Quick, cheap, and easy taco shop. They even serve ground turkey! And make their own hot sauce.

The food was rather bland. My steak taco was good but could’ve used more seasoning. The shrimp taco was fine but once again had little flavor. The fish taco was not good. The fish itself seemed to be ground up or chopped to the point where it appeared ground. The atmosphere was better than the food.

really can’t say anything positive about this place. A good taco does the simple things well: it should have a good tortilla, the main ingredient should be flavorful and fresh, and the toppings should add to the flavor. the tacos from this place fail in every respect. The shells were dry and flavorless. The meat was bland, as if it were boiled to 180 degrees and not even in the same room as salt or other seasonings. The mushrooms tasted like they were out of a can. The toppings ranged from bland and slimy, over-prepared peppers to bland and limp lettuce. Oh yeah, if you don’t like lettuce on your taco, make sure to tell them because they put it on even if the menu doesn’t disclose it.

From there, nothing gets better. The guac is, you guessed it, bland and made fresh maybe a day or two ago. The salsa is fine but nothing special. The chips are unsalted and, again, flavorless.

There is no table service and you have to bus everything yourself, but the prices are still sky high and they ask for a tip (defaults are standard 18, 20, and 22%… But for what, to stand there and take my order?).

Go somewhere else.

Give it a 3.5 stars. The place wasn't busy, but it's a bit outdated and dark. They do have outdoor seating. I got the Pescado Carne asada tacos along with pulled pork rice bowl and steak quesadilla. The food is good, but I definitely would go with Carne Asada. Prices were reasonable. Food came out quick.

Ordered a steak burrito to go and it tasted like it had been sitting there for a couple of days. Meat was burnt tiny pieces from bottom of pan, sour cream was curdled, guac was brown. I almost got sick. I will never eat here again!

I have tried to come to this restaurant multiple times and they do not stay open their posted hours. Often they close early or not open at all. Don’t bother coming.

We thoroughly enjoyed our experience at this Mexican restaurant. The menu is extensive, featuring a long list of daily specials. Upon entering, you place your order at the counter, and there's seating available at both the bar and tables. We chose seats at the bar, where the bartender was exceptionally friendly and helpful. Although we encountered a minor setback with the fried yucca balls being cold on the inside (leading to the 4 ⭐️ rating), the overall experience was great. We also tried the fried chicken quesadilla, which came in a generous portion. The grilled steak quesadilla, though much smaller, was equally delightful. Both were accompanied by chips and pico de gallo salsa. We highly recommend trying the chimichurri aioli – a perfect complement to the quesadilla. Despite the minor hiccup, we look forward to returning to explore more items on the menu!
Online order did not get related to the chef. Did not have the correct fajita steak for my fajita order so I got carne asada meat that was grisly. The shredded beef burrito had a pretty decent stew meat and lots of cheese. The folks at San Felipe Taqueria gave me 2 tall glass bottles of soda for free due to the wait. Would not recommend.

I placed an online order at 7pm and was charged to my card. When I got there at 7:30pm they were closed. I knocked on the window and I called but nothing. They were 100% closed! The sign says they close at 8pm!
I haven’t tried a burrito from every place in Portland, but so far, this place is my favorite spot for burritos. The red salsa is also unique and very delicious. The service is excellent and the food comes out quick. Give ‘em a try!

Me and my bride to be came for lunch. Both of us really enjoyed the food, the salsa options were tasty, and the habanero salsa was especially nice. Prices are good, service was perfect, and if we were ever in the area, I’d consider stopping by again. if you’re considering it just do it

I moved here from California almost two years ago and have been trying to find good Mexican food in Portland ever since. No spot has lived up to the Cali Mexican food until I tried this spot! I got a barbacoa super burrito and it was bomb! I was pleasantly surprised by the level of spiciness, and the tortilla was good! All 4 salsas that they have are flavorful and delicious, especially the avocado one. I came around 7 on a Saturday night and not busy at all. Highly recommend if you’re looking for good Mexican food in PDX.

Love this place! Owner is kind and cares about the food he serves. Steak tacos are the best I’ve found in pdx. Been coming here for years and enjoyed watching his kids grow up. The food is consistently delicious!!! It’s our favorite place for tacos.

As a Texas Mexican I approve!! Been lookin for a taste of home and I finally found it! Best burrito I've had in Portland so far, 10 outta 10 the beans and rice and gauc all hit the right way!! So if your missing home and cheaper prices this is the spot.
Fantastic tacos! Spicy pork is easily the best of the 3 meats I had! Chips and salsa is fantastic! But the habanero sauce is fire, literally, hottest habanero I’ve ever eaten…

I do love a good Mexican cart... Unfortunately, this one did not blow my hair back. At $13, I had expected a little more zaz from my fajita burrito. I was quite disappointed, however, to find that it was petite and mainly rice. So, if you're looking for an overpriced rice fajita burrito, this may be the place for you. It's just not for me, though... Thank you, no thank you.

I got the pollo bowl and was unimpressed. For $15 dollar there needs to be something significant to make it worth the extra $5 compared to a similar bowl at Chipotle. Unfortunately, the only positive was the side of hot sauce you can get, which has a tasty tangy flavor. Other than that it really wasn't that good. Chicken was dry and lacking flavor. Barely any cheese or sour cream. It was less filling as well. I hate to say it, but it didn't pass the chipotle unit of measurement, which isn't difficult to surpass. However, the atmosphere is nice and the staff was very friendly.

I guess there is no lack of great reviews for this place, but I feel moved to add my own. I've searched high and low for healthy, tasty Mexican fare in Portland and this place is it! I love the fish tacos. The rice and beans are a meal in themselves. The prices are very reasonable and, as others have mentioned, the proprietors are friendly and kind. Just go there! It is easy to park on the street and side streets, so you have no excuse.
One of my favorite places to eat in all of Portland. The beet and avocado tacos are out of this world. The shrimp burrito is phenomenal. The service is also top notch. Every time I visit or call to place an order, they are so cheerful and friendly, it instantly puts me in a better mood. I called once and they didn’t answer in time (on another call). I didn’t leave a message, but they saw my caller ID and called me back within seconds to take my order on their own accord.
Culinary perfection! Mexican inspired food cart with picnic table seating. Perfect blend of flavors and ingredients and very well-priced. Endless menu options. Opted for 3 a la carte tacos (pastor; pescado; beets), and I couldn't have been happier. Random find but so glad I did! Highly recommend.

Woah disappointment… when the best thing on the menu was the bread? Red flag… would not recommend in good faith. Couldn’t hear the person I went with, they forgot our shrimp tacos, complete with the head & tail! The avocado taco?? was inedible. The oysters? Heart burn snow cones

What an amazing experience!

If you want to enjoy truly creative cuisine, go to Regards. Everything was delicious.

I’m not sure sharing the photos of what we ate helps because their menu changes often, but I’ll share anyway.

Get all their desserts.

Their wine list is fantastic. They have wines from Greece and Slovenia.

Service: Thank you, Madison K., for all your recommendations.
I’m one of those (California transplants) with high standards for Mexican food and had been severely underwhelmed in Portland… until we found Meddling Lime. We order out at least once a week and it is consistently so, so good. I always get chicken tacos, my husband gets the crispy rice al pastor, and my son gets the kids burrito. In fact, my son’s first ever solid food was the verde chicken, haha.

This place was utterly regrettable. The food was far below quality, exorbitantly overpriced, and the drinks were watery and of low grade. Ordered a Gordita with chicken, there were pieces of bone and cartilage in it. Kiddo had bean nachos, and for a whopping $10, it came with 6 tortilla chips, yes 6.

I watched the bartender make my drink which was an AMF, and they use cheap premixed Long Island liquor, and topped the glass of with…. water. DO NOT come here. We spent $80 for two adults and a toddler, possibly the worst money we’ve ever spent. Run, don’t walk, away from this overpriced hole in the wall.
Exceptionally overpriced. Ingredients were bare bones basics. Kid's bean nachos had 6 chips, a plate of beans with generic store shredded cheese, and cost $10 for about 25 cents worth of food.
Drinks are crazy over priced for generic mixers.
Delicious food. This place is BUSY and there's a good reason. Their fried chicken is so good, and the burritos... Even better. Big, packed full of all the good things you want all the way to the very last bites. The only thing I wasn't super jazzed on was the salsa - the spicy one was very good, the medium red salsa felt like something you dip chips in, not something you pour on a burrito/taco.

Itl probably take about 15-20 minutes to get food during peak hours, but it's well worth the wait.

The cart pod here only has a few tables so seating is limited.

This was the best meal by far of our trip in Maine! The food was amazing and innovative. I was not surprised by some flavors that I’ve never discovered before. The service and the ambiance was great. We picked 5 tapas for two of us and everything was delicious. With a toddler, we were accommodated to the corner seat which was perfect. Highly recommended!

$3.50 for a taco. Meet seems to be bought for harvest foods already prepare. Will NOT recomend there is other taco trucks that are way better.
We love this place. The food is always delicious, and the people who work in the cart are really friendly too. Recommend the salads! Also all the tacos and burritos we have tried have been great too.

I recently moved into the area, and this food cart was one of the first places I ate at, and I'm planning on making it a regular spot. The seared cod tacos were some of the best fish tacos I've tried and were very affordable. Light, delicious, but a little wet, so grab extra napkins. I'm planning on trying a lot more items off their menu soon. Parking can be limited during busy parts of the day, but street parking should be available on the side streets.

These fish tacos are the best we’ve found in Portland. Authentic, regional and delicious. The margaritas are superior here as well.

Highly recommended by my date, thus it was settled.

The plates are smaller and mostly designed for sharing it seems, tapas style. Yes, it's a bit pricey for what you get but it'll either be worth it or not worth it.

First off we started with oysters. They have a lot of accouterment which added a nice sort of spiciness, perhaps counteracted by the ice shavings also put on. I think the ice was a bit too much, but the flavors were there.

The Waygu razor clam tartare was absolutely to die for. It comes with really thin cracker-type stuff, falling apart in my hands like the papyrus scrolls. The combination of the raw fish, the meat, the spices... it was heavenly and worth the high price. I could have just eaten a bowl of it and been happy.

I was excited about the duck hearts. I liked the sauce and the rich irony flavor, but I thought they were slightly tough and rubbery. The date agreed but said the last time she tried them they were tender, so could have been an off day or an off duck.

Still, this is the place I would come back to on the strength of the tartare. Lots of the dishes looked wonderful and if you can spend a few bucks, then I would certainly recommend this place at least once.

Really enjoyed the atmosphere and diversity of tapas style food, lots of variety and options for every palate. Started with tasty cacahuetes (roasted peanuts) with cocktails and wine; there were a few happy hour options ($10 margarita or glass of red or white wine) when we were there. Having four in our party allowed us to try a lot on the menus. Standouts included the lamb (tartare) and clams, arroz with peeky toe crab, and hamachi collar. Also enjoyed the burrata, dayboat scallops (gorgeous presentation) hiramasa ceviche, norumbega oysters, and shrimp tacos.

Customer service is great but from what I've tried the food is mediocre. The burrito I got was so salty I could barely eat half of it. I've heard good things about their tacos though.

I've lived in the States for a while but I've never tried real tacos. Today after open skate at Oaks Park my partner and I decided to have dinner here. Oh my gosh! I cannot recommend it enough! Everything was fresh and well seasoned. I can't wait to eat here again!!
Got there at midday on a Tuesday and they had not gotten their fish shipment yet, so instead I ordered Huevos Rancheros. Great proportions for the price!

It is safe to say, this is by far, the best meal I have had in an extremely long time! Between the service, the atmosphere and the food it is 5/5 in every catagory. The best parts of this restaurant were the delicious combination of flavors in foods I had never had before, like the duck heart and sea urchin! Additionally, being able to see the chefs prepare this food live, in the back of the restaurant was awesome. If you want to try new foods and have it guaranteed that it will be amazing, look no further!

WOWWEE. The flavors here are fused perfectly. Each dish was unique to anything I’ve had previously. Our fave was the blue tamale! The ice cream is made in house so leave room!

The drinks were stiff so be careful!

Truly one of the best meals of my life. My husband and I plan our travel around food. We’ve been to many of the top 20 San Pellegrino rated spots. I don’t say that to brag but to compare. Regards at points reminded me of Pujol. I would put this in the top 5 meals of my life. The execution of each dish was flawless. The creativity was so exciting. Each dish I had—I have never had anything like it. The scallop ceviche blew my mind. They were so fresh and each bite packed a floral punch. Their mezcal list was thoughtful and extensive. I went while traveling solo and sat alone at the bar. This is a great spot for female traveler a little nervous to dine alone. The bar is intimate and the staff are warm. Such a neat small business, they are going to do big things.

We ordered the fish taco plate, carnitas taco plate, and guacamole with chips. Friendly people and good tacos. I forgot to ask if they fried the fish in the tacos. That was my mistake. They are fried. I’m gluten-free.

It's all right. Had the Quesadilla. Salsa seemed hard to come buy. No Salsa Station or anything. None was given as a courtesy with the chips. Found that odd. Maybe my server simply didn't give me any. There was a tiny cup of Pico that was grotesquely insufficient. One bottle of Hot Sauce on the table of an unknown brand. Was hot,but not good. An array of bottled sauces should be offered. Cholula, Tapatio , Etc. Think they charge for every dab of this and that. Sour Cream was $2. The Steak Quesadilla was decent, but not over the rainbow good. Needed seasoning. Could have used some of that missing salsa or hot sauce. Might go try the tacos. I heard they are good. We'll see.

Very Americanized. Hot salsa is frank's red hot. My hard shell taco was so wet I couldn't pick it up and had to get a fork out. The chili beef was good, but otherwise the tacos and quesadillas are basically identical to anything that you would make in your own kitchen at home, if not more bland. It tastes fine but it's not worth going "out" for.

On its own the food is quite good, but considering the price of food in Portland, it's absolutely incredible, very fast service and very friendly staff as well. It's rapidly becoming a go to spot for me.
Today is Pozole day! Every Saturday is Pozole day at San Felipe Taqueria! We are huge fans and somewhat Pozole snobs and we LOVE the Pozole at San Felipe! It’s perfectly balanced with lots of pork and ample hominy. The cabbage, onions with oregano, the lime and the hot sauce are lovely accoutrements!

San Felipe is also famous for their fish tacos! We love pretty much everything on their menu and look forward to being able to enjoy a delicious margarita inside the bar area when we’re able to dine indoors The outdoor dining area is great on a warm sunny day.

I’m the meantime, take out, it is!!

The staff is warm and friendly. I hope they survive this darn pandemic. I’ll do whatever I can to support them.

Support local restaurants!

The best al pastor burrito I’ve had so far in PDX. Great prices, service, and menu options. Small food cart complex with mostly outdoor seating, but some limited indoor seating available. I will return as often as I can!

Great food for the price! The burrito was super tasty and quite large. I had the ground turkey with added guacamole and it was almost too much food for lunch, almost. These are not spicy, so if you want some kick make sure you ask for it. I will be going back for sure!

Hands down the best burritos in Portland! I'm sure everything else on the menu is just as good but I can't stop buying the burritos long enough to find out. The chicken is perfectly flavored and lean cut. Great rice and beans. Fresh lettuce. Excellent value. If you're buying a burrito anywhere else then you're committing a crime against yourself! Five stars! It's right behind the Dunkin Donuts. Get the burrito, you'll thank me!
