When I ask for a master stylist to cut my hair and they aren’t available for the time I need. I would prefer if they just told me to wait it out until I can get an appointment instead of recommending someone else that’s in training but praising her work and also getting out in a chair in the back with no windows and the guy working behind us is pointing his blow dryer at me chit chatting with his client. Maybe it was an off day but I wish I just waited for a better experience

I recently returned to this salon to have Luca cut my hair.

The hair dressers are all playing “how fast can I finish this haircut?” I asked for a trim because I wanted to keep my length. She cut off 4 inches and gave me uneven bangs. I didn’t have bangs when I walked in-neither did I ask for them. I walked out with hair dripping because she didn’t dry it. I went directly to another hairdresser to have the uneven bangs fixed.

I recently visited the Vaughan branch for what I hoped would be a refreshing haircut experience. However, what I got was far from satisfactory. Once in the chair, it became apparent that the stylist had little regard for my desired look. Despite providing clear instructions and even showing a picture for reference, they seemed disinterested and proceeded to hack away at my locks with reckless abandon. The end result? A lopsided mess that resembled something straight out of a horror movie. Not only was the cut uneven, but it also looked nothing like what I had asked for. To add insult to injury, the stylist seemed completely oblivious to their mistakes and even dared to ask if I was satisfied with their handiwork.

I would strongly advise anyone considering a visit to steer clear unless they enjoy leaving with a butchered haircut and an empty wallet.

I’m a returning customer for about two years now, and my husband also comes here for his haircut. Owner is very professional and gives you exactly what you asked for in 15 minutes (for men) to 25 minutes (for women). Price point is reasonable too. Will keep coming back and support!

Been going to Lucas for a few years now, and his work speaks for itself! He's a perfectionist! He takes the time to make sure you're getting the cut you ACTUALLY want. It took me a while to find a good barber/hair stylist I like (and didn't give a lopsided cut) and this guy is the one you want to go to for that cut. Highly recommend, go find out for yourself.

I have been going here for the last five years. Omid is always welcome. It's also the first time I've seen someone who knows what they're doing like him Toronto!!!

The experience was extremely bad. It costed me $50 for just a hair cut with no hair wash. Very unreasonable price. The stylist was unprofessional, where I asked for collarbone length and she made it to above shoulder length. It was not what I want but she kept making it shorter. I asked for layers and she made the layers super messy, where left and right were unequal and some were way too short. Later I asked for a cut with my bangs again she just made a simple cut with no technique. I found that the bangs were uneven on both sides. The lady also asked if I want rounded back and I said yes, however, all I can see after was just messy and uneven lengths at the back, with some of my hair being very very short. Now my hair is looking very clumsy. The overall experience was super bad and the lady’s cutting was very unprofessional. Her cuts are so uneven and random. I was very disappointed with my hair cut. Avoid this salon if you can!

This business no longer exists. The short haired woman in the pic had a booth at the CNE which used this address but when I called the p# the lady said it's a private no. Stop calling even tho it was my 1st time calling. The woman said many ppl. R calling regarding a salon. This was a scam at the CNE selling faulty hair products. The woman and men that sold the hair products at the CNE were French Cdn. From Montreal. If anyone has info on who they r plz note so more ppl. Will report.

The haircut is always rushed and the stylist seems to have preferred customers. For the amount they charge, you can definitely find a better place. Lose hair strands everywhere and uneven. While I was getting my cut, other people came in asking her to do a touch up..this happened each time I was there. Seems like she needs to be more meticulous.

I have been going to Modern hair salon for more than 13 years. Omid the owner is one of the most competent hair stylists I have ever seen in Canada. Not only does he know what he is doing, he is also friendly and welcoming from the moment you enter the store. I totally recommend this place to any one who is looking for a new barber. This is a place that you will see yourself coming to for years to come.

This was my first time visiting this salon and probably my last. Their price was very fair ($50 incl.tax), but I definitely expected a little more effort than the bare minimum. The lady spent only 15 minutes to quickly cut my hair and did not include a hair wash. The worst part is the hair was cut unevenly with the left side significantly longer than the right side.

I went to Mary for 24 years before I moved more south. She always did a great job and was such a wonderful person to be around. She saw me and both my brothers grow up from little boys into adulthood. I remember coming to her in the promenade long before they moved to Centre St. I 100% recommend Salon E. She’ll always be my unofficial Zia Mia.

The staff are pleasant, friendly people.
They mostly do a great job, especially the proprietor.
If you bring a photo of what you want, they're even more likely to do a good job.
Prices are substantially cheaper than other comparable locations.

Would recommend, especially if you have Asian hair. At the moment this is the only place I trust to cut my hair right.

My friend Sarah refereed me to Amilio I called to ask for him because I was told her was very very good and I told him my name and he kept saying I wont tell you who I am until you tell me who you are. LIKE WOW DO YOU HAVE SOMETHING TO HIDE....Very unprofessional and now I will go somewhere to get my hair done and I will tell my friends how ignorant he is and not to go there.....you sir should not be in business period do to the way you treat people. I would rather go to great clips cheaper and more confessional staff. The funny thing is all I wanted to do is pamper myself with a hair cut, wash and color for my birthday....never ever ever go here

IN TEARS, THE CUSTOMER RAN TO GET THE MESS RESOLVED TO ANOTHER SALON

REFUND THIS CLIENT'S MONEY AND HIRE DECENT STYLISTS!
SO SAD THAT YOU HAVE LET YOUR SALON SLIDE.
THE OWNER WAS RUDE AND HUNG UP ON THE CLIENT'S MOTHER THE NEXT DAY WHEN SHE TRIED TO WORK OUT A RESOLUTION.
