The hotel itself is nice. As far as water park section it was nice as well.

Pros:
*lockers available for purchase via qr code around $20-30 depending on size
*Lots of bathrooms and places to eat
*lots of rides and slides but best if child is over 48” to go on the fun tubed ones, only one tubed ride accompanied w adult if over 42” otherwise kiddie areas w kiddie slides and wave pool
*wave pool is the best
*hot tub for ages 6 plus and it goes outside too, so a chance for fresh air

Cons:
*freezing temps from warm temps not so good on the body.
*If going anywhere like to the cafe it’s freezing inside where employees are wearing long sleeves to work and your wet in bathing suit freezing from outdoor like weather, not pleasant
*Water is $5 a bottle anywhere but there was one bottle refill I saw but I don’t know if it worked
*No hand sanitizers by restaurants to eat or by food places to get food
*Bathroom to change to go out is freezing when wet so bad you’ll shiver
* tables with chairs are hard to come by bc people put their stuff everywhere and abandon them, tables for eating should be regulated and not hold other people’s items who don’t get a locker or put it on a chair not table to eat and abandon it.

If anything they need help regulating the temperatures do those enjoying their water park don’t freeze in bathrooms and food areas which causes people to get sick and not enjoy their time there wanting to leave sooner then later.

After freezing to get food at the cafe M something I left earlier then expected bc my son and I froze so bad we were miserable freezing waiting 20-30 minutes for his kids meal and didn’t want to get wet again after that. Was definitely horrible. Maybe would be better in summer bc I came in the winter but it is a nice park w rides. I’d give it 3 star if just water park but hotel is very nice so 4 star. Hotel has some pretty cool features inside and an arcade you have to walk through to get to the swim park.
We really enjoyed this water park. It was cleaner and more up to date than others we have been to. The food options and different stores were so great to have right there. All of the staff we encountered were friendly.

Convenient check in service… the rooms are not good… sheets are not as clean as they used to be and the shower handles are almost falling off. The cleaning service can definitely improve… the rides at the park (3 of them were closed!) flow rider is not available… they should really take the time to renovate a little bit more as some things are clearly lacking… arcade is good and has a lot of games to play!
The Kalahari Waterpark is truly a one-of-a-kind experience. As you enter, you will see a lazy river, Kalahari's signature VR slide, and a kid's play area. There are many paths to the variety of rides Kalahari has to offer. The slides often vary in intensity, usually being moderate-extreme. The slides themselves are well built for a thrilling experience, especially in the nighttime. If you want to take pictures, make sure you buy a waterproof phone case in advance.
Overall, I would recommned this park to adrenaline seeking teenagers and adults who want a better thrill.
My family and I went there and everything was beautiful, the water was clean, the rooms were also clean and very good, and the services were great. We spent two days and one night, and I am happy to say that I will be back as soon as possible.

First timer to kalahari indoor waterpark. We booked a resort and it was good .. rooms were spacious and very comfortable . Cost of the water park is a little more than all other parks . May be worth just once . Good and other things are very expensive inside ..

Waterpark wise , it was good. We loved the wave pool 🌊 all the rides were good . Kids loved it . Lazy river was good and the splash zone was kids favorite . Again, I thought it was expensive /.. wish it was cheaper . Lots of parking outside and located in the heart of poconos . Loved it overall if not the the price …
👎Over the years this resort has changed, I went a few days ago and they haven’t went to my room to change the papers in the bathroom, not even took out the trash and didn’t change the bed sheets for 3 DAYS!and paid for room service. There’s not even one water in the room just in case for my kids, I had to pay 4 dollars for a small water. Don’t even bother with the food they have it’s burned, dry and no flavor what so ever also very expensive . BRING YOUR OWN FOOD.
The most expensive fun you will have ... well at least at a waterpark hotel. would be nice to come to a place like this and not cost an arm and a leg .... one suggestion is don't bother with the over priced onsite restaurants and simply have something delivered. next stay in a cheap hotel the night before to avoid paying 300 to "sleep"

All my kids (ages from 2 to 6) had a lot of fun in here. The food taste much better than some of their competitors close by and the price is very reasonable.

Our favorite one is the Outdoor WaterPark’s Foam Daddy. Everyone is so happy with the foam and rush to jump into the pool to wash off their bubbles. So cute and hilarious.

The temperature of the cold water and Sauna water are perfect, you won’t feel extremely uncomfortable when constantly switching from one to another.

The only disappointment we had was the sudden shut down of the water slide. My husband and I were waiting for Smoke the Thunder and we were the next one, and all of the sudden the water was shut down and nobody can tell us what happened and how long it will take to resume the slide. The same thing happened to Anaconda the next day. :(
Very fun last-minute idea for the kiddos. The cabana was a nice touch, perfect for all-day use. Drinks and food prices are what's expected for a place like this, but there are local stores/restaurants if you're looking to save money or have a large family. The kids thoroughly enjoyed themselves, but on the last day, we all came down with colds. At first, we just had our eyes irritated (assuming from chlorine), but we were all coughing and sneezing by the time we were in our rooms for the night. Not sure why as to the cause since we got there totally fine, and we spent two nights there. We're fine now after a day of rest and allergy meds/eye drops. All in all, it's a fun getaway weekend for the kids, and we'll will keep it as a future option to visit again.
We have lived 2mi away for 5yrs and this was our first visit. The larger water slides are really fun but we were disappointed that so many slides (about half) were closed. The wave pool was also closed most of the day. The swim up bar was fun but when we went outside the hot tub had a lot of debris in it, clumps of hair on the bottom. Drinks were yummy. Our toddlers enjoyed the two kiddie areas appropriate for them. Some of the equipment was pretty worn. About 80% of the water table items were broken. I was surprised to see that some of the adult slides were dirty with brown stains but you’re on a tube for those so we weren’t really concerned. The staff were all friendly and helpful. My husband liked the wave rider but after waiting in line for 30min they told him he had to watch a training video first. We didn’t see any signs explaining this but maybe we missed it. We went on a mon-tues so there were basically no lines for the slides (5 min max). Our longest line was about 15min to get our towels because a guest was arguing with the staff member about something for 10+ min. Personally, I wouldn’t come on a more crowded day. The room was okay- simple, standard. There were some tiny blood stain spots on one of my pillows and there was a small rip in the carpet and it was missing about a 3in section.
Overall it was worth the $250 for our family to be able to use the park for two days but we would have enjoyed using the other half of the adult slides and the kids would have enjoyed a higher functioning kiddie area. If we book a room again it will just be for the tickets, we probably won’t stay in the room.
Side note- I wish they offered a discount for locals for day passes. It’s $80+ per person per day. This is why it was cheaper to just book a room.
We visited the indoor water park with our toddler. There is a major lack of signage/instruction at the park for what slides are appropriate for both adult and toddlers as I wanted to accompany her. When asking for guidance I felt the life guards all told me something different. I felt like most of the time was spent with staff telling us we couldn’t be on a certain ride, etc. while observing other parents with toddlers waiting in lines. It was frustrating.
Also very overcrowded and heavily chlorinated.
There was no soap in the family bathroom, which is a problem especially for parents changing their child.
We have stayed here a couple of times and it was amazing. This time a lot has changed and it’s definitely not worth the money anymore. They have gotten too busy and customer service hasn’t kept up.

They added kiosk check-in, which is awesome because check-in went much faster. Our room was ready early- also awesome. The water park itself was great.

But…..when our room was ready I pulled the car up to the front entrance to unload it. It had been pouring the entire day and I was told by an employee that the covered area was now valet only and I would have to pull forward and unload my car in the rain. So because I didn’t spend $40/night on valet I have to unload my car in the rain and there’s no covered space I can use. We get to our room and there’s not enough pillows and blankets. I text the number they use for those things, they text back it’ll be up shortly. They never came. I later texted about that and the front entrance issue, they ask if they can call me; never do. The next day I ask again, they ask what time and phone number they can call me at and never do. They advertise the resort as completely cashless but you need quarters for the washer and dryer. Didn’t find that out until after schlepping wet laundry up the elevator and all the way down the hall. Good luck finding anyone to change out your 20s for smaller bills. Housekeeping replaced our towels while we were out and didn’t give us any more toilet paper 🤦🏻‍♀️. 1 roll for 6 people for 3 days. It was late when we got back to the room and noticed. My husband went down to try to get some, no one at the front desk. He had to roll a bunch up from one of the lobby bathrooms. Still never got the pillows or blankets I requested, and didn’t get to talk to anyone about the issue out front. Also, the buffet is only breakfast now, they used to have the buffet open for lunch and dinner. Maybe that’s for best though, since they’re rationing toilet paper now.
We had such a great time actually experiencing the water park this year. It wasn't packed and was clean and everyone was on top of everything and super friendly. The kids enjoyed them selves so much the parents were exhausted but it was worth everything to see the smiles. Thank you so much for the complimentary tickets from the blackout a year ago....
Place was nice and the kids enjoyed it. We rented a cabana which can be very expensive but worth it if you split between friends with kids. The service started out a little slow as we had to wait almost an hour for nachos. It wasn’t until I called that they sent our order. Our server was very apologetic but we were never compensated in any form for our inconvenience. I feel that the water park itself is bigger than camelback but the hotel rooms and decor are better in Camelback. We all enjoyed ourselves in the grotto.
This is a wonderful park for both kids and adults. The temperature inside is warm so you aren't cold when you get out of the water. There is something for all ages. The last bite even sells dog biscuits!!! The staff is super friendly. Even the restaurants there. Some seemed to have a long line around lunch but I was super surprised at not only how quick it was to get ordered but how fast our food came as well. There are lockers for rent which are nice if u don't have a large group and don't want to leave valuable laying around. But even if you had to I don't think you would have to worry. There are SO many life guards around. All waiting to help in any possible way!!! It was a blast!!!
Kalahari has a great indoor water park, nice restaurants and a huge arcade and game room. If you need to getaway from the winter blues this place fits the bill! It's very beautiful, with lots of art and African Culture at every turn. They even have a nice outside park if you visit during the warner months, so this is a great place to visit all year round. Prices were very good for what they offer. Food can be a little pricey sometimes, if not for that, I would've definitely given it 5 stars, but they more than deserving of 4.
I originally visited Kalahari in 2021 with my daughter and a large work group- 5 stars then it was amazing.

With that being said I returned with family in early September 2022, and what a negative change! Upon arriving the first day more than half of the indoor water park was roped off and closed. This included areas such as Coral Cove, an entire lazy river, Grotto bar, Cheetah races, Screaming Hyena and Sahara Sidewinder. Furthermore, I was told when walking around the “Splash down Safari” that my daughter was too small (2 years old) to be in that section (mind you we weren’t even getting on the slides or stairs just walking around observing what was there.
So here I am hundreds of dollars paid to stay overnight for this water park, concerned that my daughter literally has next to nothing to do at this visit compared to our last visit so I bring up my concerns about everything being closed and the fact I wasn’t informed at check in, or on their website that so much was going to be closed and I would have cancelled or rescheduled to when everything is available, and was told that the park often close “duplicate things down” and that the one kiddie pool is still open. I didn’t drive five hours with my family and a toddler for half of the attractions to not be offered!!

We enjoyed dinner that night at Blux, our waitress was fantastic, the food was delicious. However, I did note that there was no dinner buffet option during our stay like there was at my last visit.

I won’t be returning, for those reading this perhaps during peak months it would be worth a trip with young children when everything *should* be available to them but HIGHLY RECOMMEND avoiding “slow months” due to how negative this experience was. It left a sour taste in my mouth for what should have been a fun filled family get away.
This place is amazing for the entire family. there are enough slides to entertain everyone. We had a great time with our 4 year old who wouldn't stop going through the water slides over and over.
