This local charming pub exudes character and warmth, making it a standout gem on Stony. The friendly staff adds to the welcoming atmosphere, creating a place where you feel like a regular, even on your first visit. The pub's unique charm, combined with the affable service, makes it a top choice for those seeking a genuine and enjoyable pub experience. Cheers to a spot that truly understands the art of hospitality!

Friendly staff, high street pub with cosy front bar and more seat in rear room toilets on 1st floor, don't know connect with carry on films but signed memorabilia in front bar along with some vintage local history. Definitely pop in again as I love old fashioned hospitality feels welcoming. Thanks

The old george hotel. Well this is a odd place. But in a very good way. It is one of the only pubs I have been into recently that is always busy. Lovely bar staff and good ale, the food was really nice but you can't eat on a Monday or Tuesday (odd). It as a building is full of character but do mind your head. It has a fair few rooms for accomodation which consists of inside the pub and a annex to the rear. Now this is where I drop one star for the rooms. The rear rooms were grand we booked 3 rooms for working away. The room I had above the bar was not bad but the outside lights couldn't be blocked by the curtains and lit the inside of the room. The shower room you could do with some work as you could smell the drains. The other 2 rooms were fantastic with no complaints. 1 room out of I think 15 with issues isn't to bad going. The old george hotel is worth a stay if you are in the area. A enjoyable stay and would stay again

The Worbun, can you hire more staff? your staff members are running like headless chickens. We came here twice and both occasions we had to wait for over an hour to have a simple breakfast meal. It’s a miracle how your business is still running and you continue to have customers with this poor service!

Went there for lunch, food was very poor tasted old, stale and frozen, which was disappointing seeing as it was wildly overpriced. Service was extremely slow. They ran out of fish and chips before 1:30 pm. Lovely location in a charming little town though.

Lovely hotel with good facilities. Rooms were satisfactory with bathroom supplying various products for customers. Tea and coffee facilities, TV, fan, hairdryer and iron board with iron. Breakfast was very nice and other meals looked good. Nice outdoor area with plenty of shade and heaters when needed. Staff were friendly and helpful. Located in the centre of Woburn with plenty of parking.

1st visit whilst staying with friends and family for wedding. Booked in advance with discounted wedding rate. Early check in allowed, but was a challenge to secure despite travelling long distance. £20 extra charge for privilege and having to request to speak with manager. If rooms not available, a location to change is good idea to provide for wedding parties arriving. Especially as this is one of the hotels main summer events it accommodates. Room was very nice however very hot without any air con. (fan provided) Pillows were feathered and lacked support (didn't have chance to request more before we had to leave. Im sure they would have been provided, Just normally theres more in cupboards) Clearly double room was luxurious few years ago, like the amazing hotel, but rooms starting to show age in places to justify £200 per night. Two tea bags not enough for 1 night stay. Despite this it was a nice room, with lots of added extras in bathroom, bed and breakfast included. It made for a comfortable stopover for wedding. Breakfast we experienced lovely portioned full cooked standard breakfast. This included the fantastic Gloucestershire butter to die for. Sourdough bread and amazing flavoured sausage and bacon. Perfectly cooked scrambled eggs. Well done across the restaurant and if this is breakfast next time I'm trying dinner. ;) Don't choose anywhere else, it's lovely venue and very picturesque. Rooms are nice and do what you'd expect.

I stopped for Sunday lunch at Woburn inn with a party of 8. I found the front of house staff difficult, in particular our waitress, I didn't appreciate her tone or mannerisms, they didn't make me feel particularly welcome. She took the order for the drinks but they took a long time to come to the table. The food however was better although not without fault.
I had the Sunday lunch with roast beef it was cooked really well and was a large portion (to be expected at £20 a head). The kids had meals from the kids menu. Unfortunately both the kids chicken and beef burgers weren't great. Both were dry and overcooked although the value was there at £10 for 3 courses.
The waitress didn't tend to our table very well, and we had to grab whoever was going past to refresh drinks etc...
I would give this place another go but if the service was still lacking I wouldn't return, there are plenty of other really good restaurants in the area.

Food was good for the price, drinks were average price. We ate in the bar even though it was casual table service.
The service was ok, staff were friendly but that’s only when you can get hold of one.
I don’t think they were understaffed but watching them appeared to be just disorganised and poorly trained in hospitality.
We had planned to order dessert after our meal but after finally getting the menu after 5 mins and then waiting another 10mins before being able to grab another staff member we just got a lolly for the kids and asked for the bill.
The bill cam promptly but somehow they managed to add over £50 of extra drinks to it. So off I went to find a member of staff who was apologetic but laid back about the mistake and I had little faith they would correct the bill accurately. I asked for a pen and headed back to my table to cross through the incorrect items and then add up the correct ones so I knew what I was paying was correct.
Then after all that they then had the cheek to add a 10% gratuity to the bill!
At this point we wanted to leave as the whole meal and bill faff had taken too long so I grabbed the staff member who corrected the bill and headed to the bar with him to pay. We started to chat and he asked if our meal was ok (apart from the bill mess us he jokes) I was about 2 words into my response and he turns his back to me to talk to the barman and doesn’t even look back whilst holding the card reader to me to pay.
To be honest I wouldn’t go back as the service was not up to standard for such a lovely location.
If Management read this please reach out and I will be more than happy to give you some sensible constructive feedback on how you could improve your staffs service. You could so easily be a 5 star hotel, bar and restaurant.

Situated in a beautiful area, very scenic.
Visited here in late February to accompany my sister and her husband on their honeymoon. (Due to illness)
The disabled parking was literally outside the door to the adapted room, very convenient with a wheel chair.
The disabled room was quite spacious with a wet room and plenty of space to get around.
The standard rooms are quite tired looking, small and in need of some work.
The T.V. struggled to get a signal often.
The shower had good pressure. Good selection of condiments in the room.
The beds are firm, but that didn't stop me sleeping like a baby.
The restaurant has lovely decor and the ambient lighting gives it a good atmosphere to enjoy your dinner in.
Their food was delicious. It is just unfortunate that the service was strained and unprofessional at times, and the wait on dinner was well over an hour from ordering until it arrived on the table.
I know this is a very busy restaurant and demanding at times, but there needs to be an improvement on the wait times and communication between staff.
Like I said, though, I couldn't fault the food here.

Charming Hotel with a Few Hiccups
I recently had the opportunity to stay at a hotel for two nights, and overall, it was a pleasant experience with a few minor drawbacks.
Let's start with the positives. The hotel's location was absolutely perfect, especially if you're planning a visit to the Woburn Safari Park. Situated in a lovely village, it offered a peaceful and picturesque setting, enhancing the overall ambiance of the stay. The staff members were friendly and helpful, particularly the breakfast staff, who went out of their way to ensure a pleasant dining experience. Speaking of breakfast, it was truly delightful, with a generous selection of vegetarian options that catered to various dietary preferences. The hotel's courtyard area was a hidden gem, providing a lovely space to relax and unwind, especially when the weather was favorable. Moreover, ample parking availability was a definite plus, making it convenient for guests with vehicles. Finally, the online check-in and check-out process was seamless, allowing for a hassle-free experience.
While the hotel had numerous positives, there were a few negative aspects that left me slightly disappointed. One particular incident involved a friend who was charged £20 for early check-in, despite it being confirmed that the room was ready. This unexpected charge felt unnecessary and could have been handled better, as it somewhat tarnished an otherwise enjoyable stay.
In conclusion, the hotel's favorable location, friendly staff, delectable breakfast, charming courtyard, ample parking, and smooth online check-in and check-out process make it a worthwhile choice for anyone visiting the area. However, it's essential for the management to address inconsistencies and ensure that confirmed arrangements are honored, avoiding any unexpected charges that may dampen an otherwise pleasant stay.

Booked a reservation for 1 night and the place cancelled our booking a month before. When contacted we never got through to an agent and only the support service who said the same things each time and never heard back from them about the cancellation. Disgusting service and if you book here you cannot be confident that you will have a place to stay because they might cancel beforehand. We had to spend double on a different accommodation due to this. Dont waste your time.

Whilst the apartment is very good, we couldn't select the location on booking. We are a family with a 2 year old toddler, yet we were put in an apartment above a noisy bar that is open til 2am. Would not recommend for this reason.

Lovely accommodation, we were lucky enough to stay here while our kitchen was fixed. It was comfortable, clean and had everything we needed to stay with a young family. Would definitely stay again and would recommend to anyone.

Had a great stay in the Centro apartments, the team at City Stay were very helpful! The apartment itself was tidy and clean, it also had everything I needed for my stay. A real bonus was the mood lighting in the living area! I will definitely be booking again

Great little apartment for our stay in Milton Keynes. The rooms were a good size and had everything we could need for the weekend. The balcony was a nice touch, but the sun was so bright we couldn't sit out for long as we couldn't see our screen! (Not a fault of the room, of course!) The oven was a bit confusing, and as there wasn't a manual we had to Google how to use it to actually cook, but other than that, everything was easy to use. The Wi-Fi was pretty poor though, and we resorted to using our mobile coverage rather than using it in the end.

Work sent us to MK for 10 weeks and we were placed into an apartment in The Hub through City Stay.We had an awful stay and end ended up terminating our rental with City Stay after 8 days; we ended up going with another rival company for the duration of our 10 weeks. The apartment we got was better quality, and 20% cheaper!
During our stay we raised several issues but nothing was done to address these, and there was no show of empathy at all. The Hub is badly run down and poorly maintained; lifts are dirty and creaky and give you the feeling that you may get stuck, and had we been on a lower floor I would have used the stairs, although people are knows to be injecting drugs in the stairwells. The car park is also daggy and dark and badly maintained.
The apartment had no extraction, not even in the bathrooms, walls were badly marked, the carpets need to be cleaned professionally, the oven seal was missing and thus unusable, the vertical blinds were missing some panels/ broken including the bedroom were you could not block out the street light. The washing machine was covered in mould. The sofas had marks on them and there was writing on the coffee table. The toilet seat was disgusting and needs to be replaced.
Surely someone from City Stay comes and checks these places from time to time to pick up things that the cleaners miss? Poor management, and poor maintenance.

Lovely apartment with beautiful views. Ideal location, just minutes from clubs, cinema, bowling, shopping centre & train station and the Sainsbury's in on your doorstep.
Only downside is it isn't ideal for young children unless you watch them like a hawk or bring your own covers for sockets. Will definitely be staying again.

I flew in from the United States on a business trip and stayed with City Stay for a total of three weeks. The apartment staff was very friendly and even helped me extend my stay on a short notice for another week. The apartments are well maintained, clean, quiet, and located in the hub. They are located right above/next to a grocery store, and walking distance to many restaurants, the train station, malls and gyms. I would definitely recommend this apartment to anyone and I would absolutely stay there again.

I have been staying at the Vizion apartments for the last 2 years and have used a number of the agencies but have found City Stay to be by far the best and most professional . From dealing with my enquires to the standard of accommodation , they are always the company I would recommend and the first one I will contact. They provide friendly and efficient service with competitve pricing . For me their apartments provide a better quality of furnishings and facilities than their competitors , are always very clean and tidy and if you have any issues during your stay , they are always on hand to resolve quickly . I look forward to continuing to stay in Milton Keynes and using City Stay are my preferred company
