Loved the Muscle Burn class this morning. No cardio is always my thing so using weights and working various muscle groups make me feel that I am headed in the right direction of toning my body. Thanks Melissa 🤩

This has to be the best Fit4Less out there. The facility is huge. The black card area is practically a whole separate gym. And the best thing about it all is that JJ and his team keep this place so pristine. It’s never dirty, locker rooms well maintained, and the weights are always in the right place.
World gym is amazing! The staff is kind and helpful, the equipment and facility are clean and well taken care of, and they have just recently opened to 24 hours Monday morning to Friday night, with Saturday’s and Sunday’s at regular hours. Now I can get my early, early morning workouts in that fit my schedule! I most definitely recommend World Gym Brantford!
I’ve tried many different gyms in Brantford, but World Gym has been BY FAR the best for me. Super welcoming environment, amazing staff, friendly and knowledgeable trainers, always clean, and amazing equipment! Plussss them being open 24hrs during the week is great!☺️
Decent gym for its location and the looks of it. Has everything you need but only the essentials nothing the extra mile. I would like to see some upgrades to their equipment since there hasn’t been anything new recently and i’ve been coming here for the previous 3 years. For leg days this gym is incredibly stale just offering a singular leg curl, leg extension, seated calf raise, a limited leg press (only can rack 5 plates each side). This is not a bad gym but I would like to see better equipment considering the cost of this gym like a Hack Squat, Chest supported T-Bar row & a better leg press machine. They have the space & finances to be able to do it. Not only that but this gym is notorious for making the pool/hot tub sauna & basketball facilities off limits for periods of time for classes. If there was a goodlife in brantford or a gym closer I would switch in a heartbeat.

The head manager Douglas Hughes is extremely rude and unprofessional I tried canceling my "no commitment" membership only to be given a rude attitude and told I would be charged 2 more time before it will achilly be canceled when i asked for a number to call a Hire up he claimed he was the hireup and that Noone was above him. When I ask to make a complaint he said their was Noone to make a complaint to other then him. He hung up on me well trying to figure out how I can cancel the membership and made fun of me for not being able to afford the membership. I feel disappointed, discouraged, and discussed by the treatment of paying customers from this establishment (if you can even call it that) I hope Noone else has to experience this extremely rude man and this company's scummy practices.
Expensive (charge every 14 days), caters to children and university students, parking and facilties difficult to access (pool, jacuzzi and sauna), front desk unfriendly, to have steam room access, it’s over $1000 per year, plus parking fees $2.50/hr if you stay over time limit. Overall nice facilities but schedule for adults is inconvenient.
It’s good, everyone super friendly, space for everyone. ONE thing though… THERE IS NO AIR CONDITIONING INSIDE RHE GYM. I am hot as F up here trying to work out 🥵🥵 please install cool air!!

Decent and clean gym and affordable pricing. I see the employees cleaning the equipments all the tim. I usually workout before work and the showers are kinda hot, only reason I gave 2 stars. I wish you guys fixed it.

Just joined the gym 6wks ago. Gym is always clean and they hand out clothes for the purpose of wiping down the machines after use once you’re done it goes in a basket for reuse after they’ve clean them. I hired a trainer to start me off. Kyle has been great talks me through every movement and make sure that I’m not overdoing any exercise as well as corrects my form as I’m doing the exercise. He also gives advice on other machines to try to achieve your goals. They’re open 24 hours a day Monday through Friday and then Saturday and Sundays are 7 to 7 which I wish was later for work conflict. But I would recommend this gym to anyone.

I would not recommend! It was good at the start but lately it really isn't wirth it for the price you pay. The hot tub is always down and now so are the pools and sauna so all your getting is the work out facilities that you can get for a fraction of the price anywhere than that you pay at the YMCA.. reason why pools sauna and hot tub when it's working are never available other then weekends they have swimming lessons from 3 pm until 7:45pm so if you work day shift your out of luck and now they have day camp going so it closes even sooner then before.. but hey you want to pay 56 dollars a month plus pay a hundred for building fees for a place to just work out then than I guess it's the place for you lol

Honestly, great gym for the price. BUT, the men's SHOWERS, Jesus, are they hot, not warm its straight up HOT water coming out of the showers and there s no valve to adjust the temperature of the water. The employees have requested the owner to fix it multiple times as they said with no success . Please fix this and I will come back with a 5 star review.
I love Sunday morning NIA !! It’s a mind, body and soul class . You leave feeling so good about yourself in every way! Great Instructor Darlene.💕
Tammi is an amazing instructor with great energy and I love her classes! You get a full body work out during Zumba toning without even feeling like you are working out. The same goes for Kathy’s, Mandy’s, Liz’s and Mellisa’s classes!
I wouldn’t give it one star. Discriminatory against the disabled. Never thought people were out there like that but the ymca hired them. Asking if the hot tub is working is WAY to much work for them to handle 🙄. Multiple complaints and nothing done. Ghosted

I wasnt sure what tabata was but i gave it a try. I love it! Great workout! Got a good sweat and the hour flew by
Took my granddaughter to daycare at The Fitness Centre. She loved it and was very content the full 90 minutes. The staff were attentive and caring. It was a great experience for us both. She had fun and I was able to do two classes. Win-win!
It's been a while that small warm water pool only opens from 1:15pm to 3pm on weekends. It's not enough. Weekend is the only time that we can enjoy pool and due staffing issue (as per staff) its causing frustration. I hope it would resolve soon
Amazing welcoming atmosphere! I feel so confident going to an All Ladies Gym, and the people at the gym are super helpful and friendly! I 100% recommend this gym for anyone who feels like they could get their best work out done without those judging eyes! The classes are tons of fun, and a big workout!

Gyms are a matter of personal taste and needs but World gym has been perfect for me. It is my favourite gym in over a decade of having memberships elsewhere. The ownership, coaches and staff have always been professional and personable. This gym is a diverse place where everyone appears to be respected and encouraged no matter their motivations and goals. I find it to be a no nonsense, no gimmicks kind of gym and I like that.

It's not a bad gym for the price you pay. It's clean and not too busy (the times I went). A few things I'm not impressed with are that on some machines, the seats are wobbly, it definitely needs to be tightened. I also don't like that alot of the lower body equipment feels very stiff, like it needs to be greased or something. I also did not see a laying ham curl machine but im not sure if its in the black card member section (which I did not use on my visit).
I recently joined world gym, I have had a great experience with all the staff. The staff are super friendly and they always welcome me and say goodbye when I leave.
My trainer Kyle is absolutely amazing, he’s very knowledgeable and takes his time to show me all the machines and makes sure I’m doing everything correctly. The gym is super clean and bright!
I highly recommend world gym!!!

Very clean and friendly gym. I love the new extended hours as it allows me to be more flexible with my workout schedule. You are always greeted with great staff who help maintain the upkeep of the environment. I have recommended this place to a few people since I started in February.

I have a couple of concerns though. Firstly, they are a bit expensive for the base membership which doesn’t allow you to use any kettlebell weights. Secondly, on Friday nights they start shutting things down at 8:30pm. This makes guests, like myself, feel like they shouldn’t be there or use certain areas. Finally, the roof leaks. When I informed the staff they said they knew about the issue and have told upper management. But they didn’t put a wet floor sign down to inform people.
The best gym if ever been to!
Not only is it a nice gym that is open 24 hrs, the staff are really nice, the machines are clean and well maintained.
I use to be worried about going to the gym because of the people who work out constantly would be judging me; that was all in my head. In one day I had 4 people giving me tips, asking if I needed any help or if I wanted to use a machine they were working on.
A very welcoming community space. Love it at world gym!
The gym is pretty small and overcrowded, especially in the evening with Laurier students. I pay over $40 every two weeks and the gym has less machines than options like Fit for Less or Crunch. In addition, the gym cuts hours during the summer time and keeps pricing the same year round. It's one of the most expensive gyms in town and very busy. The steam room and pool are great. However, the hot tub is broken half the time and remains closed for weeks at a time. I would recommend Movati over the Y because the price is similar and it's not so busy with the amenities and bigger gym. The worst part is, the fee to initially join is expensive so you feel locked in once you join. I just don't get why a gym built on charity charges one of the highest gym prices in the city. If you don't have any subsidies or student memberships, it's not worth joining and paying full price. The hours, crowd, price and lack of machines do not make it worth while.

This is a good Fit4Less location the manager is regularly on-site during the day and is cleaning the bathroom/change room every day. The equipment is well maintained and very open. I wish the Black Card area wasn't half the gym. I have a Black Card but don't like segregating between people's price ranges and haven't used it. (The manager should train the St. Thomas Fit4Less on how to maintain a gym and change room)

Came here to work out with a friend yesterday. First issue is their “day pass” is $20 while a 2 week membership is $14.99. Annoying, but fine. Next issue is something I’ve never experienced at a gym - they literally have half the gym segregated. Yes, that’s right - half the gym is literally separated, by a locked fence, with heavier weights and better equipment for the higher membership patrons. How this place is still in business when CRUNCH is right down the road with a a far superior facility (bigger, better and newer) and cheaper membership plans that include unlimited “bring a friend” passes with my membership, just boggles my mind. Sorry but definitely won’t be back.
It is a pretty good all around gym for basic needs.
The equipment is mostly kept in good repair, and when things do break they are fixed up pretty quickly.
The place is clean and kept fairly tidy.
It also is not super busy. It definitely has its peak times, but even during peak, there is enough space and equipment for me to get my workouts in.
Front staff are nice and welcoming.

Knew I was going for surgery when I signed up and asked about the membership in case I couldn’t come in. Was told no worries you never have to pay if you can’t use it. Well emailed and never got a reply as we had complications and it’s going to be a few months. Today I got an email asking if I e decided what to do??? No clue this is the first I’m hearing. Now that they have my money and money for services not used I’m told I can cancel but it’s 30 days notice required so I have to pay another month of service o can’t use. Avoid this gym and service
Welcoming and friendly, this gym has excellent coaching, space and energy. It fills my heart.
After doing a couple months of research and touring other gyms in Brantford, I settled on joining the YMCA instead of other more expensive options, and I'm happy that I did! The machines and staff rival similar private facilities, all within walking distance from home. It's great to know that my membership fee goes right back into improving both the facility and the community. Highly recommend for those looking to get more movement in their lives!

I can honestly say that The Fitness Centre is a wonderful gym. Its the first gym I have been to that hasn't felt sterile and impersonal. It really fosters a sense of community and belonging. The members are encouraging of one another and there is no intimidation. There is a nice variety of classes and they are fun to be a part of. The child care is a wonderful bonus and they are so good with the kids! I can't say enough about how great it is!
Welcoming and safe space for women of all ages and shapes to work out. Joining The Fitness Centre is the best choice I ever made. As a Muslim woman it is often hard to find workout spaces to feel and dress comfortably. The instructors are fantastic at what they do and I'm always guaranteed a good workout. It's more than just a gym- it's a community. Also the childcare is a bonus for busy moms :)

Well maintained, small and perfect for the small town Brantford. It’s 24 hours open and pretty much busy all the time. You won’t get overwhelmed with a trillion of equipments and you get enough space for free weight workouts too, which is not a usual scene in other well known big chains these days.

I love Anytime Fitness, they have a great staff and a very welcoming environment. The employees are very kind and do a great job at keeping the place organized. Theres a good variety of good reliable equipment and they always seem to be adding new updates to the gym that have helped my workouts progress over time. They have 4 private washrooms that are kept very clean and are rarely all in use. You can tell they put a lot into running this place with purpose by the constant hard work each person puts in, especially that Nicole. If you are looking for a new gym its a great place that gives you the sensation of a clean personal one. If you're looking into just starting your gym journey, its a great place to start and give you a proper introduction of what a gym should be like.

I was gifted a membership with someone else's name and payment info and, despite not going/using the membership, they continued to accrue account overdue balances when the credit card used by the gifter expired for more than 6 months... Instead of pausing the membership or clarifying why I haven't been there, they now want me to pay $328 for a gym I don't use and are sending me to collections/ruining my credit (that money may not seem like a lot, however I am a healthcare student, just finished 3 years of full time school yesterday, and am thus already in debt for *legitimate* services & resources I used). Their "gift" to me if I pay them is waiving the 30 day cancellation period.

Just be aware this is who you're getting into bed with - and when I'm looking for a gym in the near future once working, I know this is not a franchise I will ever associate with. I've previously used Goodlife, World Gym, and Crunch with only positive things to say about those experiences.

They say they won't "bite you" as per a manager comment below - that is absolutely untrue. I have been a member at many other places and never run into such issues. They do not care about you being a member and just want money. Had they dealt with this differently, I would have considered being a member given that I'd like to find somewhere that's available 24hr as my work will entail day/night shiftwork. But unfortunately that's not the case.

After working out in my home for many years I decided to get a gym membership again- I actually signed up at another gym & quickly felt uncomfortable due to how clicky it felt. My fiancé suggested I try Anytime Fitness so I went in & talked to Madison- who I think could sense my hesitation. She offered me a FREE 10 day trial (most places rarely even offer 3 days). After my second visit here, I knew I was going to sign up. I feel extremely comfortable coming in here & enjoy working out again. The staff are always very responsive if I have a question, they get back to me ASAP (I work out very early) & it’s always clean. They also have very cool give aways and incentives to keep their members motivated. Way to go Anytime Fitness Brantford! Your awesome!!

Anytime Brantford is great - the staff are super friendly and it’s the cleanest gym I’ve ever been to. No matter when you go in during the day undoubtedly someone is vacuuming and making sure everything is organized. I’ve never observed a damaged piece of equipment in over two years that hasn’t been labeled and quickly fixed. Also I’ve left personal belongings accidentally and the staff put it aside and it was left untouched when I came back the next time. Kudos!

Over the years I have used many gyms and I now choose Anytime Fitness in Brantford as my "home" gym. The staff here keep the place spotless. They are friendly, knowledgeable and helpful whatever your age, your fitness level or personal needs. The equipment is well maintained and is upgraded on a regular basis.
During the Covid shutdown this was the only gym that was allowed to remain open with vey strict guidelines for special needs members. It involved a tremendous amount of work for just a few eligible members. That's how much they care!
Thanks for looking after us all.

I love the culture, everyone is welcome regardless of their fitness ability. The instructors are kind and they motivate me to work hard in every workout.. I’m so glad I found this place 💪💚
Hands down the absolute best gym in Brantford and surrounding areas. The owners and coaches have genuine interest and care for every single member, no matter their experience or skillfulness. Highly recommend joining if you're on the fence and you will not be disappointed.
I friggin' loved this place! Very friendly vibe and awesome gym layout with lots of space. Even had nice lights strewn up. The decor is a gym but feels welcoming. Members were all chatty and friendly, as were staff. Helped guide the workout well and gave good feedback on movements. Didn't matter fitness level - there were options to do a fun workout
