Great location, beautiful beach, entertainment and fabulous restaurants on your door step. The hotel is clean, with good size rooms. Disappointing that despite being family run hotel the owners seemed to only make an effort with selected guests, only speaking to us if asking for money for sunloungers. The staff however were fantastic and made us extremely welcome, particularly Henila and Silver who are amazing and really made the stay special. More choice for English TV channels needed and better walk path on beach, instead of burning feet every time because of gaps. Would definitely return. Breakfast has no choice but thankfully is due to change to buffet Emma & Colin
If it were up to me, not even one star would deserve it. Very bad vacation--I stayed at that hotel several years ago and had a bad experience.
Rooms nothing of excellence as I read here, very bad management, the owner did not behave as she did with other customers, she seemed to be dealing with enemies, but not because we brought her work, but because of respect that was evidently lacking on her part, then on the last day she wanted to greet us by shaking hands, she called us uncooperative (not even if we were at the Police headquarters).
Oh I forgot the Albanian waiter who served us breakfast one morning threw our cups on the table in a gesture of annoyance...I don't know what we had done to him in the last I just want to say learn to be entrepreneurs in the tourist industry than just treat well whoever you like...BANNED
We've been here during mid October so off season. It was a mixed experience for us.

The hotel is really close to the beach. It was not too crowded in October but we can imagine that it will be during main season. 12 euros for sun beds are very expensive however you can also just use the ones at the pool for free. We preferred going to Patamos or other beaches.
Rooms are modern, clean, beds are comfy. Don't expect any special amenities though. 7 euro each day for using ac, 4 euros for a safe... If you have a problem with noises at night you should opt for the sea view. There was permanent noise on the street and I don't want to imagine how it is during high season.
Breakfast is okay. Mostly the same things every day Ham, cheese, bread, butter, jam, sometimes bacon and egg, fruits and coffee, always severed on a plate (no buffet).
Service was kind. Especially Costa (I guess the owners son?) did a great job. The drinks at the hotel bar were great.

Location: tbh Malia and Stalis are disappointing. There is one big road with very little space for people walking next to busses, scooters, squads and rental cars. The city consists only of the most touristic shops, car rentals and restaurants. No oldtown in sight. You have to walk a bit to get there.

While we had some decent cocktails in the more expensive bars the food in the restaurants of malia was mediocre, don't get fooled by their good reviews. Check out the small oldtown of Malia instead. We were happy to finally get our rental car and discover other parts of the island.
Fantastic hotel and location directly on the beach. The food in the beach bar SummerTime is reasonable and very tasty, cocktails are delicious. Easy to get trips, the tour companies pick you up outside. Free breakfast is good with slight variations each day. Staff are so friendly, helpful and caring. Would absolutely stay here again.
NASTY, NOISY, RUDE!

Longing for an authentic hostile ambience? Look no further! Unlike its Tripadvisor AND website description , "The hotel consists of 30 rooms facing the deep blue of Cretan Sea." this human storage capsule masquerading as a hotel under represents its luxurious offerings to include noisy road views sprinkled with soothing party music like ac/dc Hell’s Bells sung at full drunken volume just below your hotel window, perfect to mask the continuous vehicle traffic. Moving inside, the interiors are sure to disappoint. Exceptionally clean yet sterile rooms (we rented two with our kids) were baron. No shampoo, no conditioner, no bars of soap, no cups, no expensive mini bar, no shower caps, no mini sewing kits, forget about slippers, or beach towels.... all unhandily absent. There is a soap pump on the bathroom wall you’re welcome to walk out of your shower for each lathery pump. What makes cleaning even more epic for staff are the crackly plastic covered bed liners luring your unsuspecting heads onto tiny twin mattresses creating more symphonies of noises with every nighttime body shift. It’s like drifting off wrapped in a Ruffles chips bag, inside a disco. Speaking of talent...I’ll post the suite decorative artwork, only appreciated with a visual aid. The management, although not truthful or helpful, are very direct and confrontational so you know exactly where you stand. We mentioned the smashed toilet seat and bathroom door gaping hole. The owner was helpful to describe excuses like “we’re too busy now at high season to repair those things”, and “yes yes we know about those things, don’t worry you won’t be charged for the damages.” Food? yes, breakfast is included. This meal is a perfect complement consisting of dry breads, soggy cheese and single slice of tomato, garnished lightly with 3 slices of cucumber. Amazing.... memorable, and perfectly paired.

There’s a beer guzzling 8am drunk at the bar, f-bomb yelling hallway patrons outside my door right now, so the kid friendly environment is really more an educational experience for your children, discussion on safety and life ambitions.

I could go on...but you’ll need to book a room for the full experience. Did I mention the rude dismissive staff .... avoid!
We never actually rented a room at this hotel. We rent an apartment nearby, and enjoy our lunch and drinks at Malliotakis, while our kids swim in the pool. The pool is situated at the beach, so you can enjoy both the pool and the sea. Very friendly staff. Returning customer for three years now. Definitely recommend.
