My son has had lessons with A1 swimming for months, and he has really advanced. They focused a lot on water safety and now he is working on swimming across the pool. The private swim lessons and expert coaching from Tony has been awesome!
Safe and welcoming environment. Our older kids enjoy the precision of instruction. They have also participated in stroke school, which is offered seasonally and is divided by ability. It caps out by class size so be sure to sign up when it opens. My youngest had apprehensions about the water but that disappeared quickly. We opt for private and semi-private lessons due to my kids preference. It's a family business and they are very professional, communicate quickly. Our schedule is never confusing and it is always on time. The pool is indoors so we can swim year round without issues. The pool operates on Montgomery County public school emergency schedule.

The facility has showers and bathrooms and is right next to a playground/small track if you want to get in some exercise or your little ones need to play while. There are lifeguards on duty during pools hours.

Email is best and they communicate very quickly. Check out the QR code that's posted.
A1 Swimming is a fantastic swimming school. I was frustrated that my five year old still couldn't swim after many years of group swimming lessons. After three months with Coach Tony, he is able to swim short stretches on his own, and is on his way to safely swimming independently soon. My nine year old was a decent swimmer, but wasn't learning the strokes very well in his group lessons. With Coach Tony, he is perfecting his strokes and becoming a more efficient swimmer. After the first few weeks of lessons, the nine year old told us "I like that Coach Tony telling and showing me how to swim better." This is the kind of attentive feedback he wasn't getting in group lessons. What's great is that my five year old and nine year old, who are at different levels, are able to have semi-private lessons together. I highly recommend A1 Swimming!

Tony and Anna are amazing swim coaches. My daughter has been with them for years and she’s become a strong swimmer with their guidance and positive, warm support!

A1 swimming has been wonderful for my daughter. Coach Tony is clearly an excellent educator, strategically introducing and practicing swimming skills in a way that has earned trust and comfort with my child while helping her progress in just a few lessons. As a former teacher, I can see how intentional he is with listening to her, reading her cues, but also helping her feel comfortable to try new things, and celebrating her growth. We've done 2 other different swim lessons with other teachers, and she has by far made the most progress with A1/Coach Tony. Highly recommend!

We have had an exceptional experience with A1 Swimming. My son has made incredible progress in a short amount of time thanks to Coach Tony's expertise. I would recommend A1 to anyone seeking a professional experience for swim lessons.

Our five year old took lessons with Coach Anna, and she had an amazing experience. She picked up the fundamentals of swimming fast, and I'm much more confident about her abilities in the pool. We plan to go back and take more lessons!

I enrolled my 2 boys, ages 4 and 6 in A1 swimming for an 8-pack of classes and I was really pleased at their progress over the course of two months! Coach Tony is like a child whisperer. He is extremely attentive to the kids' emotions and somehow gets them to do things that it would have taken me 5 years to accomplish. My six year old knew some basic swimming techniques, but he was scared of the jets at the side of the pool, and terrified of going anywhere over his head in the water. By the second lesson, Coach Tony had them jumping into the deep end, feeling their body float and move in the water, and showing them how to get to the side. Now my six year old is excited to go swimming. We definitely achieved our goals. I know it's expensive, but I highly recommend A1 swimming.
