We ordered takeaway and their food was delicious!
Everything we ordered was done correctly.

Pancake was nice and crispy, kimchi fried rice was nicely flavoured and delicious.

Their jjajjangmyeon was alright, nothing too special.
Their fried chicken was crunchy and flavourful though we weren't a big fan of their garlic flavour.

We'll return and try their other dishes.
A great experience to barbecue your own food. Staff were great. For once tables are large size for 2 people. Meat was tender. A great place for lunch. Definitely recommend
We’ve been here a number of times but today‘s lunch was the best dining experience we have had in Hancookwan so far. We don’t have to ask for the grill plates to be changed, the staff took the initiative which is really nice. Good food, we’re so full! Totally worth the $42 per person. Kudos to today’s crew! Keep it up!
Buffet BBQ with endless raw meat, squid and shrimp dishes. Sumptuous cooked items: dumplings, rice ball, chicken wings, fried rice, ice crea, cut fruits, etc.comes with free flow of coffee and tea as well.
Went on a Sunday night, booked in for a reservation for 2 as it gets booked out on the weekends. A few people found out the hard way waiting and then getting turned away as they were fully booked. Good selection of meat for Korean BBQ all you can eat as well as salad and side dishes. Be prepared to walk out smelling like a Korean BBQ. Reasonably well ventilated and they have extraction fans throughout. Very satisfied and would come back again.
Convenient location in suburban area. Our group loved the authentically prepared dishes. Will be back.
Fast food buffet and delicious,we are very enjoying our dinner ! They offered vegetarian options as well !
Authentic Korean restaurant, really enjoyed the beef hotpot, it had noodles, veges and beef and tasty broth, great dish for winter. The sweet and sour pork and fried chicken were good too. Overall, happy with the food and service.

At first we waited 30 mins for our order and when we asked the girl at the counter, she told us she gave our order to another customer without checking their receipt. I asked her how did that happen and she said she gave the orders away based on Trust, without a single apology for not providing our order. She still proceeded to joke around with the staff working in the kitchen afterwards, who was being unfriendly towards me. So we ended up waiting for almost 1 hour for my order. We won't be back to this shop. I hope the owner of this store read the reviews and start doing something about it. You need to teach your employees some basic manners.
The food is always authentic here. Good place to crave for korean cuisine. Friendly staffs, clean and always busy therefore recommended to book beforehand.

Came to the restaurant without any dine in customer so the staff have more space to talk. The counter girl was eating her chocolate and taking order at the same time. Was she trained not to eat when serving customers???

We ordered two two tornado potato’s, a simple order. We waited till it was ready, the girl who served us and employees in the kitchen where loudly joking and talking amongst themselves laughing loudly and forgot about us. I walked up and picked up my order at the counter. The girl ran and apologised, I forgot you were here. Unprofessional and lack of care for customers. Food was stale and cold too, by the time I served myself. We will not return, lack of management made for an unpleasant experience today.
the waiter offered us a tiny table that both of us have to face the wall while eating. I am pretty sure there are some tables still available.

They put insanely much MSG into the food. As I feel super dehydrated after I went home. !!!!!!!!!! Until now

Waiter kept dropping utensils. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Little portion for fried chicken. Personally, I think 30 dollar for one small plate is overpriced. However, the price for noodle is decent.
Haven’t been here since 2020 but for all you can eat Korean bbq this place has not missed a beat.

With a good selection of meats, hot selections and fried chicken, small selection of salads and vegetables, soup, rice and dessert and ice-cream. This will definitely fill your tummy up.

With BYO alcohol with no corkage for beer only pretty good value if you do bring your own alcohol. This place does 2 sessions at night 5:30pm to 7:20pm then another one at 7:30pm to 9ish pm.

Left pretty full and pretty satisfied!!

I’ll never order from this restaurant ever again! I ordered garlic flavoured chicken but the taste was so plain, couldn’t even taste the garlic. I hate it!!! I would give 0 star if i could!

Talk about SHRINKFLATION. Thats when the price remains the same but the product gets smaller and smaller.

So I used to pay $32 for 16pcs korean chicken. I was gob smacked to learn two days ago when I ate there that theyre now charging $31 for 8pcs korean chicken.

Seafood pancake has also shrunk!

I am extremely disappointed. No longer worth it.

This place has gone downhill. Used to be amazing and was my go to place for Korean fried chicken. Standard has been dropping and this is the last time I’ll dine at Hansik.

The chicken we ordered was half the normal size. We usually order the 8 piece along with a soup and have to take away leftovers. This time I was still hungry after the meal.

When we ordered the same thing this week and it arrived I had to check that I did not order the 4 piece by mistake as the portion that came was half the usual size. I have attached photos to show the size of the chicken we received (barely larger than the size of a spoon). At $32 for the 8 pieces at those sizes it is way too expensive.

It was nice. It looks busy and popular restaurant.
We didn't book but we could have a table.
Really Crispy chiken. ( took home the left, still was crispy the next morning)
Bobimbap was not on menu that was what I wanted in korean restaurant..
Generous portions especially their hotpot and chicken dishes. Pancake batter was abit stale, dry and thin. Chicken was sweet and flavoursome. Will be back to try their other dishes and their black bean noodles.
For the price we paid. Cant ask for more. It’s all you can eat. Foods are amazing and walked out of the restaurant with 100% satisfaction. Good place to hang out with friends and family. Can bring your own alcohol if you want. Also, keep in mind that booking is essential. If you gonna try walk in and get a table, good luck with that. And lastly, customer service is amazing. There’s one waiter is exceptionally helpful and friendly. Thank you.

We ordered 30 pieces today, snowing cheese and bulgogi. Both of the flavours was so salty and didn’t taste right. So disappointed!
5 star customer service and generous serving size. We loved the Glutinous rice sweet and sour pork as well as the black bean sauce with chopped vegetables dry noodles. If you have a big group better book in advance.

Pretty good food with sizeable portions and a decent drinks selection. Closes kind of early though.
I had a couple of types of boneless fried chicken and the seafood pancake shared with a friend and it was plenty of food.
Staff were nice and the place was pretty busy. Spicy wasn't very spicy though which was a little disappointing but not deal breaking.
I'd recommend if you're in the area but wouldn't take a long trip for it.

Had dinner here with family. Ordered the fried chicken sampler (12 pieces of 6 types) which is a great way to try the variety on offer for the first time. The sweet spicy variety is clearly a favorite of many as per reviews and what I see on other tables - but I find the seasoning too heavy for my liking; much prefer the others. Overall, the chicken was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside without being oily. The seafood pancake was the highlight of the night - like onion basket but with squid and prawns - crunchy tasty goodness. The garlic fried rice was garlicky heaven but had to ask for soy sauce as it was under-salted; when balanced, it was very good. We enjoyed all 3 dishes in the end and will come back to try other dishes. Price was reasonable.
Love this korean restaurant. Foods tastes great, portions are generous and price are really good.

Usually this place is very busy during lunch time.
Although the staff were nice and very efficient. Waiting time is quite long for the foods to arrive to the table, due to minimal staff.

Parking spot is another issue. Its very hard to find a spot specially during pick hours. Might have to wait until a bit.

The setting and ambience are quite nice. Even though the restaurant in full house it doesn't feel squishy and pack jammed.
Food was great, variety was worth the price. Meats were tasty as they were well marinated. Charcoal fire with non stick grill pan was brilliant as food did not stick and grease drained away. Environment was nice and spacious. BBQ smoke extractors worked well to keep the place reasonably smoke free. Self help buffet counters were replenished frequently. Service staff were discreet yet attentive. Tea, coffee and desert were a nice way to finish off the meal. Well Done Hancookwan!

the service is perfect and friendly but waiting 30 minutes for cheese sticks and a tornado potato without any warning about wait times nor a “ sorry for the wait” goes to show a lack of sense of timing. personally i work in busy restaurant and fully understand the stress but a warning prior to that it’s going to be a wait would be professional and helpful. Otherwise food is delicious.
Maybe due to change of management, the food is not as good as it used to be, portion is greatly reduced and staff number were limited - should expect to wait a bit before your food to come out or to be served. Was disappointed 😢
