A lovely place to escape. Friendly welcome and service. Delicious food. The bed was super comfy. Cosy log burners to relax around. Will definitely return.

I absolutly loved this hotel! Atmosphere, decor the lot! Wish I'd had more time to just sit and enjoy it, so Ill definitely be back!

A grand-looking hotel tucked away from the hustle and bustle. The outside of this building is beautiful, and being able to stargaze in the gardens is an added treat. The downstairs interior is a little kitsch but the rooms are tasteful and clean. The bathroom was absolutely spotless! We only stayed one night but it was very peaceful and we were very comfortable.

Very picturesque hotel, we almost missed the entrance. Something to discover in every corner, Victorian chique.
Understaffed when we were there but trying their utmost to host their guests and make them feel welcome. Breakfast basic continental but very good dinner.

Oh dear, where have all the good reviews come from and how? This is Fawlty Towers on Royal Deeside, Manuel and Polly very busy, no sign of Basil or Sybil but a small child wandering around in a nappy was an added character . We knew something was up when we arrived to find another guest shouting at a ring doorbell on the reception desk! What a disappointment, the hotel is dirty, we refused to stay in our allotted room as it had not been cleaned, could write your name in the thick dust on all surfaces, so we split to two slightly cleaner single rooms, floor not vacuumed, don’t they iron sheets in Deeside? if it were not for our late arrival we would not have stayed, courtesy bottle of wine for our disappointment. Until this property is refurbished and the cleaners retrained I’m afraid we won’t be back and will never recommend.

The room has everything you need and the bed is so comfortable!
It’s a shame we couldn’t have time to explore the garden!

The owner was truly hospitable and kind. Room was snug and clean and the house is pretty amazing. We had a spread of breakfast available. But really thanks to the owner and his little dog for the best feeling of having a home for a night it almost felt like!

And the setting is magical.
