A true hidden gems in a safe neighborhood of La Paz, very close to the witches market, many restaurants, and teleférico Rodrigo and staff make you feel right at home. The stay is affordable. In the morning the chorus of cholitas selling herbs and flowers is soothing This was my second stay here; and I will definitely book again.

Great hotel at a great location! Owners were extremely kind and helpful and go well beyond what you could expect!

Of all the hostels we stayed at in our three weeks in Bolivia Hostal Iskanwaya was by far the best!!

Delicious breakfast every morning and Ricardo was always there to help us when we had a question.

We booked several tours through him and they were all amazing.
He was very accommodating and always available on WhatsApp if we had a question.

The breakfast is included which was not the case in many other hostels and the communication was very easy via WhatsApp.

Ricardo and his family were so sweet and accommodating. Made us feel very welcomed and taken care of. Great location! Would recommend!

We stayed here for two nights. The breakfast is really nice and the breakfast area is a lovely place to chill. The rooms are comfy, if a little small. The location of the hotel is ideal!

We arrived early after an overnight bus from Uyuni, and the staff were very kind to give us an early check-in!

The rooms were clean and hot water and pressure was perfect. Unfortunately, we had a couple of early days due to the tours we booked and only had 1 day of breakfast, but it was at the rooftop that had a great view :)

Location is also great and a close walk to the main attractions in La Paz. We had a great stay and will definitely recommend it!

The location of the hotel is great, close to the Witches market and the rooftop breakfast is a nice to have.

Unfortunately the rooms are dated and I had bad bed bug bites after the first night itself.

Es un buen lugar más que nada el servicio es bueno por que te tratan con amabilidad y respeto pero en cuanto a el lugar es un poco peligroso sentido a las discotecas respecto a las habitaciones son buenas pero no son de gran tamaño tal vez con un poco más de espacio estaría mejor

The guy at the reception was very helpful.
Room was nice and big but a bit noisy. The bathroom wasn't as good as the rest (no worries, we had hot water)
It would be nice if they offered take away breakfast for early-morning departures / tours.

Pésimo hostal me dieron. Una habitación la cual el baño olía mal. Y donde. Se pusieron hacer reparaciones a la habitación de a lado. Martillando. Desde las 7:30am. Imposible descansar. Si van hacer reparaciones preferible. No hospedar en ese piso. Hasta que esté bien.

Hôtel qui mériterait 4 étoiles, mais au prix d'un 3 étoiles ! Chambres très propres. Excellent petit déjeuner. Vue extraordinaire de la terrasse. La rue Illampu peut toutefois être bruyante, quoique étonnamment la nuit elle devient déserte. Chambre sans insonorisation, il faut espérer être à un étage où personne ne parle au téléphone trop tard.

Amazing hotel, best service I've had. Absolutely lovely staff, always ready to help. The room were good temperature which is exceptional in La Paz. The rooms were very clean, shower too, hot water, without any problem, very calm and quiet, great market just downstairs 2 days a week. Perfect central location, close to the restaurants. Great breakfast. Thank you so much for making my stay so special!

Una habitación con baño privado, ducha caliente, tv cable cuesta 140 bs, equivalente a 20 $us.

Me and my girlfriend stayed here for 9 nights in June 2017, in two different dorm rooms. This is probably the best value hostel compared to other prices in La Paz, however it still could improve. The two dormitories we stayed in had three beds each (although very hard mattresses), and we only had company for only one of the nights. Neither room had a proper window except one above the door to allow air flow, which meant that it was musty and almost permanently cold in there, especially when other guests left the door to the outside patio open. There is a kitchen which is sufficiently equipped (hard to find in La Paz apparently), although matches are guarded by the staff ridiculously. Hot water for the showers is powered by gas canisters but only one of them is almost always hot enough, and count yourself unlucky if the gas runs out mid-shower. Bathroom cleanliness is generally okay, except for the lack of soap. Our biggest complaint is probably the staff, two of which were just grumpy when asked anything and very strict about matches for the kitchen, lights in the common area being on after 10pm, and ignoring your room preference on check-in.
