What to begin with ? The place is modern, clean and cosy. The staff take care of us, are generous and so nice. The breakfast is amazing too (buffet with everything you need to brunch if you want to). Love this place and sad to not stay longer here ...
The Anantara exceeded our expectations by leaps and bounds! We had not stayed at an Anantara before but certainly will have them on our radar in the future. Every single Anantara team member we encountered was warm, welcoming and so kind! It was my wife's birthday during our stay and the number of team members who wished her happy birthday rivaled our large family back home! We could not have asked for a better experience and HIGHLY recommend a stay at an Anantara resort as you will be wowed with the attention to details and the kindness of everyone involved in the operation! Many thanks for a wonderfully memorable stay!
Nice hospitality and very friendly staff. Breakfast is full of options, room and balcony are spacious and we met a new friend

The birthday surprise is also a highlight
Words cannot describe how excellent this resort was. Anantara tops all of the hotels (5-stars included) and resorts that I have been to.

Overall so well put together from the moment you are greeted by doormen to the moment you check out. The service is top notch and the welcome drink/complimentary welcome treats are extraordinary.

We had the kasara suite which included alcoholic drinks at certain times. Would highly recommend.

There are even different types of workout classes. We did the Ariel yoga with instructor Tee and she was amazing!

The koi pond next to the pool was such a nice touch. Will definitely be coming back the next time I am back in Chiang Mai. ❤️
A 5 star resort experience like no other. From the service to the rooms everything was perfectly planned for you. There is a huge breakfast spread serving both Chinese and western dishes.
An excellent hotel in some ways, but quite wanting in others. Excellent facilities, for example the gym, and location but the room is old and in need of an update.

Not to discredit many of the staff who actually went out of their ways to make the stay comfortable, the level of service is not quite what you would call a five star level.

For example, the hotel could not anticipate the number of guests staying resulting in a long queue at the breakfast and a long wait or when requesting for seasoning, the chef (in black) asked the guest to get it by themselves. Not to mention the mixed up in the tables during service and delayed in the food and drink delivery. Given, the breakfast spread is quite ample, the taste was not as special as the looks.

The spa and the masseurs were excellent.
Service was second to none. Every member of staff was happy, welcoming and willing to help. Outstanding room and clever layout. A building steeped in history and a great location. Food was excellent, breakfast under the tree and overlooking the river. Highly recommended. Even had the privilege of witnessing a Thai wedding. A perfect few days from which to explore Chaing Mai.
Awesome hotel. The rooms are a little small but nice for the price. The included breakfast often includes typical Thai breakfast items and also fried eggs, fruit, sweet items, cereal, etc. in a quiet neighborhood. It’s clean and staff is attentive to your satisfaction.
I'm back at this amazing Chiang Mai resort for the fourth time!

When I'm in Chiang Mai, Anantara Resort is my number one pick for "a place to stay". No matter if I'm here on business or for fun, this place never disappoints.

It's right on the Ping River. Rooms are spacious and well-appointed, and best of all, all rooms have amazing river views!

Breakfast here is one of the best in town (in my opinion), and there's a variety of Western and Thai options. Their Lanna Omelet is so good. Try their signature Lanna omelet if you want a taste of fusion-style northern food.

This is a great place to stay if you're looking for a weekend getaway or a delightful business trip in Chiang Mai. I would definitely stay here again if I'm in Chiang Mai next time.

Stella job! Anantara Chiang Mai team!
What an absolutely lovely hotel which is, almost impossible to fault.
From the lovely lobby area to each room to store shoes, the beautiful gardens and river front restaurant. Breakfast was superb with a great selection of fresh dishes each day. Location is super, just within easy reach of restaurants and markets.
Our room was beautifully appointed with sofas and loungers on the balcony (OK, we did go for a river view suite, read further for caution here).
The staff were amongst the most friendly and helpful I've ever encountered.
Now the caution, there are 2 very noisy restaurant/clubs next door which play loud music until midnight. Because of this, our peaceful river view suite was anything but! Just choose your room carefully!

I love having free water bottle on demand at the main floor: you just have to pick it up as needed! The rooms could be bigger. The bed feels like a firm surface under several layers of memory foam, which I found it surprisingly comfortable. Nice short walk to the Old city away from noise. The daily breakfast buffet includes both continental & Thai cuisine. The lobby area has a quiet area to either read/complete any computer tasks with multiple electrical ports available. In front of the lobby/entrance, there is a decent outdoor area that can be used for meditation, yoga, etc! Will stay here again in the future!

Nice hôtel common areas and room pretty clean 👌 the shower needs some more water pressure to be good. Free waters in the lobby. Little bit far from old town perfect if you like to escape the city to have a quiet night.

I LOVED this hotel.

My only complaint (and warning): I booked the Standard Twin City View room - unfortunately the hotel has neighbors with dogs that bark all throughout the night. I simply could not sleep even with my earbuds. After I complained to the hotel staff, the upgraded me to a garden view room and the problem was solved. My suggestion: if you can, book a room that says *garden view* if you think dogs barking will keep you up.

Everything else was PERFECT! Breakfast is amazing. Everything is clean. AC works great. TV is smart and can access Netflix, YouTube, etc. I would stay here again - thank you so much for a wonderful stay :)
Good Convenient, friendly and affordable for accommodation.
Lovely staff. Rooms for reasonable price. Pool table and bar. Really nice location.
This feels almost like a throwback to the good old days of guesthouses in Chiang Mai in the 1980s and 1990s. Quite basic, but fun and helpful people. There are some aircon rooms and some fan rooms.
