Top Mexican restaurants in Maspeth, United States

Ordered from Uber Eats and decided to eat my feelings post work: ordered cheese empanadas, Shrimp tacos, and Birria tacos.

Empanadas were soaked in oil and had the worst after taste. All you could taste was the reused oil.

The Shrimp tacos were okay. Not bad not great, but okay. Needed some extra toppings or something though.

But the birria tacos were the WORST. Ordered the supéreme toppings and they just had no flavor, except the overwhelming taste of either nutmeg or cinnamon. too much roast beef and needed salt.

Ate the shrimp tacos, half an empanada, and half a birria taco. Threw the rest out.

IDK who is eating at this place and afterwords claiming this is the best Mexican food. Just baffling.

Ordered from UberEats and got the Al pastor burrito, fish taco, steak taco, and spicy pork taco. Everything was flavorless and bland and definitely one of the worst meals I’ve had.

Ordered this on Uber Eats and hate to say it but it was gross. The salsa is like tomato juice water/mush with giant chunks of onions. The birria tacos were super bland. The tortilla chips were just awful. They almost tasted like chemicals. The sauces— green sauce, red sauce, and their “guacamole” were all just not good. I honestly could have made better food myself. This is a chain and it just isn’t very good. If you want great birria tacos then go to Birria Landia. Also, as you’ll notice, they reply to all of their reviews (even a lady who complained about BUGS in her food and a guy about finding a nickel in his guacamole) with a “thank you for your feedback” paragraph and zero effort to rectify the situation.

I don’t ever write reviews, but this restaurant has never disappointed me and deserves so much love! Honestly not sure why the ratings aren’t higher. So far I have only ordered tacos, but they were so good that I have done so multiple times-and I’m quite a taco obsessed fiend so that’s saying a lot :).

In a taco, when there are so few ingredients and toppings beside cilantro and onion to distract you, the quality of the protein really matters. And here, every single protein has been succulent, tender and delicious. I don’t crave guacamole or sauces like I typically do when I’m given bland and chewy meat at other places, these are that good as is. BUT the red and green sauces are necessary to just amp everything up to 11, they have so much complex flavor that I could drink them like soup lol. And usually restaurants disappoint me by giving me red sauces that are barely spicy or even TOO spicy and lacking flavor aside from that; you will not have that problem here! Your nose and eyes may water if you’re weak like me but in my opinion these sauces are the perfect middle between plain savory and super spicy.

There’s also such an abundance of meat in each taco that just two are enough for a whole meal!! Doesn’t mean I won’t make myself sick eating 3 more tacos than I should though ;). The cherry on top is that the ladies working here are always so sweet and pleasant, and the interior is so welcoming, bright, and homely. It’s a good location and prices are great too, just go here already!!!!

The tortillas were not cooked and the tortilla chips taste as if the grease had not been changed in a while. The salsa looked like red water so I didn’t try it.

Ordered $13 Birria combo with consommé. Received no consommé for 3 very dry tacos. The $12 chicken quesadilla had 5 chunks of meat in each tortilla but was loaded with lettuce. The kids quesadilla is $2 more than it used to be and has less chicken. Definitely last time giving this place a try

It’s my first order here and I can sya that all are good except for the rice which is not cooked well, you can still grind the grains. I hope that next time it won’t happen again.
