pretty good even though they've made our entrees incorrectly on several occasions. They are very good about fixing it which is why we prefer to dine at the restaurant.
Being turned away today an hour and a half before their regular closing time was the last straw. We don't plan to ever come back here again.

Great authentic Mexican food. Loved the wet burrito. Made fresh, the carne asada was perfect. One of the best burritos I’ve had.
Always packed, which is a great thing. I have been going to snatch up carnitas burrito and 4 tacos for damn near 25 years. The Salsa is on point with a kick to it. They have a ton of items I go strictly for the carnitas. I would definitely recommend this little bomb spot. If you're in the area this is a delicious place to grub. Love it . I have ordered lunch several times from this place. The first few time it was great, the tacos are fantastic. However, the last 3 times, the food has been cold, no salsa included, and the caldo de pollo had NO verduras (veggies). This last time I even asked for salsa and they still did not include it. They also don't include jalapeños or limón with their caldo.

My wife and I come here at least once a month. The service and food is outstanding! Rosie, Ramon and Noe always make us feel welcome. They even memorized our favorite food selections and drinks. Love this place!

Small little place with authentic Mexican food. Service was quick & our server ROSEY was friendly & attentive. The salsa was absolutely perfect! Chips & salsa are always my favorite. Definitely recommend trying this place out. 10/10 ☺️
Rosie is an excellent server. She always makes our dining experience fun! The food is delicious and the cheesecake chimi is great. It’s a wonderful addition to the menu.
I moved from LA about 7 years ago and have been searching for a good taco place and after trying tacos all over Orange County, I gotta say this place is the best so far. Plus they don't gouge you with ridiculous prices here (a lot of places now charge $3-$4 for a small street taco, which is insane) and they have the ABSOLUTE BEST SALSA outside of King Taco (which is the King of ALL TACOS). They dont have many tables but I always take it to go, my son wants their carne asada burrito every week LOL.

Came here after seeing the yelp reviews. Great little place, wouldn't have noticed it driving by but very cozy inside and attentive staff. The food came quickly, we got fish tacos and fajitas, all came out excellent. We also got their churros and their cheesecake chili, it was amazing. Definitely try the cheesecake. Will be coming here again!

I've been a loyal customer at this taqueria for quite some time, making it a must-stop every time I'm in Southern California. However, in my recent visits, I've noticed that the tacos have become just okay, and they don't seem as special as they used to be. The portions have become quite small, and considering the price, it doesn't feel worth it anymore. While the asada and cabeza used to be my favorites here, they didn't quite meet my expectations during my last visit. It's a bit disappointing. No public restrooms at this taqueria.
This place was delicious! I got 3 al pastor tacos and they came out great, I'll definitely be coming back here. The people working here were nice and the tables were clean.
We loved the food and the service! Our waitress, Rosie was really kind and attentive. We even got free dessert. Everything was delicious.

I've been going here for at least 20 years and it is the best taqueria I've been too!! Prices are reasonable, they are fast, the food is always good.
This restaurant has great Mexican food. They do all the classics really well and have great fish dishes. The tacos are fantastic. Their carne asada was really impressive and I feel that's a dish that can be hit or miss. Recommended it to my parents and they also loved it.

Ordered pozole and the meat was very tough (cooked to fast), and the hominy was falling apart, (way over cooked). My son ordered a carne asada burrito and the asada had no flavor, we would never go back.
I have moved to another state, but every time I come for a visit, I have to stop here. Still the best tacos around. The staff is friendly and the service is fast.

Food was really good, but the service not so much. 1 server didn't speak no English, other server 4got to order our food, n forgot the Togo boxes we asked for.

I have been getting food that is cold and hard to chew. I dont think they bother to heat up the tortillas, my burrito was falling apart. The only ingredient I could taste was onion. The staff is not friendly and there is no public restroom. The asada is missing seasoning. Im gonna stop eating at this place after going for so many years. It really sucks because we used to love this place, it was for many years our go to taqueria. But not anymore, Im not wasting my time or money anymore. So long Taqueria Mexico.
Always a great visit. We ordered Ceviche tostadas and ½dozen Oysters. Everything was amazing.

This is honestly probably the best Taqueria I've had before, and that's saying something because I've been given the nickname of "taco boy" from my coworkers.
They press their tortillas fresh! The tacos are big with a large portion of meat that make most taqueria tacos look TINY. The jalapeno sauce is amazing on the pastor, and if you like things spicy, get the chili oil.

Came here from a friends suggestion and so thankful we did. Each tostada only costs between $4.75 to $6.60 and comes stacked high with freshest tasting seafood. So much meat it was falling off on the plate and was enough to make an extra tostada. Definitely back here again soon. Friendly staff with fast service.
We had the machete and they can put up to three different meats in it (in sections) it is beautifuly toasty and the meat I liked the most from what I tried was the carne asada. The picadita was delicious I think it's something in the masa they use. The salsa bar was great they has sautéed onion and Chiles tornados and some potatoes that were delicious along with different salsas. Will come back to try the chilaquil torta.

Horrible experience, completely incompetent and not even apologetic about it. We ordered ahead on doordash, we ordered at noon to pickup at 4:45. I walked in at 4:45 and asked about the order, the woman behind the counter shooed me away and said 10 more minutes. I went back in 10 minutes later and a different woman said it was almost ready when I asked about it. 15 more minutes passed and they finally brought out a big order that was not my order. I said it wasn't my order and repeated the name of my order and that I ordered through doordash. They looked confused and finally, 30 minutes after I had been trying to pick up my order the manager walked over but it was not to help me. It was to shoo me away from the counter.

He asked the woman in Spanish who told him the order was on the tablet but they hadn't started it, he asked her what was in the order and she told him. So damned good! Was on my way to another place down the street when I saw a sigh that said tortillas "Hecho a mano" homemade tortillas. I immediately flipped a "B". So glad I did. The tacos were delicious! I had 2 Carne asada tacos on homemade corn tortillas. I will be coming back here often. I work close so I'm very excited to find this little treasure. . Yummy!!
Totally recommend this place for all their delicious food and excellent customer service. Tostadas de camarón are amazing and street tacos are at the top best. Check this place out, it's a must if you're in town.

The food is delicious!! The shrimp ceviche and fish tacos are my go to…along with the oysters. How ever the service was a little slow for order and help, but the food is good!!!
First time ordering food from here and happy to say the potato tacos were a hit. They were crispy and filling as plate also came with 3 potato tacos with rice and beans. The red salsa and creamy green salsa were great. I also ordered a torta and other traditional tacos: asada, head and tongue.
Today I called in to get 3 different types of breakfast burritos for a business meeting. I called about 30-40 minutes before the event and they were able to accommodate us and had everything ready to go when we walked in. The price was great, and the QUALITY of the burritos was really impressive. I have eaten tons of breakfast burritos in my life and these were some of freshest tasting, non greasy bfast burritos and the salsa was so good, not too spicy (a little kick, but not overwhelming) and really fresh also. We are very happy with our experience here today and will come back when in the area!
Nice clean little taqueria. We had a couple Sopes with carne asada, and a "gobernador" taco, which had shrimp in it. All were very good. You could tell that the gentleman running the place took pride in their food offerings. The meat quality in everything was good, no gristle or fat in the carne asada. Next time we're in town, we'll come back!
This place is the best if you're in Orange or Orange County. Their menu has a lot of great items - I particularly love their street tacos, especially the Pastor, Chorizo, and Asada. They're named Las Salsas for a reason - their salsas are amazing, and they even have a salsa bar so you can try a variety. I don't bother with other places because this is the best!
I went in with my family today for their first time and they loved it! I had came here before with my girlfriend and loved the food. I came back with my server Ana and it was great as last time! She’s always on top of our table and making sure we’re well taken care of. This location is my favorite!
Damn from the first bite I took of my Tacos Al Gobernador with some nice handmade warm tortillas filled with some delicious cheese. That first bite said it all it was amazing. The place is hidden but is very clean and organized. Customer service is great as well they are stocked up on Mexican sodas and Mineral water the best Topo Chico. I’ll definitely be coming back again.
This is a hidden treasure for sure. You are greeted by everyone upon entering with a smile. I got a carnitas burrito as it seemed like the stable here. I can tell you that the burrito is straight up meat and nothing but. The tortilla was cooked to perfection and wasn't soft as others or overly crunchy it seems fresh and hand mad. I got a taco de buche (beef head) delicious and nothing but tender definitely coming back. You are also served chips and salsa as you wait for your food

Taco Mesa was absolutely delicious. Vegetarian taco didn't even taste like it had no meat. All the flavors were there. The crispy potato taco was so good. It almost tasted like a fish taco to me. The green shell was very good and whatever flavors was in it was perfect. The Mexico City enchilada plate was also super delicious. The enchiladas were the best I have had so far in orange. The beans were different but good. Very flavorful. I'm thinking of going back for round two today because man everything was so good I just want more.
I come here at least twice a month, my favorite is the chilaquiles which I normally get to go. When I dine in though I always get a combination plate(taco, Chile relleno and the enchilada) We are always helped by their OG server Cecilia and she normally has two other people on helping her in front. The Micheladas are also something to come for!! They are the BEST I’ve had, perfect balance of spice, beer and tomato. The recently updated their menus which I will include. Make sure to stop by for some chilaquiles and to see Cecilia!
I came here to eat and have eaten here numerous times. I really don't like the way the lady attends. She has an attitude and almost always messes something up in my order. Apart from that the prices are too high in this restaurant. Not even a subway costs 20 dollars.
This place will keep you coming back. Quality food. Friendly staff. Restaurant and bathrooms are very clean. Must try the Michelada. Marlin tacos, shrimp cocktail and ceviche tostadas. Enjoy!
I’ve been coming to Taco Mesa, not this location, for 25 years! I always get a blackened chicken burrito wet! Then I take the cabbage mixture and pour it all over the top. I also ordered the stuffed jalapeños! So good!

Food took a long time but we didn't mind. Food and horchata was delicious. The condiments bar was the cherry on top. I personally liked the steak Taco more than the salmon but would order both again!

First time to this place and wanted a crispy taco, it didnt sound like a regular item in the menu but they made it happened. Its not a crispy taco i expected but waaaay better than i wanted. The best part was they made sure they made it how i wanted and the homemade tortillas. My first time and wont be the last. I hope it will be the same when i come back lol. Food is bomb!
I always pass by when purchasing a coffee from Donut Plus, today I decided to come here for my lunch. I ordered two carne Asada and 2 Carnita tacos 🌮 I got a flan and a 1/2 Coca Cola. It was $18.25. In total I tipped $1.75 so I paid $20.00. It was really yummy double tortilla tacos, the meat was yummy too. The salsas i got red and green the red is better gives you a good taste. Also the flan not my favorite but it was okay.
The Carne Asada tacos are really good. The tortillas are crisp and the meat is always tender and juicy. I always order 2 tacos and end up wanting more. But my diet prohibits it. It's family owned and the owner is the Chef so you know he puts his heart into the food. They have "caldo de res"(beef stew/hearty beef soup) that is sooo good they serve with tortillas. Cilantro,oregano,onions and salsa picante on the side. Outdoor eating area. You can eat on a rainy day, except if it's really poring and windy. Recommend it as early as 6 am for food for work or weekend with the family. 5☆s for me.

Food is good. We go to order tacos. The tortillas are handmade. They have different stews daily. They also have their regular menu items.

I would give 0 stars if I could. Ordered ceviche tostadas and they literally gave me a tostada de tomate and little bit of shrimp. Also took 30min just for that and a drink and everyone who ordered after got their food way before me. Just don't go here.
So yummy definitely recommend the los better burrito !! The salmon taco was amazing and they gave me a good amount of salmon and the mango salsa was amazing. The carnitas tacos was good but needs more flavor. The chilaquiles were good it’s was our second time here and getting the chilaquiles for the second time. The horchata does have a different taste to other usual horchatas but the food we chose to eat makes the horchata and Jamaica flavor change completely if that is weird to say.
Our favorite no frills, hands down, best tasting, authentic Mexican food restaurant in the area. Besides the great food the staff is friendly and will always accommodate some of our special, off-menu requests.
Ask them to make you a pollo-chorizo, burrito with "grandma's" salsa served wet (red sauce) and you will be one happy individual. As a hard shell taco it is excellent as well!

Deliciousness!!! Food was really amazing! Tortillas are hand made!! Tacos de barbacoa de borrego were big with a lot of meat! Salsas and onions included. Highly recommend this place!

Everything was delicious rice, beans, and the asada, pastor, barbacoa de borrego, and chorizo were really good.! Highly recommend!
$1-$2 delicious street tacos: beef tongue, carnitas, al pastor (best), chicken (comes with cheese). The beer con michelada ($6.50) turns your $4 beer into a super bitter and spicy tomato cocktail. Packed on a Sunday lunchtime but efficient service ensures no delay.
I ate some Al pastor tacos and a buche taco. The buche felt super undercooked. It was chewy to the point where I couldn't digest it.
The place is pretty clean and I went at like 12 in the morning so there weren't that many people. I think there's another shop next week without any walls. Def a decent place to go at night if you feel like tacos in the middle of the night.

Best Hole in the Wall Taco Place. The asada tacos are to die for. Family owned , very friendly, free cup of soup when available and chips. I turned this place on to many friends and they love it. They cater and can order for parties. I have for the super bowl and highly recommend.
Pretty good overall food the staff is great and serves you really quickly the Ambiance is a little to be desired but overall think you would enjoy yourself if you want to this location. The Carnitas were excellent
A taste of real mexican antojitos , don't be afraid to come in cause its a grocerie store just walk all the way to the back and have your pick , all food its good . Stay away from salsa macha if you are not fan of spicy . And its not pricy

Small legit Mexican food joint. Tried the barbacoa with consome... it was excellent. Also tried the torta de pierna de puerco and chorizo, both were off the chain! The beans here are delicious. The tortillas are hand made.

Very delicious food at affordable prices it's like having a thentic Mexican food.
A hidden gem. This place is super hip, clean, and spacious. You order at the counter. The food is fantastic, fresh, and healthy! At breakfast they have fresh juices. I had the green one...kale, Apple, lemon, not sure what else but it was DELICIOUS. A little pricey but worth every penny. The menu is broad and affordable. They have scrumptious looking desserts, a very fresh salsa bar, they even serve beer and wine. Check out my photos. I believe they cater as well.
They have the BEST Horchata!!! It tastes exactly like my grandmother's homemade sweet rice!!! I believe the authenticity of their flavor comes from using whole Cinnamon sticks in their recipe (I asked to confirm and Yes, they use whole cinnamon sticks😊). If you're in search of a healthy alternative, they have an exceptional menu for the health conscious!!! Give them a try! There's several locations. A friend and I just ate here for the firs time! Excellent food, excellent friendly service and great prices. Large quantities. Free chips and salsa. Everything looked and tasted homemade. Fresh and delicious. Highly recommend the crispy shredded beef tacos. And had the first tamale in years that I really liked. This place is stuck back off the main roads, but not far. Well worth the trip.
