Top Hotels in Langkawi, Malaysia

2 nites is not enough. Wish we stayed longer unfortunately due to work commitment, we could only do 2 nites. So much love for this place. We booked the rainforest villa, which js spacious for 3 of us. The villa or rather the whole place is well maintained albeit covid (seen some hotels having issue post covid). The staff are super friendly and attentive, the foods are simply delicious, be it at breakfast, in- room dining or any of the restos. So many things to do at the resort. Will definitely return, and will stay longer.

Sublime unstated luxurious hotel. Attentive staff. 4 great restaurants , Thai, Malaysian/Indonesian/Indian, Modern European and fine dining. Recommended at least 1/2 board. Isolated location , next town 30mins away. Rooms are large and well appointed. Can't wait to go back again! Thank you for a great 2 weeks.

Remarkable. Excellent yet professional service all round from concierge to any ground staff on duty. Was on a Wedding Anniversary trip with my spouse and it's just so pleasant throughout the stay. Appreciate all the arrangement made. Great room cleanliness, Mini bar is completed with coffee machine, capsules, teas, snacks etc. This is one of the few facilities in Langkawi that is so close to nature then offers true rainforest and beach views. Simply nothing less than magnificent. Highly recommended for folks who is looking to getaway from everyday hustle and bustle. Absolutely one of a kind experience.

We haven‘t been guests but spent an evening at the Beach Club for a drink and then at the Gulai House for dinner. The experience is one of a kind, I haven’t seen anything like it anywhere else in the world. I am in general not at all a fan of Malaysia and also not necessarily of Langkawi but the Datai creates a unique experience, seamlessly integrating into its environment of lush nature.

Simply gorgeous resort that embraces (yet holds back) nature while providing a world class 5-star living and dining experience. I will include just one picture because the exploration of this place should be part of the experience. There are buggies to drive you around, but recommend you stroll around the resort at least once.

However, the one thing I can say is that for fellow Malaysians who have reservations paying this amount (1500rm net for one night at regular non-suite room) for a Malaysian resort, the Datai did not disappoint in any way. Malaysian resorts usually fail in some way; food, maintenance, service, etc… but the Danai delivers in every way. Yes the food at the resort is expensive, but it’s actually GOOD, which you can’t say about many other Malaysian hotels. The only thing disappointing was the lobby lounge margarita (just a mess), though the ambience and view is so great, I almost forgive it.

It’s a relaxation resort so don’t expect anything to do after 11… you’ll get lots of sleep here. The rooms are amazing though and the entertainment system is solid (great streaming options from your phone/tablet/pc), so you won’t be bored.

One thing though, make sure you stock up on drinks and snacks beforehand… it’s really far from anything. Also, make sure you wake up for breakfast! It’s incredible.

An excellent 5-star resort. It's location at the secluded Datai Bay makes it really special and private. Room, facilities and services are really good, not to mention the foods. Try it out, don't take my words for it.

The great hotel with truly commitment in implementing sustainable tourism. No plastic and fully independent in zero waste management. The best accommodation for anyone who love clean environment and nature.

If there is one place you could go to, this should be the one! It has everything from kayaking in backwater marshes, golf course, catamarans, butterfly walk in its gardens, and so much more. The staff is lovely and welcoming. The restaurants are .. yummm! Rooms are spacious and thoughtfully decorated. Loved everything about our stay here.

Absolutely stunning hotel which feels like a warm bath. Super service and great team in all areas. Delicious food and good wine list. As close as you can get to heaven…..

Meticulously thought out rooms and amenities, staff are very pleasant and efficient, food is fantastic, bonus points for baby food menu and kids menu!

Beach is awesome (coming from someone who doesn't like the beach) and watersports with no extra charge!

Had an amazing stay over the weekend at The Datai. I would give Service more stars if I could, to all the staff that we encountered at this resort.
The attention to details, always a step ahead & preempting your needs, they simply aim to please.. highly recommended for anyone who just wants to get away & relax.. we will definitely be back !

Wonderful

I was there on last 2017-2018, during refurbished of The Datai Resort. Love to be there even the masjid is 14km's away. Every morning ride to work's there like a simple vacation.
Once a week hunting for ferries to Kuala Kedah and comeback to works on Monday morning like hunting something.... hahahaha....
All my friends in Datai, nice to be around with all of you. To my quarters neighbors, sorry if we always make you uncomfortable with our behaviour hahahahahaa....

To stay deep in the rainforest, the staff quarters provided few facilities for the staff. The accommodation is excellent, few facilities i meant here, gym, court for badminton, basket ball, and weve a table pool in our cafeteria. But youll love the environment. Its all nature and fresh air you breath in everyday!
